The two guys defending Watson are gross in their own right. Myles Garret assaulted a man and lied about racial slurs being used, and Winston sexually assaulted two women. Gross team all around.
I hate to say it, but the Titoons are back. I generally have a rule when using my models for betting on moneyline games, "Never bet against the Titans even if they're supposed to lose." It mainly came from my fandom, but also because during Vrabel's tenure, we would often be underdogs and somehow win. This team is not that team, and we're bad. We're so bad, that I broke my 'don't bet against the Titans rule'. The season is lost, and the only thing to look forward to is if we're getting the #1 pick or not. I won't begin to assume what the issue is. First year coach, bad scheme, players not trying, or bad players, but spending all that money, and getting a new coach has not worked out at all. Good luck to that front office.
Regarding the Mahomes scramble discussion starting at 9:33, I have to agree with Conor. I saw it coming as the play was occurring, and I've seen QBs do that before, and it is awful that that is allowed. It puts defensive players in a terrible bind that is wholly unfair, and the league needs to address it as the unfair advantage that it is. And yeah, take the penalty, just be sure to clock him as hard as you can if he tries it. It's going to be worth the penalty in many cases, and it would be good for your team and good for the game.
The popular narrative for years was that Jared Goff just wasn't good enough to bring the "genius" of Sean McVay's offense to fruition. Well .... maybe it's time people start asking if the reason for Goff's lack of success was the coaching of McVay.
Surprised there was no mention of Davante Adams' no show during the Jets recap. You know your organization is trash when they're on the losing end of a trade with the Raiders 😂
Deshaun Watson has been paid a thousand times over what he deserves. He escaped any legal judgement for his actions and only had to pay out a fraction of his disgustingly overblown salary to his victims. His play was terrible and himself and the FO held a fanbase hostage to, as well pointed out in the show, a forcing of complex emotions between decency and fanhood. Myles Garrett is incorrect and should be ashamed of the words he chose. He can opt into the idea that being on a team means sticking with your teammates no matter what horrible things theyve done, but he downplays the women deshaun assaulted dramatically's pain to a laughable degree. Watson doesnt deserve your pity or support because he never cared enough to actually own up to his actions. Also, he never gave a shit about cleveland. He only went there because that team was dumb enough to fully guarantee his salary. They adjusted his deal to make it so he suffered minimally for his suspension and this is what they did it for. Nothing.
I agree with Conor about Mahomes pretending to run out of bounds. He's been doing it for multiple seasons and I don't know why the NFL Rules Committee hasn't kiboshed it. Halfway through the Miami game, it looked like Waddle and Hill were so uninvolved in the game plan that they were jokingly (but also probably not really jokingly at all) crossing their fingers that they'd get some opportunities for catches while talking to their coach on the sideline. Marc's intro to the London game made me laugh a strange noise I'd never made before. The London crowd looked like it was 1/3 Jags, 1/3 Pats, 2/4 other teams... yeah I think that adds up... but there were a lot of identical Jags flags, which I jadedly presume were handed out before the game in an effort to make it look more like a Jaguars home crowd. The Vikings and Bears had considerably more fans in their "home" games. I hope Graver has had a density scan or whatnot on his bones to rule out underlying conditions and also to help prepare dietary and exercise options that will keep his bones from becoming weaker through age. Shoot, why the heck have I not done that myself?! I now realize the Steelers do not play at a place called "aquashore stadium", which I always presumed was an Axe-level bodyspray company. I was really glad the Sunday night game wasn't a close final score after the Steelers blocked an extra point but got a why-can't-the-NY-office-review-these type of penalty resulting in the Jets scoring a 2 pt conversion. I was up late watching the Orionid meteor shower and stayed up a couple hours more later excitedly listening to this episode. What a weekend!
Chiefs 6-0 despite missing Rice, Pacheco and Smith-Schuster…still only very grudging praise from Dan while Connor rages about Mahomes playing by the rules 😂
All I'll say about the mahomes fake out of bounds was it reminded me of that clip of amon ra saying how lions coaches be telling defence to hit stick if a qb stays in bounds. And take the flag if you have to. Now we know why 😂
Everyone hates the Chiefs because you whine & complain while being the on-field Overlord! You get 91% of calls, get talked about for half-a-decade straight, and STILL don't have the perspective to appreciate the other 31.
Connor can shake his head all he wants but if Lamar, J Allen, or Baker did that 33 yard scramble the entirety of X's cheek bones would break through their faces from pogging so hard at it. But Mahomes it's oh man that's no fair he's abusing the rules.
Defenders aren’t scared to hit Lamar and Allen because Lamar and Allen don’t get those automatic 15 yard penalties for getting slightly touched by defensive players.
Really disagree with the "Mahomes faked going out of bounds" take. Watching the play, there was nothing he did to fake running out of bounds unless him simply getting close to the sideline counts.
Absolutely zero fake out of bounds, just a stop-start while Givens overruns the pursuit. Beautiful piece of running reminiscent of the AFCCG against the Titans.
People only care because it's Mahomes. Same as when they knocked buffalo out of the playoffs in OT a couple years ago. People really hate Mahomes and the Chiefs (and prolonged success in general)
I'm sorry but Connor's Mahomes sideline take is just naive and whiny. The LB flew past him on his way out of bounds and Mahomes just turned up the field like any football player who is trying to win would do. There's no rule or even unwritten rule about a QB having to continue out of bounds when he is deemed a runner. If you hit anyone out of bounds it's a penalty, so what's the complaint? Just because it's him? Is he really supposed to stand at the presser and go "Well I went out of bounds because of my place in the league and the protected status of QBs as opposed to previous eras." Completely ridic.
Exactly. Mahomes made one man miss and then went upfield. He sounds like one of the twitter engagement baiting trolls who push false narratives to get likes.
😂😂 you wrote a darn essay about a single negative take. You're 6-0, defending Champs. Who's the whiny one actually? I agree with Connor, Mahomes is gonna get rocked near the sideline soon enough
For Mahomes along the sideline stuff it's hilarious it doesn't come up with Allen and Lamar. They do it so much more frequently and don't get hit with this BS. L for Connor
Not to ,emotion that Allen gets the calls they pretend mahomes gets. Allen leads the league in unnecessary roughness last few years and he gets talked about as a warrior where they call mahomes a wimp
In game injuries wreck Shanahan. He’s a great coach, I’m glad we have him and he gives the Niners an advantage over 85 percent of the teams. But he’s never been able to pivot when Deebo/Aiyuk/Kittle get hurt in game. NFC West is still open, the Niners are still a team you don’t want to see in January. But not a Super Bowl run which is okay.
LOVE Goff, one of my fave all-time QB's, but they're at Home vs the Terrible Titans and they should consider resting him after the 1st Half of the game (assuming the lead is already comfortable). Why take a chance and keep him in there? 🦁🐱
@@kahlilpittman8404 Yep, yesterday was my 1st time ever watching him (yeah right, been a HUGE fan since he was drafted by my Rams....altho I confess I find my self rooting for Lions MORE these days cuz i'm such a big Goff fan)
@@motelghost477 it's why I bet the Seahawks to win the division! The schedule is not only difficult, but some of the away games are on short weeks/other teams coming off a bye, etc.
I didn’t mind the Mahomes juke on the sideline because that’s what it was. It’s not like he started to walk or put his hands up or slide or anything. He was just using the sideline as an advantage and the defender did not take a good angle and he got around him.
i predicted we would be 5-1 at this point. I still think we vould hif a rough patch somewhere in the season but i ztill have us winning 12 games and a SB. The only team that scares me is the Chiefs
9:58 Mahomes gets pushed out of bounds without receiving a flag quiet a bit. I get the Bengals playoff game that ended in a personal roughness sticks out but this is a rough look for someone who gets paid to talk football. “You can’t utilize use your stature in the game against someone else.” Wow twitter narratives really got to this guy😂😂😂
come on conor… if mahomes fakes going out of bounds and someone hits him because he’s still in bounds, they wouldn’t get a penalty. i do love you being upset by the dishonesty of tricking a defender, though. that speaks to a strong moral compass.
The fake going out of bounds arguement is dumb. You can push it tackle someone out of bounds without getting a fumble. In this game no one even touched him or had a chance to to push him out. Plenty of ways to get him out of bounds cleanly.
Colts should should just bench him for the year and do nothing but work on his basics in training. A wild card spot (at least) is attainable for them with Flacco behind centre. I'm having doubts as to whether Richardson will make it, at least as a QB. Maybe better off at RB.
First off, please don’t let the Titans fan cover Colts games. Second, stop with the Flacco NONSENSE. He is 40, he can not be the future. If they play Flacco and give up on Richardson reps, they are in the same spot they have been in since Luck. This is not a Super Bowl team, Flacco is not perfect, so we are not a Flacco away from a ring. Even if he was this flawless QB, he’s not making up for this sorry ass defense. Flacco at QB is a treadmill that sets the franchise back. Richardson might set the franchise back, but at least has a shot to move it forward. Edit: To question Downs and Richardson connection is insane and highlights why he shouldn’t be doing our games lol. Flacco is a better passer and can take advantage more, so it’s going to look better. But Richardson and Downs have been locked in since they got drafted together. Literally throwing balls in the parking lot at the hotel.
Chiefs missing WR1 WR2 RB1 CB2 DE2 DE3. If you’re gonna complain about injuries for one team maybe look up the injuries the other team is dealing with.
The speific reason why the MVP and COtY award are pointless participation trophies for those not good enough to win titles is as follows: In a glorious, 62 year long career, Tom Brady won MVP three times. Meanwhile his coach, the best head coach in NFL history, Bill Bellichick, won COtY twice. All the other years it was Riverboat Ron, Matt Ryan and all the other peasants. It's embarrassing to get these things when you almost inevitably fail to win a title. It is like giving everyone hotdogs after the game if you're coaching children or something. No! Only the winning team gets hotdogs over here! Now go cry out of earshot, you losers!
Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes and Andy Ried are the GOAT's and you all will sit here and complain about it and whine about it and moan about it but for the last nearly decade you deal with it and for the next decade you will deal with it. And you will say 'thank you NFL, may I have some more?' Suck it. Patrick Mahomes for President of the United Realms Of The Multiverse 2024 #RegisterToVite
😂😂 nobody is complaining about 2 time MVP Lamar, or Rookie of the Year CJ Stroud etc.. Maybe the specific play in question is what they have a problem with and they actually have massive respect for Mahomes and Andy Reid
