Thought provoking angle on the Titans. I realized about a month ago that the coaching is causing this Titans team to underperform. Whereas Vrabel and Tomlin repeatedly seem to get lucky, Callahan as a coach will appear to be unlucky. The books continue to put up spread numbers on the Titans and Panthers that disregard this psychological intangible.
I've always felt there was something to special teams play that gave us a grasp on how well coached teams were. Not every time but more times than I can count and the only thing I could use was DVOA. Notice before last week's game the Titans had the worst special teams DVOA in the league. Feel like there's probably some hidden value still not accounted for on teams like them being overvalued because of this as people just don't take this into account
I watch every Lions game very closely and that last one I felt by the middle of the game was one of the oddest games I've ever watched in my life. Even Campbell said after the game it didn't really play well. There's something just off though about Tennessee. I think there's a ton of hidden numbers with them just like the Lions game with the special teams. That's the part that scares me as the market just doesn't take this into account in for the most part special teams is not consistent enough to be reliable indicator going forward unless you're as bad as they are then it probably does matter some
Good morning, Adam. I like the SERVICE to rebound strongly this week after a short term slide. The books are going to take a punishing this weekend! Time to double up on the units as I think 60+% is a reasonable number this week for RAS picks. 😉
