NHØP interview - "Why two bass players?" 

When Oscar Peterson appeared at the Montreux Jazz Festival in '77 he played with both Ray Brown and Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen. This performance was later released as the live album "Oscar Peterson and the Bassists -- Montreux '77" and the dvd "Norman Granz - Jazz In Montreux Presents: Oscar Peterson Trio '77".
In an interview held on June 17th 2004 in New York, Niels-Henning tells us the events which led up to this particular performance.
Aside from providing interesting information on what goes on behind the scenes in jazz history, it is also the only video footage of a NHØP interview that I know of.
