Thailand and Indonesia has shown it's possible, the difference is these two country actually invest in football development. Which Malaysia and I definitely doubt country like Singapore invest in. But it still sucks to be the loser though.
Singapore population aint that much, and their land is tiny. It is hard to develop local league there. Kinda ironic Indonesia problem is the opposite , their land is too big. Cost to run the league for clubs is expensive for travel home and away lol

At this rate, Singapore itself should stop football. Just compete at school/district level enough. Make it bold and clear that playing football in Singapore isn't going to make u earn like any other players in Europe. The fan base in sg isn't going to be as strong as back then.
