The point is not that they remember the past, but because they do it for the sake of at least some attention, and this has been the case for more than a year. Nothing interesting to offer.
The story of the M3 so far: The M3 was built by Most Wanted Player, was stolen by Razor and ended up back in the hands of Most Wanted's Player. Most Wanted/Carbon Player goes back to finish some unresolved business, but now Cross catches you and the M3 gets destroyed by the lead pipes. After Carbon, Cross abbandoned it somewhere in Fortune Valley. Payback Player rebuilds the M3. In the meantime, Razor gets out of jail and ranks up in Blackridge's Blacklist. Possibly Payback Player sends the M3 to No Limits Player. No Limits Player beats Razor, gains #1 rank in Blackridge's Blacklist and Razor is arrested again. No Limits Player's M3 is somehow seized by Heat's police and ends up in the hands of Mercer. Heat Player damages the M3, Mercer wakes up dead and Torres lets Heat Player keep the M3, which is rebuilt back to proper functioning condition. Now, Unbound Player steals the M3 from Heat Player to deliver it to Razor who is fresh out of jail again. NFS MW 2012 is just a cameo. NFS 2015 is just a cameo too. Not the real M3, just a replica. It has no implication in the story, no lore, not even the right colors or wrap. Just a cheap copy. So far it was: built, stolen, gained back, destroyed, abbandoned, rebuilt, gifted, seized, obtained, stolen. It feels like they are kinda milking the M3, tbh. Although, i really want to see where they go with Razor and maybe even Ryan Cooper, since characters from Pro Street were a major plot point in Payback. And we know that Ryan Cooper got arrested during Undercover and, if i remember correctly, was out of jail during Payback, but wasn't racing anymore. Edit: After looking more into the games, Payback doesn't seem to have the real M3. It doesn't have the cage, neither the plastic windows. So it's just a regular M3 with a replica GTR kit. So... After Carbon... Uhhhh... The M3 is owned by somebody who most definitely can't be Cross, because why would Cross even gift the M3 to the No Limits Player.
This is a cool timeline. Although I don’t think it was ever specifically Mercedes car more it just happened to be there and he took it to escape. Maybe the most wanted protagonist was in nfs heat and wanted his car but Mercer took it. Or keeping up with the razor theory the prison in heat is called Fort Callahan. Maybe that’s a hint that razor was there and had the car sent there so he’d have it when he got out. But when it was destroyed he got out of the city and went to lakeshore where he ordered the M3 again
@@dreambigger3201 Oh yeah. Cross just takes the bounty money and dips. And at the end you get the Stacked Deck Le Mans R8 and that's Carbon Player's new car. NFS lore is just too far gone. Too many inconsistencies. Is it even implied that Darius sold the M3 to buy the 3 starter cars?
No way. So Razor and the other Blacklist members got released from jail? Also the M3 GTR got repaired after what happened to it at Carbon Canyon? Yes this could just be a well written Easter Egg but man this really makes me wish EA could finally do a proper sequel to Carbon. Need for Speed: Notorious or something like that.
Its pretty much canon by now that the original M3 GTR from Most Wanted got rebuilt, and at some point it ended up in Mercer's collection in NFS Heat. Then Heat protagonist steals it back from Mercer.
They could be either dropping references just for the sake of it or hinting at something. The M3 was rebuilt in Heat by some random entity, then confiscated by mercer, which was then acquired by the protag in Heat, then somehow lost it and now someone from the Blacklist owns it, either Razor or the Hero
One thing is for sure as far as the M3 GTR being rebuilt. While the car itself has been rebuilt nicely, the original engine definitely got totaled beyond repair as this car in both this game and Heat doesn’t sound anything like the OG engine in MW2005 and Carbon.
5:45 This implies that Razor was released from jail - possibly alongside the other Blacklist members as well. Or this means our past protagonist ("Hero") was at some point within all these years put in jail, then afterwards released. Although this is unlikely, since Hero uses Darius's Audi Les Mans Quatrro as the replacement for the BMW M3 GTR
@@yushagotnochill8842 "Hero" is Hero (or Thomas - on the Return to Rockport book from the MW/Carbon author), Ryan Cooper is a completely different character written for Prostreet
This car has a huge bounty across the US. From the streetracers, the blacklist, and the cops. Why is this such a valuable asset to the racers across the NFS universe? I get it, it's not just a sports car, but a race car with lots of horsepower and grip, and only a few of these have been made across the world.
@@hybridAbsol At least just put it on online or avaiable as a rare prize. Things just get more stupid everytime this car just put in together with the story
@@m.raihanammarfachrezixpplg7898 forget it.....since CARBON where it replaces the Supra Turbo for no reason, the M3 GTR becomes the mascot for the wrong reasons Dont wanna act like Razor but i have no choice on this 😡
@@hybridAbsol M3 GTR in Carbon was fine, since Carbon basically continues the story of Most Wanted. Idk what you mean about replaces Supra. Supra and M3 are literally on the different timeline. MW 2012 are the one who started this. Literally using the M3 GTR for DLC rather than the original content. Then M3 GTR just exist in like every single NFS (at least Rivals didn't)
@@m.raihanammarfachrezixpplg7898 im guessing you didnt know about the beta version of CARBON then, both the Supra and M3 are 2 completely different drivers The reason we got the damn M3 becuz the Supra looks dull af which is true
lack of downforce, thats all, it happens a lot at high speed with wrong car setup, here u cannot change handling setting so he had this issue, but overall great run, handling is great for arcade game :) better than heat / payback / 2015 for sure
From being taken away by cross in carbon, to being wrecked by Mercer in heat and now back as a mission. Talk about retconning your most iconic and beloved car in the nfs series
@@Shftrz well they said he just got out of jail so it has to be razor. Lol I don't think the main player from carbon\mw could get locked up he's too legendary lol
@@iVenture01 (This gonna be a bit long though) (This could be just a personal opinion so plz dont be serious about it) yea but his car first got wrecked in carbon (while Croc chasing him) Darius sold it? to Mercer in Heat and got s🅱️in by Player (Heat) and after that it's here It's also possible that there's 2 M3 GTRs? According to special event in No limits (doesn't count in other nfs cus it could be a replica) it could possibly that the player build it one and try giveaway to anyone and then it goes to Blackridge to looking for someone who's worth in it (also it is mentioned that he put a note says like are you worth enough for this? So it's kinda canon I guess) *Also Razor got released and appears in No limits and he became the 2nd Blacklist member of Blackridge city (in the special M3 GTR/M4 Razor event though)
I like how they've brought back the iconic vehicle in nfs. But it ruins the originality due to the extra racing seat in the passenger side. Hope there's an option to delete that extra seat. Edit: I heard that some missions have a passenger beside you most of the time which it makes sense in the singleplayer mission.
@@spiderboi_29 it's a full-pledged street illegal race car. it doesn't have a passenger seat and it only has barebones dashboard and no carpeting even. it wasn't meant for the streets, even in NFSMW2005.
@@spiderboi_29 nope, there isn't. This car was supposed to race in Le Mans. And guess what, the exhaust is go through the passenger seat, not under the car
I like it how the NFS theorists are now trying to solve the lore of the M3 again after this Easter egg and they're losing because everything that they've done is crumbling down like a tower made from a deck of cards
The problem bout the entire thing mainly comes down to the 1-year deadline between each nfs game (before 2015) that made the car hardly ever got the chance to be fleshed out as a bigger part of this franchise, so you see the car being theorized as made, built, crash, rebuilt, gifted, and even got sent back to the people before the released game it was in.
"some guy got released from jail and this car is the first thing they wanted once they got out." I hope this is them hinting at something big. A true most wanted sequel perhaps 👀👀
After carbon m3s story got weird. But with heat they gave m3 story another chance and now this. I feel like if they find the succes with the grip handling in this game we might get the M3 based story on the next nfs
It has to be razor, he was obsessed with that car… it got him to the top blacklist, the protagonist moved on from that car to more adventures and newer cars.
Wait how is it an '06 model? As far as I know all racing M3s that were designated as GTRs with the P60B40 V8 were built in 2001 And also MW came out in 05 lol Weird.. the car looks and sounds fantastic tho. Thank god they fixed the tail lights from heat
I think a new NFS game without so many hype makes the things better. I mean, tbe game looks great, with an amazing sound and funny than the 3 previous games. I hope NFS get back to that golden age
Most wanted GTR: “I asked you to what end dread it run from it destiny arrives all the same..” NFS Unbound: an attempt at copying some UI and mechanics in 2022 MW: “where did it bring you? Back to me..” Hops in 20 year old car and is content
Tho i will always love the M3, i don't think it should be around NFS story's anymore, it just doesn't feel like it. The story of this car on the franchise is wrecked after carbon. It's appearences on others nfs is just for fan-service or EA playing with the nostalgia. Yes, i know in heat the m3 has story for why it's there, but it just doesn't match, it felt kinda odd to me for why mercer had it in the first place. It would be a nice touch to only have it as a reward for completing certain challenges, secrets, or maybe completing the game at 100%, Like Carbon For example. That way i think the m3 would get the recognition it deserves. Just let it die in the main story and make it that the only way to be able to ride it again is by doing hard work, cause that's how you get what's supossed to be a legend car. Not by paying some DLC nor Deluxe Edition (looking at you 2012) * At least In My Opinion *
Well, they seem less often spawn in front of you compared to MW 2005. Then they're too easy (well, for Drowned) to outrun. The cooldown meter is also faster. But I guess it's a fair trade with the health bar
they should have made the car invincible from any form of damage (except cosmetic) because lets be honest, how many damn cruisers and SUV did we all wreck with that thing in a head on collision😂
Hey does anyone know how to get this car in story mode because it says online that after you do yaz's high heat mission "Blacklisted" you would've unlocked it but i done the mission and got nothing besides the money for les damage
