he didn't do anything amazing in this game at all. in fact his 'stop' of the Kane breakaway was bc Kane did a move predicated on the goalie being fast to a spot in movement so he can go 5 hole - Bobrovsky was slow to the spot (ie bad), and that's why it didn't get thru the 5 hole. the other two Kane chances were one off his mask, and one where Raymond couldn't handle the pass at the net.
@@grayhudson1095 lol you in your feelings hard . He shut down Kane twice my guy. I've never heard someone say "a Vezina Trophy winning goalie accidentally blocked a breakaway" what are you on man? It's a shut out. Nothing went in. Against Kane, Larkin, Debrincat, Fabbri, and Perron.
@@paulgarcia9181 No, he had one shot by Kane hit him in the mask, and the other his slowness in getting to the spot is all that kept the 5 hole goal from being scored. And congrats on his Vezinas, but Kane has owned Bobrovsky for like 15 years.
Panthers can play any style hockey the other teams want and beats them at their own game, hard physical game, you got it, you want a fast technical game, they've got that covered too. we're witnessing a great team.
@@TROYBALLER they got this year and next year before the roster gets a bit jumbled. It depends on Reinhart and if he's going to ask for a 10 million contract. I would hope he stays and is cool with an 8 mil extension. And since the cap is projected to go up it should be alright. What will Lundell ask for? Idk. He's an amazing young talent. Then they have to figure out what to do with Stendlund, Lomberghini, Montour, OEL, Forsling, and Kulikov at the end of this year which is probably why they're looking into Hanifin by the deadline. That young one Samskovitch (might be misspelled) is definitely coming up next year.
Tampa won’t pass us 😂keep Dreaming and hoping for us to lose ,because Detroit has been one of the top best 3 teams since January 1st Tampa hasn’t google it if you don’t believe me.
@@cameronfranke8566 They will likely not pass Detroit, but the key is to pass Islanders, Capitals, Penguins and other teams below the 8th place to secure the wild card spot
@@Andrey_K70 нет, тогда когда был другой хоккей может быть он и был один из лучших, не факт что он был бы в современном хоккее такой же, с его техникой он бы не успевал особенно на добивание, сейчас игроки намного техничнее
I really like Detroit, they've had games were they look like a playoff team, this wasn't one of them, couple of chances were they could've scored early and changed the flow of the game but Florida is a powerhouse, they can adapt to play physical or with touch, they are big, fast hockey team with a stonewall for a goalie, their my pick for Stanley cup and I'm from Boston, go B's.
Well if they call that 'too many men' on Florida, the Montour goal probably doesn't happen 1 minute later. Who knows what could have happened. Props to Bob though, great game.
Redwings fan here. Forget the playoffs. Power play after power play could not score. They could have scored but overrated Rasmussen knocked off the net. The whole team can’t take a simple pass Raymond especially. They have a hard time cycling the puck. Offense and defense are mediocre so as the goaltending. Shots are constantly being blocked. This team can’t handle a good defensive team like the Islanders and Panthers. This team is a joke..
I didn’t see the game but from the highlights it sure looked like no body did any hitting on either team. Is it just that afternoon games tend to be less physical?
And those dead wings are still making the playoffs you sound like a sens fan or a redwings rivalry team fan, cause they aren’t the dead wings anymore HOCKEY TOWN IS BACK .Redwings and panthers are both top 3 best teams since January first google it if you don’t believe me.
Refs should have worn Panther jerseys. The no-call on the 6-men on the ice about 9 minutes into the 2nd period was tell-tale. Bettman wants a Cup in Miami Florida.
@@Birdman957 Bettman puts Cups in expansion towns to increase fan interest and $$$$$$$$$ of which he gets a cut. He's been doing this for years. Do you hear Bettman talk? He's all about the payoff.
@@Andrey_K70 He loved Vegas until he got 'em that Cup; now he wants a Cup in Florida. 7 teams in Canada and no Cups there for 30 years; the probability of this happening with no bias is about 1 in 1600! Why? Because hockey is already popular there. For expansion franchises like Florida, a Cup there greatly increases fan support and revenues of which Bettman gets a cut. A Cup in an expansion town has a larger net increase in revenue than a Cup in an established market. Referees are 'game managers'.
It won't be long now until we see who has what it takes & who doesn't. I'm backing my Wings all the way! And if Florida were held to the same standard as all the other teams, I mean actually getting called for all the penalties they commit, they wouldn't be where they are. Not just this game, not just against the Wings, against everybody they play. I've never seen another team in the last 25 years get away with so much crap.
The refs were letting them play all game. I counted at least as many missed calls on the Wings as I did on the Panthers. Florida is just better, but take heart, the Red Wings have taken a giant step this year and the future looks bright.
@@angeyturpin9037 Detroit started it several times. Florida is a team that isn't going to take it. They're the second most penalized team in the league because they just don't care if they get caught retaliating. If they get crosschecked in the back, which Detroit players did on more than one occasion, Florida will face the guy up and push back. They aren't wimps, like Toronto for instance.
Red wings should trade kane. They have lost several games against teams they had beaten previously without him. So boston 2-1 without kane, 0-1 with. Islanders 1-0 without kane, 0-1 with. Minnesota 1-0 without kane, 0-1 with. Florida 1-1 without kane, 0-1 with. New jersey devils 1-1 without kane, 0-1 with. Ottawa 1-0-2 without kane, 0-1 with. Chicago win 4-1 in regulation against a healthier better team without kane, win 3-2 in overtime against a injury riddled mess with kane. Sorry but the records show with kane we lose more against teams we beat without his ass.
You are so dumb,he is not the reason why they lost more games.back in December they had so many injuries and it ruined there chemistry and rhythm they had going early in the season.you’ll never understand cause you’re wrong.
@@cameronfranke8566 don’t mind people like him, just think he knows everything about hockey when most likely he just started getting into it a year or two ago
@@leviklynstra8975 except it's true. Their shots allowed per game with kane is 5 higher than it is without him. Their goals allowed per game with kane is also significantly worse. They only score about .025 more goals per game with him than without while allowing about .75 more goals per game with with him than without.
LETS GO HOME BABYYYYYY 🔥 the Panthers needed to show Detroit getting Kane isn't going to be enough. Although Kane is my favorite American born player, he had to receive that work. 88% PK on the road, first in the league? Nasty work. Reinhart got that monkey off his back and he's moving now. Rodrigues with that right hand shot on his right wing and clapped it top right. Nasty work. Bob shutting Kane down? Nasty work. The double headlock and OEL punching Debrincat in the nuts? Nasty work.
Bob didn't shut Kane down. Kane did a move that was based on the goalie being quick to a spot to defend a different move, then Kane goes 5 hole. Bob was slow to the spot and that's why he accidentally stopped the breakaway.
@@grayhudson1095😂 i guess it really hurts when you are quick smart and supercool but still cant score against slow and aint that cool goalie. twice on a breakaway 😅
Rough one for my Red Wings. You either have to drop the gloves and try and fire the team up or stop playing into Florida’s style. Florida wants to play head games, play a scrappy game and they did just that. Wings should have ignored it, maybe would’ve walked away with some more PP chances. Bobrovsky was great.
They did the same in last year's playoffs when they came back in the first round from Boston, pummeled first the Leafs, then the 'Canes, and only lost to the more-goonish Golden Knights because they were riddled with injuries. Matthew Tkachuk was so badly hurt before the last game, his brother Brady had to put his equipment on him.
@@szahmad2416Ekblad played with a broken foot since the Boston series, a torn oblique, and dislocated his shoulder twice. Tkachuk played on a broken sternum to end up scoring the tying goal to send it to OT. Montour, Reinhart, Bennett, and Duclair were all nursing injuries. Maurice said 4 broken bones in total, a few fractures, a few shoulder injuries that needed surgery in the off season, vs a healthy VGK squad who were getting a lot of calls which caused Tkachuk to get emotional and ejected the first two games with more than 5 minutes left . But with all of that said, it was the best playoff run to the finals I've ever seen. Panthers needed to win out to clinch on game 81 while needing the Penguins and Islanders to lose. As the 8th seed to go against the 1st seed record breaking President Trophy winning Boston Bruins who were about 40 points ahead of the Panthers in differential. The Panthers go down 3-1 to Boston and would need to win the next 3 games with game 5 and game 7 in Boston. They forced a game 7 and were down 3-2 with about 2 minutes left when Maurice decided to pull Bob and the Panthers tie it and win in OT. Not only did they make history by coming back from a 3-1 deficit but they're the only team in NHL history to beat the best recorded President Trophy team as an 8th seed. Then they made history again with the Leafs since it was the first meeting of the Panthers vs Leafs and the Leafs making history getting to the second round in over 20 or 30 years. 4-1'd the Leafs. Then made history in the ECF with the Hurricanes going for the 6th longest playoff game in NHL history while being the only team in the whole post season to be undefeated in OT and the only team to have a clean 4-0 sweep. They went 8-1 and undefeated in OT all the way up to VGK. It was such a wonderful experience. The way the calls were going, Tkachuk ejected the first two games, then getting injured, the betting odds riddled the playoffs, and Bettman's new honey hole needed to win. VGK winning the cup has changed the NHL into FanDuel and DraftKing shoving gambling down everyone's throat. Now we see the over/under odds and the refs making bad calls or no calls at all.
BOBROVSKY!!! HE'S THE BEST GOALIE!!! Damn he's good and fun to watch making big saves every night! He's on fire!!! Gg BOB great game big saves!! Go Panthers!!!
Honestly, what's up with fans throwing stuff onto the ice? I'm a Wings fan and understand the octopus toss. But whenever a home team seems to be losing, certain fans think it's okay to throw stuff onto the ice. Last time I checked it won't change the outcome of the game. I understand you are upset that your team is losing or at the end of a for sure loss you feel pissed. But really, respect goes a long way!!!
If you’re referring to what’s being thrown on the ice at the end of the game, those would be the Panthers throwing plastic rats. That’s a Florida tradition since Scott Melanby killed the rat in the locker room
I remember when a Detroit was playing in Florida and a fan had a octopus under his ball cap and ran down the to ice and threw it on the ice when the players were skating durning the game…..that was not cool. The guy was escorted out by police……
Kane's just not the same player he used to be. He totally telegraphed the move he would make on that breakaway. Might've been "Bobs" easiest save of the night...
Brandon Montour and the Florida Panthers win over Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings 4-0 in their Atlantic Division matchup 🏒🔴🔵🟡🌴 Florida Panthers improve to 41-16-4, while the Detroit Red Wings dropped to 33-22-6
Reinhardt scores the same goal every game. Quick shot from the slot. Montour is the most underrated D-man in the league. I got to see him play in Brantford when he was 16 yrs old. I wish the Leafs drafted him, he played in their backyard as a kid.
Take a look at old man Kane in this game. Old guy was the only highlight for Detroit. The kids on Detroit had better start taking notes about how it's done. NO ONE reasonbly expects Detroit to win this game against one of the best overall teams in the league, but Kane made Florida look silly half a dozen times.
2 things wrong with this game. 1. One of the worst shows of officiating I think I've ever seen. SOMEHOW the red wings end up shorthanded after almost every single scrum started by the panthers, i.e. Ben Chariot UNDERSTANDABLY upset after being cross checked and yapped at by Bitchuk post goal, defends himself and the Red wings get the extra pen. (Fabbri ejected for what exactly?????) The panthers hugging the linesman after the game shows enough. 3. Tkachuk wants to act tough until someone comes after him, then he turtles until his favorite 3rd man in shaft riding loser Bennett comes in and bails him out like always, just like the perfect shortbus buttbuddy that he is, AND DOESNT GET AN EXTRA PENALTY FOR IT. the 1 thing that went right was wally dumping Tkachuk on his head. just a shame there wasn't an injury from that.
@@pandahfi nah bud, sorry not sorry, but the Red Wings and their fans can not blame reffing on this one. They got away with pushing and shoving after dead plays over and over those first two periods while Panthers got called on all game. The Red Wings just couldn’t shoot enough and get out of their own defensive zone. That’s it
So this is the result of Mr Happy's YzerPlan??? This will be Detroit's 5th year in a row, Mr Happy's Team failed to make the playoffs. He's pure genius...we're told.
