Justin Tucker should unironically be a first ballot hall of famer. It’s more surprising when he misses a field goal than it is to watch him make a 66 yarder.
@@hmsfan9 he’s the best kicker of all time for sure. And imo he should be a hall of famer, but no kicker has ever gotten that honor, so idk what it will take for one to make it.
I’m a browns fan and I went to the Browns Ravens game in Cleveland around Christmas time he was kicking from 70+ and I was so shocked to see him miss in Warm ups and him missing twice in that game
The fact that it’s more surprising that Justin Tucker missed a 68 yarder than him being sent out to try it in the 1st place goes to show just how good he really is
I enjoy these artillery shots. They are all possible, yet they are more surprising when they go through. You feel the tension when it's done at the end of the halves. It's the final decisive moment that can make or break a game. It's amazing how all the downs, all the yards, all of regulation and then some can add up to one critical move made by one person. The starter, who on average, is on the field the least amount of time, yet they can make the biggest play. Just let it sail through...!
I would not be surprised if I saw a statue of Tucker in Baltimore in 30 years he’s at another level just unbelievable, would have been nice to have him make the 67 yard field goal though
Greg Joseph’s 61 game winner against the Giants week 16 was unreal. Not only that, but that was a franchise record for the Vikings I believe, at least what the announcer said The Saints double doink against the Vikings in London was hilarious
Doug Pederson wouldnt be so relieved if it were any one but Justin Tucker attempting 67 yards. The fact that the coaches fear him from 67 yards attests to how great he really is.
What I love about this video is the drama of not knowing in advance what will happen! It wasn't too long ago a 60-yard attempt wasn't even considered. Now it not only is possible, it is one of the most exciting plays you'll ever see in an NFL game!
god i feel bad for these kickers when they miss, especially the game winners. like how do you feel when you had the game in your hands and you dropped and and lost. i can only imagine they are thinking to themselves: "damn i fucked up, didn't it?"
celebrating like you won the superbowl over the other team’s missed field goald, in the first quarter of a 0-0 game HAS to be one of the corniest things i’ve ever seen.
I like how there's just a straight TWO-MINUTE stretch of video that's nothing but Vikings games. Some stats: -2022 was the first year ever that teams combined attempted over 200 FGs from 50+, with 224 total attempts. That shattered the previous year's record of 182 attempts. -154 total attempts were successful, an accuracy of 68.75%. The previous record for makes was 120 in the previous year. If the accuracy isn't a record, it's in the top 5. Back in 2019, people were talking about a "kicking regression." By now that's been conclusively shown to be an anomaly (2019 did have the lowest conversion rate in a decade, but it didn't persist).
In the late 70's I saw Raphael Septien kick three 70 yard field goals in the Super dome before a game with the Saints , it's too bad that the coach didn't give him an opportunity during that year.😊
Janakowski from the Raiders was hands down one THE best all time field goal kickers ever..he could kick a 66 yarder in a freakin blizzard like it was nothin. *Fun fact: Practicing before a game, Janakowski was kicking from 70 yards out. In the snow. For fun... Justin attempting that 68 monster was a pretty good try considering that he almost makes it. Tho he nearly missed it, it was pretty bad ass nonetheless.
Mybe a all horrible and controversial calls of the 2022-2023 wildcard, divisional round, and the championship in one video.... plzzzzz. Or the best horrible and controversial calls of the season
These guys still made almost two-thirds of these mega long kicks. 10 years ago almost no one could hit these. Nerf the kickers, man. Make the K ball heavier or something.
