As a lifelong Penguins fan (and someone who's lived in Pittsburgh for a good period of it) I can honestly say this is definitely a series in the playoffs I won't forget, nor the whole playoffs in general. Both teams did exceptionally and happy the Pens pulled out a win.
Between '91, '92, '09, '16 and '17, this 2016 team was my absolute favorite. Just because they beat teams with PURE SPEED. It was like watching someone play NHL 94 on the Sega Genesis with line changes off, but in real life somehow with line changes
Thia was definitely his best playing ever. He used to drive me crazy with bad decisions, and dumb passes, and made up for it most of the time with his speed. But Coach Sullivan must have got him on the right page, because Letang had a magnificent playoff run.
Sidney Crosby's leadership and poise and they win Stanley Cup. Congratulations Pens. This is the most incredible feeling. Will not forget this moments.
I can only imagine how that must feel as DieHard lifelong resident of the great City of Buffalo New York and the pain and disappointment that comes with that being the Buffalo Bills in the Buffalo Sabres. I'm 42 years of age the thought of seeing our captain as of right now Kyle okposo of the Buffalo Sabres or Josh Allen the quarterback and captain of the Buffalo Bills lift the Lombardi trophy or the Stanley Cup being presented at center ice would make me cry like a baby like no one has ever cried before. Man I tell you Buffalo is a great City full of great people that would give you the shirt off their back we have sat through so much heartbreak so much disappointment the thought of us having a champion just gives me tears hopefully one day we will get to experience that feeling man you are so lucky that you have had to experience that with such a great player
87 is that kind of guy who deserves it all. A true leader who plays for his team instead for himself. Wish you have many more yrs in Steel town to bring the cup as a player and if not, lead a new era in bringing more cups behind the bench to pitts. From a Canadian lifelong Pens fans!! Watching this game over again- if the sharks had the depth and speed they have now, I think they would've had more fight in them. Pittsburgh was the better team because of how fast they were and how they simply cycled the puck and controlled. As a sharks fan, I'm excited for the 2018-2019 season!

I will never get over this my team the San Jose sharks finally make it to the Stanley cup finals and my big brothers team the Pittsburgh penguins wins the cup and whenever I bring it up he still smiles and smirks about it this was the ultimate salt In the wound the ultimate big brother victory over little brother and to this day I still hate it

This was a wonderful series. I was there for Game 4 at SAP and loved the atmosphere. To see the Sharks in the final was so awesome. I know they ended up being Runners Up, however keep in mind not many picked them to go that far let alone take a series to 6 games. They faced some tough teams in the first 3 rounds (Kings, Preds, Blues) and played very well. Here's to hoping they get back to the Finals and change the outcome next time.

This was a wonderful series. I was there for Game 4. Loved it. So nice to see Sid the Kid get his 2nd Cup. Brilliant. Congrats on a great season. This is exactly why I love hockey because when moments like this happen, it's pretty damn cool.

By the way, Sharks need to pay Johnson whatever he demands. Otherwise he'll be a hot commodity. I have never seen a goalie play so well in a losing cause. It was so weird to see such one sided but close games.

Penguins speed was so much faster than the Sharks in this series. It felt like San Jose was in retreat the whole time. Had it not been for one of the best runs of a Goaltender with Jones playing out of his mind this series would have been over a lot faster.
Had the Sharks defense not mess up in Game 1 and 2, the Sharks MIGHT have stolen THIS series from Pittsburgh. Penguins had more breaks than the Sharks and their speed helped them keep that lead intact. #UnfinishedBusiness2017
We understand that Sharks fans aren't used to being in a final, but it was the height of bad class to be booing Crosby. Next time act like you beling in the building, or at least graduated 5th grade.
I do not think they were booing Crosby. The boos rained down as soon as Bettman started talking. I thought they were booing him and while I was at home I started booing him too lol. I am a Pens fan.
