I cannot express how epic this game was. The third period was really the climax of the game. From being at the brink of defeat in the second period, to making a huge triumphant return at the third period. A three-goal comeback, a hat trick, an impressive five minute penalty kill, and a overtime victory. Canucks finally got their vengeance against the Jackets, and they done it brutally satisfying. I couldn't be anymore ecstatic as a Canucks fan watching the game.

Asa Jacket fan, 2nd period was great. Some of these Canuck goals bounced the right away for them. We are getting close though and our season series with Vancouver was an even split.

Nope, this game was sad. Canucks handed this very very bad team a lead. A very bad team let Canucks comeback and win in OT. Also a lucky win as the OT goal was lucky.

That 5 minute penalty kill by the Canucks will be remembered for a long time as it highlighted how different this year's hardworking version of the Canucks is markedly different from last year.

As soon as Vancouver got that penalty, u can see shift coming for the players...angry, focused and determination to win that game. Even during the kill Canucks players were aggressive even throwing hits like Petey did.

Reminds me of the time Canucks were heavily trailing against CBJ on Dec 14, 2021. Down three nothing and they won four to three. This comeback is sweeter now that Boeser has reached the 30 goal mark!

Been a Canucks fan since my youth during the West Coast Express era. I never thought there would ever be a Canucks team better than the 2011 President's trophy team.... This team is built different. I know it's just a reg season game and the playoffs haven't started but the foundation is there. Incredible.

They're not in my opinion. Several reasons. They haven't proved it yet. The league isn't as good as back then. And they still don't have quite the depth that team had. Sedin, Kes, and Manny were depth down the middle this team doesn't have and the D were deeper and better overall. Sure, no Hughes. That's true. But this team does not have a Hamhuis, who was a defensive artist in every way Hughes is on O. We'll see though. If they eclipse 117 points and go on a deep run, I'll rethink my opinion.

@@doublestrokerollYep. I don’t see how anyone could think they’re as good as the 2011 team. By eye test and possession metrics the Canucks were top three offensively and defensively. No one saw them play and thought “wow, how long can they keep this up!” No, they were the class of the league and everyone knew it. This year we have a team with an elite core that finally has supporting pieces punching above their weight. Add to that some good fortune and you have fantastic results. But what you have is a really good team, not one of the best teams of the era, as were the 2011 Canucks. I am utterly convinced they were defeated by injuries rather than a particular team.

If you thought the Canucks got hosed by the refs last game against the Blues in overtime, tonight's game was worse!! That 5 min Major & game misconduct call against Myers is ridiculous...It was a 2 min minor for elbowing, but no way that's a 5 min Major... The craziest part was the original penalty call was against Cole for the hit that he delivered...The Refs review the penalty & then change the call altogether & hand out a completely different penalty to a different player on the ice... Which isn't even an option under the current NHL rules!! Some of these Refs might want to cut down on alcohol consumption before puck drop...On a different note, the funniest part about this game was watching goaltender Elvis Merzlikins cry to the Refs that the Overtime goal was kicked into the net with a kicking motion, when the replay showed clearly there was no kicking motion...

How did the call hose us? We didn't go into the overtime short handed, we won the game without Myers anyway. You may consider it a garbage call, but it didn't cost us anything. Well, maybe Myers, but small price to pay.

They realized the error on Cole's interference call. The puck was there so Cole's hit was legal. They reversed that call, which was a good thing. Otherwise, we would be defending a full 2 minutes of 5-on-3 as well as Myers major.. which I agree should not have been a major penalty. We killed it off so it doesn't matter in the end.

Hey sportsnet is there something wrong with showing the actual penalized play that got Myers tossed from the game? Or are you under strict orders from the league to make sure that stuff stays under wraps, especially when the officials made such a mess of it by calling a penalty on the wrong guy? It’s important to the game, it’s part of the game, and it should be shown.

I think a few of yall misunderstand, Cole is just the better defensive player, that’s why we picked him up. He gives the Nucks the better chance on PK, and is on the 1st PK while Myers is on 2nd. But sure I’m the idiot.

These refs really need to go back to the minors. That was in no way a 5 minute major on Myers. Accidental elbow and they give him a game misconduct. Not to mention you can't change a penalty. The penalty was originally on Cole. You can't review missed penalties.

And yes , when I slump, he's completely different player that tends to fall down all the time with his awkward way of skating. Miller makes mistakes too but seems to drive any line and anybody who's put on his line. Pettersson not so much unless he's with miller or on power play. I also don't like mikheyev and think he shouldn't be anywhere near two top lines. Wish we can somehow swap him for 2c with minimal sweetener but easier said than done. Maybe I am wrong

Ванкувер с победой! Молодцы собрались в третьем периоде, НО Косатки вам слегка повезло - играли пять на четыре. Почему так расслаблено оборонялись во втором периоде и пропустили ЧЕТЫРЕ шайбы? Зачем так долго передерживать шайбу и не отдавать её партнеру. Петерсон компенсировал свою ошибку в средней зоне красивым забитым голом в игре и рикошетом в овертайме. Болею за Вас и очень хочется видеть более уверенные победы!!!
