@@thegulch1780 Well put - 2011 stung. Though its interest Vancouver doesn't really act like they have any rivals. That sounds big headed but there isn't really a team that they meet where the game gets out of control physical or chippy. Like I can't think of one, compared to a lot of rivalries in the league.

I was present at Game 3 Canucks vs Bruins Stanley Cup finals 2011 [in case you forgot the year] Canucks 1 - Bruins 8 ouch.

They got Back to back 10:00 games this weekend when they Visit the Red wings and Capitals. Thats going to be Rough.

It started with Demko's bad pas.

That was a good pass - lazy defense. Went right past your guy. Hughes watched it fly right past him. He was facing the puck, his stick was in the right direction, he watched Demko pass it and let it go by him. He may have thought it was a pass for another player up ice? Look at the replay. I saw the look on Demko's face after that goal - he was pissed. 😡 He had a right to be. Doubt that's going to happen again in a couple of weeks when we come out to your house. Guessing they had a bad flight - that wasn't Vancouver. Especially phoning it in third period. And that pass wasn't on your goalie. The boards are the 6th player, always on ice. Hughes missed it Oh don't worry, we're not taking the next game l lightly. We're on the West Coast road trip. It's going to be a playoff level game. 😃 I'll likely get blacked out here in the 49th, but I'll be listening! See you then! 🐻🏆

@@thegulch1780 Not quite. Demko was a bit casual and slow. Under prrressure he then passed to almost covered player, who then let the pass go, instead of getting bogged down in his own defense. You call it a mistake, maybe, but it originated with Demko.

@jiritichy7967 we're going to have to agree to disagree. I'm talking about your special teams here - this isn't 5 on 5 play. That's the caveat That was a lazy lazy play - poor communication, no hockey vision. Hughes was the only Defense on ice at the time. 4 forwards and 1 defense was the special team During their power play. There were more Canucks on ice than bears. Hughes knew coyle and marchand were buzzing around his d zone. When marchand skated at him, then right back to the front of the net, that should have told Hughes to pick up the pass. I just watched the play again. Hughes should have grabbed the pass, coyle would have collapsed in on him and it would have gone up the boards. As soon as Hughes saw Marchand skate right out of his area to the front of the net, that's when he needed to grab the pass. That's the hockey vision that would have stopped the goal. This is a top team. Demko should be able to rely on them. I would have coached my d-man to pick up that pass, let coyle collapse in on him and then get it up the boards. This was a power play for the Canucks. They had an extra body on the ice. And when that support finally came down, it left Brad marchand alone in front of their net? But if you want to see it your way, I will agree that it was demko's mistake depending on his special teams to play NHL level hockey I'm not putting this on Demko, even if I am biased as a goalie coach. 😏 5 on 5? You'd likely be correct. We're talking about special teams. And this isnt Vancouver they obviously just got their boosters, had a bad shrimp or a bad flight. Payback's going to be a bee-itch in a couple of weeks when bears go to Vancouver. I have massive respect for this team. We're not going to see them playing like this again this season.

Nah. The worst game of the year for your nucks was against my Leafs when they steam rolled Demko for 5 goals on 22 shots, for a .773 save percentage. Nice try though.

I think 2012 was your best chance. The Western conference was weak that year and you would have faced a mediocre New Jersey team in the Final - a far inferior opponent to the '11 Bruins. The Kings were a good team, but certainly not a great team, and yet they only lost three games on their way to the Cup. The Cup was there for the taking.

Bruins were def on the good side of the bounces but overall they played one of their best games of the year. I was more impressed with the Bs holding Vancouver to just 17 shots on goal.

Sportsnet highlights are really lousy this year. I think they did a woke hiring instead of a professional who likes and understands the game. They don't show hits or reasons for penalties, rarely a fight. Go to other sites for the good stuff.

For Bruins that will be third game of a western road swing. A back to back with Edmonton and Calgary then on to Vancouver Saturday. NHL February classic three road games in the four nights. Ironically Bruins play Calgary again before playing Vancouver. Bruins possibly could be winded, but that’s no excuse once the puck drops in Vancouver. After Vancouver on to Seattle to complete road trip. Going back to Boston on February 29 we got the Vegas Golden Knights coming in to TDGARDEN. Altogether five tough matchups to close out February. Ten possible points up for grabs. Go Bruins!

Ullmark and Swayman have been rotating all season except for several games when Ullmark was injured. Why would you think Swayman was injured?

@@rogerarchibald2627 Swayman was pulled last game against the Flames, and took at least two pucks to the face. Ullmark replaced him and was the starter for this game, but I couldn't find any mention on Bruins' social media as to why Swayman was removed.
