I had a nostalgia trip and booted up Need for Speed: Carbon. This is the canyon duel against Wolf on Deadfall Junction. Even after so many years I still remember the general line and braking points :D. A Canyon Duel is split into 2 stages:
-The 1st stage starts with you chasing your opponent down the canyon. You follow your opponent down the canyon to earn points, and you earn points faster the closer you follow.
-The 2nd stage follows the same principle but instead your leading, and the opponent chases you. As you are chased, the points you earned are lost. To win, you have to reach to the end of the canyon, before you lose all your points. If you lose all your points before you finish the run, you lose.
EA really missed an opportunity by not including this game mode or a form of it in the new NFS. It really should return in future games.
