Pens finally woke up and it’s glorious to watch. The way they played all season and then especially didn’t after Guentzel left, I never would have imagined that we’d be 2 points out of a playoff spot. Just incredible. The pirates beat the nationals today too and they’re 6-1. Hard to believe..

Pens aren’t winning the cup and the pirates sure as hell aren’t winning a title. The window has closed for both Caps and Pens. As for the Nats, they have one of the greatest collapses of a World Series team in modern baseball history.

Everyone in the Eastern Conference must be allergic to the 2nd Wild Card Spot. If there's any solace for Caps fans tonight, Ovechkin is now 45 goals away from catching Gretzky. The Great 8 should tally up another 30-goal season within the final 7 games.

Caps had no puck luck (while pens had a lot as they typically do when they play each other). They also turned over the puck way too much, not a great effort.

It's realistic that the Islanders, Caps, and Red Wings will all finish the season with 90 points. If the Pens can manage to scrounge up 10 points in their last 6 games, it's practical that they'll make it in. Not only that, but with 24 points in their final 16 games, they will have the strongest momentum entering the playoffs as they've had in any season since 2017.

Nice run Lindy had but he's shown he isn't a number one. He's worn out and is letting in softies, might as well let Kuemper play now. The second goal was a fluke bounce, can't do much about that, but the first and third goals? You got to make those saves. Tender is a still a major need for the Caps.

With his drop off in goals this year, there is no guarantee that he will even be a 20-goal scorer the next two years.He might get 1 more this year,but not 3 to 5.This was his first goal in the last five games.
