Nico Hischier continued his hot streak with a pair of goals and Jesper Bratt added a goal and an assist as the New Jersey Devils won their third game in a row defeating the Calgary Flames 4-2.
Winners of 6 of their last 7. 3-0 so far on the road trip have a chance to sweep it tomorrow in Edmonton. Goaltending has been solid the past two games Devils starting to turn it around and it may be just in time 😈 GO DEVILS
Don’t worry, he’ll go right back to being inconsistent after that goal! Dude should’ve/could’ve been a 40 goal scorer playing with Hughes and Hischier smh what a 🤡 Meier and Toffoli, huge upgrades and much better players than that bust Sharan whatever his name is 😂
Hischier not getting top-star of the game is criminal. He was digging in the boards all night, created three goals, and buried a 200-footer for style points. Nice gritty W.
You boys in Canada got the wrong Florida Panther lol! I don’t care how many points he had for that team, Barkov made Huberdeau look good! I mean, they made it to a Stanley Cup Final after they got rid of him! That should speak volumes!!! LGD(let’s go devils)!
Flames should trade Huberdeau $10.5M to the Sharks for Granlund $5M, Vlasic $7M. Flames may have to retain money, or add in draft picks to get rid of that contract.
V² had a great career record against CGY and they were saving Akira for the Oilers. They're gonna need him sharp tomorrow if they have any shot against them when it's NJ's 3rd in 4 nights on the road - and the Oilers are red hot.
Vaněček is struggling, all is not lost yet, he had a decent game for once and all you do is throwing him under the bus. He was great at the start of the season and he was great last season, he carried many games for you, than failed in playoffs. And you look only at the bad things from him and forget the good ones. What a fanbase Devils have... it reminds me of Blackwood, he really never caried you, he had good games occasionally but overall, he was struggling and was given hell from Devils fan base. Now he plays great for San Jose. Devils have had problems with goalies for some time and I am starting to think that it's the org problem rather than player problem.
@@bukelos2804 you're entitled to that opinion. However, I do take exception when you're essentially calling a fanbase terrible. Vitek didn't have a great playoff as a Capital, and he didn't have a great 1st playoff as a Devil... So we're skeptical of him performing when it counts. He had a tremendous regular season last yr, his first as a starter, and that's not nothing. First to win 30 gms since Marty. But much of the base has been waiting literally over a decade to make a conference final, and grew up watching one of the greatest of all time. With all the young talent and potential now on the roster, coupled with the long wait, we may be very impatient as a whole when it comes to Vitek - that's true - but I wouldn't say we're terrible for feeling that way when given context.
Great win boys! Holtz and McLeod looking excellent so far! This team is deep! We need Hamilton back though, this guy wins us at least 20 games a year with his offensive dominance! I hope Nemec can shine in his absence tho
And Blake Coleman of all people smh! He never did any of that bonehead stuff in New Jersey! Guess there’s bad JuJu within the Flames 🔥 organization especially with Huberdeau who basically helped us win and the Flames lose smh lol what is this guy thinking 🤔
The devils had seasons where they'd lose a lot of games because of fluke goals and also constantly hitting the post. Enjoy the fact the lucks finally going the devils way..
@@JB0i Relax...it's just a saying. But there's truth to it. When you're good, lucky bounces tend to go your way because skill creates those lucky bounces in the first place.
Nico Hischier and the New Jersey Devils win over Mikael Backlund and the Calgary Flames in their epic rivals 🏒🔴⚫⚪😈 New Jersey Devils went up to 14-10-1, while the Calgary Flames dropped to 11-13-3
true, i swear Jerome Iginla is what kept this team still in Calgary!! Him and the loyal Flames 🔥 fans! They better be careful cause bigger cities are lurking and wanting a new team!!
Devils are going to get roasted, charcoaled, and skewered in Edmonton. Playing at night, then early afternoon back to back, Edmonton on a 6 game heater? Lol Only wish Calgary put more of an effort into burning Jersey out, but it was an easy win for Jersey. $10.5M and missed a wide open net from 5 feet away? Lol WTF is wrong with that guy? Calgary is the last team in the NHL Huberdeau should be playing for. He's hated being in Calgary the minute he stepped off the plane from Florida. Huberdeau and Calgary are probably the worst chemistry between player and team in the history of the NHL. Calgary, do yourself a huge favor....3 magical words... RETAIN $ AND TRADE. In fact I can top that. Two magical words...BUY OUT. Which is probably what Huberdeau is hoping for.
You were right about everything except my team getting roasted by the Oilers! I mean we both lost to San Jose this year smfh but we’re going to flex our muscles 💪🏽 again Edmonton! Could be a Stanley Cup Final preview! We’re going to miss not having Doug Hamilton out with an injury but Nemec is a pretty good looking rookie and top prospect finally getting his time to shine and he’s shining bright like a diamond 💎 Devils win by at least 3
usually I am a troll when we win but can a flames fan explain the "howl" after a goal. Is there a local tradition that I do not know of? I guess I dont understand the history of your teams name. Always thought it was local industry related
It's for Dustin Wolf. In the AHL, every time he made a big save they would play a wolf howl sound. They are doing the same thing in the NHL too now for him. The Flames name originates from the Atlanta Flames who relocated to Calgary.
@@therockieshockeypodcastspeaking of Atlanta, they’re going to bring back another team there i heard!! The NHL has 2 teams here in Florida so it only would make sense to have 1 in Georgia
