Steven Stamkos scored two goals while Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 34 of the 35 shots he faced as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Florida Panthers in a 5-1 victory to take a commanding 3-0 lead in their Stanley Cup Playoff series.
After this game Kucherov passed Ovi to become the 3rd highest scoring russian in NHL playoff history and 37th all time. Kinda crazy considering he's only 28
The crapitols suck and Ov will never get another cup. He spent his whole time playing on a bad team and now he'll be remembered as a guy who was great but only has 1 cup.
Кори Перри - лучшее приобретение Тампы в сезоне, не стареет ветеран. В прошлом году, во время рукопожатия, Василевский говорил ему: "если хочешь выиграть кубок, то переходи в нашу команду". Вот он и перешёл 💪.
Honestly, they ought to be considered the greatest dynasty in NHL history. If they can do it in the Salary Cap era with more teams in the league, more parity, it's an amazing feat.
@@jayjayson9613 When they can break the Islander's record of 19 straight playoff series wins then we can talk about them possibly being the greatest ever (currently the Lightning are only at 9). Tampa is great but two straight Stanley Cups aren't enough to even call them a 'dynasty' yet. Younger fans who didn't live during the Canadiens, Islanders and Oiler reigns of the 70s and 80s throw that word around way too easily. A few years ago there were fans online trying to call the Black Hawks a 'dynasty' just because they won three Stanley Cups over a six year period.
Such a shame that stamkos is not talked about like ovi crosby and mcdavid. Dude has had a career. Still has gas in the tank to. Great player one the best to play the game. From a Canucks fan
It's more upsetting that Kucherov isn't in the same category. The guy puts up points like nobody's business. If he played in 82 games this year, he would've led the league in points. I believe he has lead the league in points per game since he started playing too. The guy is a scoring machine and should be in the conversation with McDavid and Crosby. If it weren't for Hedman and Vasy, he would have two Conn Smythe trophies because he easily could've been given them
I’m getting a Vasy official hoodie absolutely love to watch my goalie and his style of play he is this century’s best goaltender if I’m right Tampa is nonetheless the best playoff team in the nhl and there’s no denying that I absolutely the contortionist he deserves another cup he is the best goaltender in the league let’s cheer him while we have him we as Tampa fans are very lucky to have him big love and tribute to him while he’s in the league he is the most entertaining goaltender he is so motivational and inspirational 🔥🔥🔥

@@marcosolo6491 lol calm down there keyboard warrior. The Russian players and Russian people don't deserve any hate or disrespect from the likes of you.
The highest scoring team this season has been held to one goal per game in this series. That’s not enough to beat the Lightning. Tomorrow nights game is in Tampa and that could be the end for the Panthers season.
@@hugebrain3330 Yeah, luckily florida isn't that great offensively either. When they were down 1:3, it was Tampa that played with urgency. With a scoreboard off, you would think that Tampa was chasing an equalizer. So bad.
@@yonelalbino492 Yes. I may be living in the past, but I remember 25 yrs ago the Rangers had a surprisingly deep run when they beat FLA and NJD thanks to Richter and Tikki and everyone else going above and beyond. Always an exciting time of year.

Бобровскому удачи, Большой Кот силён. Кучеров походу пятую передачу включил. Очень приятно смотреть за таким противостоянием. Очень классный хоккей показывают вратари, ещё раз подчеркну!
Tampa will win it all again. They’re unstoppable at this point. It’s their defensive system. They have a wall of players blocking every shot. If you do get a clean look, you have 88 stopping everything. Looks like no one can figure out how to break them down to take 4 off of them. It’s a dynasty.
@@mlamanna1 and where are the leafs now? Playoff hockey is only about one thing…winning. Doesn’t matter how it’s done. Having a team on the brink and eliminating a team from the playoffs are worlds apart.
This series tells you how good Toronto was. Florida barely looks like they can put up a fight, where as Toronto took them to the brink. I think the leafs make it past any other team in the first round. Edit: lmao turns out Toronto is a trigger word for a lot of people. Stand by my statement. Toronto played them to a point where they were uncomfortable and Vassy looked human. Like how people assume you’re a fan of a team just because you mention them.
@@STONE69_ Tampa was a finesse team in 2019, and got swept for their trouble. They’re now a team that can outplay anyone at any style, and it’s won them two Cups and counting
@@LighthawkTenchi watching them since 2019 what I’ve seen the most improve and become a staple reason we’ve won is our defense. Our offense works so well when our defense and most importantly vas is playing well. Like Christ look at the puck headman prevented from going in he just lifts his knee and prevents a goal scoring opportunity on vas’ blind spot and then this is vas’ 4th game in a row letting in 1 goal. And just think about it. If he played any better he would have shut out the same team 3 times and the leafs in game 7.
@@LighthawkTenchi Tampa plays a hard nosed game, very well defensively, best goalie, best defenseman in Hedman and the best play maker in Kuch who can play when the going gets tough, guys that can fight if need be. Yeh they have all the elements to win a Cup.

That's the problem with that trophy, it's treated and celebrated like a championship accomplishment so the players subconsciously feel their mission is over.
@@LighthawkTenchi still fresh in my memory. On the bright side, that served as a constant motivator for the Bolts, seeing its banner hanging there every home game reminding them of their worst playoff embarrassment. Quite telling that not even the nba, MLB, or NFL celebrates this kind of achievement.

It’s not that you gave them a hell of a run, it’s that Tampa is playing way better in this round than in the 1st round. They were lazy and sloppy in all their losses to Toronto. Had Tampa been playing this good in the first round, Toronto would have been swept.

@@jamesbuscarini Tampa in 2019 and in 2020 are no different. Actually Tampa was a better team in 2019, it was all mental. However the Panthers are clearly just an inferior team to the Lightning.
@@lzeb4730 they went out and got a bit more grit after 2019, but in general I agree that it is mental. Which is why they have been dominating. They have a winning system, and now have the attitude to execute it to a high degree.
Tampa just rolling right over the #1 seed. It's small consolation to Leaf Nation I suppose, but you just ran into a great team peaking at the right time , and came up just a little short. Tampa stomping on Florida should put the loss in perspective.
@WorkInProgress Very true. Losing to Columbus as the massive favorite was a real bitter pill, and they took the painful lessons to heart. I am kind of blow away that Tampa is 3-0 in this series without Brayden Point. Losing a key center with his playoff experience should have been a real setback for any team, but Tampa has not missed a beat. It appears that Florida is also going to have to absorb a tough lesson too about losing in the playoffs under the weight of very high expectations.
@@nathanpalmquist2031 that's actually not true, I thought that too but really it's a weird rumor that's propagated the hockey community. In fact, the pres. trophy winner has higher odds to win the cup than any other seed, historically speaking. The most recent team to do it was the 2012-13 Blackhawks
ig the hawks in 2013, wings in 2008 and 2002, avalanche in 2001, stars in 1999, rangers in 1994, flames in 1989, and the oilers in 1987 all did not win the presidents trophy and stanley cup in the same year…
It doesn't matter who wins, Rangers or Canes. Their season will end when they play Tampa. Would love to see Tampa and Oilers for the Cup. But that is not very likely. Best Cup finals will be Avs or Blues (probably go 7 games) versus Tampa.

Yes they did and thank the refs for the Tampa victory. 5 on 3 in Game 6. Tavares' goal called back when the Tampa player equally ran into Justin Holl and had no bearing on the goal really. Had Holl not collided with the Tampa player John would still have scored. Meanwhile Tampa had 3 infractions on Toronto and none of them were called. Game 6 should have ended 3-2 and the Lightening out in 6 games.
@@lzeb4730 Let me be clear about my point. Periods 1 and 2 were well officiated in Game 6. No complaints here. Midway through the third Leafs are leading 3-2 and seem to be cruising to a series win in 6 games. Late in In Game 6 Nylander was tripped,. Not called. A Tampa player hung onto Matthews sweater for over 5 seconds and kept him out of the play which is interference, NOT called. There was also a penalty on Bunting, NOT called. So there are 3 penalties that should have been called on Tampa that were not called. But they call 2 penalties on the Leafs which were penalties yes - but were soft calls and had been let go all game. What's worse they call them within 15 seconds giving Tampa a 5 on 3 for 1:45; a guarantee that they will tie the game. You say thats Toronto's fault. I say that is garbage biased officiating.
The great confrontation of two best goalkeepers. But for panthers there is one "small" problem - unstoppable trio "kucherov stamkos perry". Hope this series last 7 games. GL Florida!
Florida simply isn’t ready. Sometimes you have to learn to win the hard way and Tampa is taking the Panthers to school. Plus Brunette is out of his depth.

This is what separates the coaches from the assistants. Joel Quenneville made this team what it is, but that will only go so far when the reins are given to someone who lacks the experience to keep the team on the road.
Unfortunately Joel was involved in “that” incident that was brought to light a few months back, so firing him was the right move to make in good conscience, and because the players would probably not be able to look at him in the same light again. With that said he is still a great coach, and Florida could use a guy like him.
@@a17yearoldonyoutubeluigi he wasnt involved thats the catch and team must have brains to keep the coach that built a powerhouse despite what some idiots say
Brunette isn't playoff-ready. The Panthers did well in regular season thanks to the foundation laid by Quinneville, but it can only carry the team so far in the playoffs where you need to adjust your playbook accordingly. His only play is chewing gum with his head bowed down.
