@@soulcraftgoods if you get problems with NFL for selling products with their name then just make them as a appreciation gift if people donate x amount. then youre not selling the product. XD
@@MrLarsgren Most they can do anyways is hit them with a cease-and-desist letter That’s all if the NFL even did that over this. They are petty af but I don’t know that they’d want the backlash over this 1 Because this for 1 was requested by a former NFL Player
Huge respect for any quality leather workers. As a knife maker, leather work is my biggest pain and most don't realize the amount if skill it takes to make quality leather products.
@@GVQuadra they said that it takes a large amount of skill to work leather So even hobbyist level takes a lot of skill because of the nature of leather No one said anything about the dude being a pro. You were just looking for a chance to feel superior. Hope it worked, if feeling better than others in a RU-vid comment section is a goal of yours, you must not have much good out in real life.
@@nyrea8163 not really, it’s more of a please never change type of thing. Because we see it too often nowadays that people quick to fame just become dicks and money hungry.
You make very nice items, it's always good to see someone that takes pride in their craftsmanship. As a woodworker/ Carpenter that does everything to fix a house I too understand the time it takes to learn your craft & the additional time you need to perfect it, so good job and keep it up.
as a leather worker myself I fully get the feeling it's great to do these little once in a lifetime projects that you know the owner will cherrish I always get a buzz when I a customer cannot wait to get home and instantly ditches their old wallet to use the new
What a great dad! He turned something that they could possibly fight over in the future into purely something sentimental/ artisan craft in its value now
Yes! shorts used to be an introduction to a great creative person's website or even construction companies which I didnt mind since we bought a fixer in retirement! Now negativity seems on trend!?
Absolutely brilliant video. Love hand crafted anything. Lotta love put into it, can last longer, and you support someone who is keeping up beautiful human traditions. Very inspirational video 🙏
He could make a living out of doing that, but wouldn't become a millionaire. To do that he would have to send the leather to China and have the goods made there.
If he's contracted by the NFL to make high end collectibles for serious fans and NFL players and management, he could do very, very well for himself indeed.
@@josephmiller4526 it’s not. He’s simply taking a licensed product that he purchased and repurposing it. If he branded the wallets himself then it would be infringement. I sell things all the time with repurposed car parts. Old Chevrolet truck tailgates make great benches. People do this all the time.
@@josephmiller4526 thats why it was a project. any future "donations" the player and family may give to the guys patreon or w/e. are just donations! lol
@@josephmiller4526 He isn't selling them, they're for the NFL player and his family, out of footballs that where used in the NFL, there's no infringements there, and what he's doing is not illegal.
I really wish my Dad was still with us. I would have loved to have given him one! He went pro after 4 years with Razorbacks. Played for Baltimore Colts as well as played & coached in Canadian Football League. Great thing you are doing!
I love a good upcycle of what would otherwise be trash. Nt only were your choices inspired, your craftsmanship is exceptional. Using all the parts of the football you could to especially feature the football's logos and stamps, truly is beatiful. These will be tremendously received and I betcha you're going to get a lot more orders from a lot more people. Wait until they pull out the wallet and keychain. Somebody will say (well, LOTS of somebodies), " This is the coolest wallet I've ever seen! Where'd you get that?" And the rest will be history. And it couldnt happen to a seemingly cooler dude. Be and stay blessed. Stay humble and your talent will take you the rest of the way.
