I mean, what do you expect them to do? You already basically can't hit a QB, can't hit the head or neck in any way, can't hit a defenseless player or drive a tackle
Player safety?! The game is almost unrecognizable!!!! The defenders worry more about getting a penalty than the player with the ball about to get hit!!!
i’m sorry but these taunting calls are getting obsessive. they also seem to be getting softer week after week. what’s next, taunting for patting your teammate’s helmet after they make a good play ? when does this end ?
I swear each year there’s “an emphasis” on one call and it’s 9 times out of ten completely horse shit. One dude spun the ball after a big play and got called for taunting. Back 5-10 years ago that was just normal. I don’t understand it at all.
The NFL learned a few things from NASCAR. Whenever a sporting body puts emphasis on a particular rule, they're trying to control the outcome of the game.
Or fucking "roughing the passer" Those calls are bullshit, quarterback throws the ball as the defense is mid tackle (*WHISTLE*)PERSONAL FOUL! ROUGHING THE PASSER! I was mid tackle, what could I have done? 20 YARD PENALTY, PLAYER IS EJECTED
@@nate_the_great8387 spin the ball after a great play.. these dudes are spinning it after everyplay, 4 yard gain.. and u spin the ball? should be a penalty for being a idiot
Dalvin thought JJ was trying to injure him on the play that’s y he got mad he admitted it in an interview but his o line were telling JJ just give him space bc they could tell the conversation went left
True, but the league did tell the teams and players that taunting would be a point of emphasis this season...college graduates should be able to comprehend that.
Hell no, we all get that someone should be able to express themselves. Even if it makes someone else upset. It's a game, it's an honest tactic. It's just the rules being more sensitive when they don't need to be.
0:08 you can see Turner arguing with the referee, then he runs over several yards to say something to the Raider's player, then he argues with another referee and tries to walk through the ref. He's gone as soon as he argues with the referee and tries to continue the argument with the Raiders. - Interesting how the home town commentators can't see the obvious.
Sweat is a bodily fluid. Try officiating that! Personal Foul: Dripping Sweat Intentionally on another Player...Or, Non-Touching, Inadvertent Sweating along the line of scrimmage by the Offense. 5 Yard Penalty
There was one or 2 of those taunts are pretty legit. It's one thing to kinda celebrate and flex after a play, but like flexing up on somebody in their face starts fights and they're trying to tone that down, which is understandable. Dudes be gettin all kinds of emotional 🙍♀️😄
Dude JJ Watt accidentally hurt that Vikings player and he felt bad so he kneed in front of him seeing if he was okay or not and then other people got mad a him for hurting him while it’s football people always get hurt even if it’s on purpose or not
Certain culture of people prioritizing the posturing or defending of their "manhood". It's so comical because it always results in penalizing their entire team :D
Good God the NFL HQ are effing Crazy... "Un-sportsmanlike Conduct, Offense. #43 LOOKED at the Defender and crossed his eyes..." "Unsportsmanlike Conduct, Taunting the Defence. Defender #2 poked his tongue at the Offence..." "Penalty Taunting - The bench of the Offence, by chanting 'I am Rubber, you are Glue what I say sticks to you'..." "Penalty unsportsmanlike conduct - Defence: For hidind the sideline Referees whistle in my pants, a 60 yard penalty against all of New England's opponents in every quarter of every game, until the end of the regular season by order of Commissioner Rodger Goodell..."
The first play the Pissburgh player spits on the Raiders player. Wow. Spits on him. What a piss-poor pathetic unsportsmanlike act. And it was the Raider that gets thrown out? No, there is no league-office protection of the Stealers.
So fun to watch the sterile game of Robo-Football these days. Just 11 emotionless husks of what were once prime athletes, moving a ball coldly from one end of the field to the other. Simply riveting.
OMG Let them TAUNT! Let it lead to fights! Better an out and out in your face than a zebra's subjective call. And while we are at it, if a zebra loses a hat due to INADVERTANT brushing by a player's equipment while the zebra is swinging his arms around inside a group - too bad. No foul on that. Um, but don't let Chuckie swear anymore.
Owners vote on all rule changes and make recommendations to the NFL Officials Association for areas of emphasis. I really don’t think they care since they propose and want certain things enforced. They’re the ones who truly run the league and Goodell is just a puppet
I think there's more contact in soccer nowadays. You can't hit high, can't hit low, can't taunt, can't celebrate. Is football still considered a contact sport??? I think I can make it onto a football team since they're not allowed to hit me :P
One thing I don’t get, and maybe that have to say something, but if they’re pushing and shoving why not throw the flag there? So many of these flags like the one at @9:38 the Steelers player was pretty much walking away at that point
I swear it’s going to end up being flag football by the time they’re done with all these new stupid rules, and if you got two guys for unsportsmanlike conduct get rid of both guys not just one.
For real. I remember when it was all about hard hitting, fighting, real football. Might as well just turn this into the FFL. That stand for Flag Football League lol.
Say what you want.. as a RB, I liked it when people lowered there heads on me. Putting them on the ground just meant more when it was let all out in that moment.
Contact with an official gotta be the worst penalty in the rulebook. I get you can't punch a ref or something but I've NEVER seen it called right. It's ALWAYS for something accidental and/or minor.
These taunting calls are pathetic.....bunch of crybaby "woke" bs is ruining sports. Pretty soon no contact tag and everybody gets a trophy. Let men be men ffs.
Maybe if the ref wasn't in the middle of the shit they wouldn't get touched and there wouldn't be contact with an official. Refs in all sports need to be brought back down to earth and start being penalized for stupid calls.
When chargers WR Allen got butthurt cuz he thought it was helmet to helmet sorry to say but it was shoulder to helmet...get over it boohoo pretty sure you can feel when it's helmet to helmet or shoulder to helmet
Some of these rules are beyond stupid. He bumped a refs hat? Out of the game. Taunt? Well they failed to stop you but come on that may hurt the other teams fifis. We got to punish that.
NFL is too soft now. They should be able to do anything they want to each other. 104 man bench emptying fights every play. Give them weapons too. Does anyone even care about the games this year? We all know its gonna be another TB12 vs. the Rams snoozefest SB. The fights are the only thing keeping this league entertaining.
