You see that setup a ton in youth hockey where there's more space to shoot between players. Pretty common, cool to see it in the NHL though.

@@jjevans1693 They played a great game Suzuki was great, Slaf was great, The whole team showed up tonight and played well it was a very competitive game… Panthers are way better than Montreal at this point in time and the Habs are rebuilding… Soooo Yeah. Proud that they played a great game as they did. They always compete hard it rare they look defeated and that’s a good sign for a team in a rebuild something Ottawa, Buffalo and Arizona never showed they always looked defeated and that’s why they can’t win because losing and not competing hard has been the main factor for their teams… not the case with Montreal.

@@TrueMr.Quinn1 Yeah fans from all Canadian teams are like that, But they should not be like that… For me i do not label players busts until they really prove they are not the player they were touted to be… When Kotkaniemi was with the habs I was saying he does have potential and if he’s handled properly he could be a decent Second Line C and I was patient, But once I saw the Habs ruining his development and forcing him into the NHL to quick when it was CLEAR he needed time outside of the NHL to develop I started having doubts but never labeled him a bust… It was this season! When I finally said Jesperi Kotkaniemi is a bust I do not believe he will reach the potential he had…. Cole Caufield is still young lol HE JUST TURNED 23, He’s put up great numbers in the NHL so far in his career and is on pace for 64 points 26 goals this season, Sure the goals are not what Habs fans expected BUT they fail to see HOW AMAZING he’s becoming in other areas of the game, Defensively, Passing is massively improved and with these improvements he’s going to be a MUCH better player when he’s 25-26 years old and has experience… Same with Suzuki his goal scoring has improved he’s shooting more, He’s improved leaps and bounds defensively his positioning has improved…. he’s getting better as time goes on and he gains more experience… Tage Thompson is another player that took a long time to develop and reach his potential I always said Tage was gonna be an NHL player I just didn’t think he was gonna be as great as he’s been but every fan thought Thompson was a bust and would never play in the NHL, In his draft year he had all the tools to make it to the NHL he just needed the right development and Buffalo did a great job with him…. Fans in general need to start being more patient when it comes to younger players especially when these players are not Generational players, it takes time… Not every player is a Mcdavid or a Bedard or a Matthews where they figure it out right away… Lots of players hit their best years when they are 25-26 all the way until 34-35 years old, Suzuki was a great player at 21, 22, 23 years old but now he’s better and is continuing to get better…

Finally a post from someone that understands hockey and has intelligence. Thank for your great insight who knows maybe someone might learn something from this but I doubt it

@@TrueMr.Quinn1 Even Nathan MacKinnon wasn’t the player he was touted to be for the first 4 years of his career he was still good he put up good numbers but not even close to the player he was touted to be, and Colorado was terrible so that’s understandable and he eventually reached that potential when the team got better… Suzuki is the same thing he’s on pace for 81 points on a team that’s a bottom 7 team lol… how much points will Suzuki get when Caufield is scoring 30-40 goals, Juraj Slafkovsky is scoring 25-30 goals… How good will Suzuki be when he actually has a Solid Second line behind him lol what Suzuki is doing with no second line to support him is something special… Teams have to shut down the Habs first line and there really isn’t much to worry about and he’s still productive and producing…
