Киперы у Нью-Джерси, конечно, совсем не блещут. Я еще 2 года назад говорил, что офис Нью-Джерси совершает стратегическую ошибку, выдавая гигантские контракты минусовому Хэмилтону и переоцененному Майеру. В прошлом плей-офф слабость Хэмилтона как защитника вылезла наружу, когда он стал самым минусовым игроком у "дьяволов", привезя несколько решающих голов на свои ворота. Майер в том плей-офф был еще заметен, но в этом сезоне он явно не играет на свой самый большой в команде контракт, одно время его даже в 4-е звено опускали - это и есть показатель того, что тренерский штаб видел откровенно слабую игру игрока, который по идее должен делать результат и приносить очки. В этот дэдлайн и летом будут доступны для обмена и подписания Э.Линдхольм, В.Тарасенко, Дж.Генцел. Даже Элиас Петтерссон может стать доступным для обмена, в зависимости от того как он договорится или не договорится с Ванкувером по новому контракту. В оборону можно вести переговоры с Н.Хэнифином, Дж.Чикраном, К.Таневым, Дж.Эдмунсоном. А из хороших голкиперов можно договориться по Гибсону из Анахайма, Саросу из Нэшвилла. Тот же Кочетков ничуть не хуже вратарей Нью-Джерси и может прогрессировать. Т.е. есть варианты для усиления состава, но забив дорогими контрактами на максимально длинный срок "дьяволы" сами резко ограничили свои возможности по усилению состава и не могут пока даже пробиться в зону плей-офф. Не удивлюсь, если через год мы услышим, что Нью0Джерси ищет варианты обмена Хэмилтона или Майера, а может даже обоих. Но кто из вменяемых менеджеров других команд захочет брать их тяжелые контракты?

I’m not sold on Daws until he stops playing like he’s special needs taking too damn long to cover his net on wrap arounds! I knew it was going to cost us a goal eventually! Again, lack of effort! We need to make a move for a new goalie asap! These bums won’t help us get out of the first round!
