I commented after we lost to the Hawks, there’s so many new guys you gotta give these guys some time to gel, it looks like they’re finally coming together. I love it man as long as sid and Geno still got the engine going they’ll never be counted out!!
Copley was too deep in his net. Wrap around would not go in if his left pad was outside of blue paint. Any way, Kings 7 games winning streak snapped. They played back to back too. At least they got a point. Go Kings Go!
Amazing beating both the Ducks and Kings back to back on the road. If the Pens could play like that against some of their lesser opponents in the East they might climb the ladder. Kings played well. Needed that 1 more shot.
*Both teams played great for the most part. Honestly thought the Pens would lose this one because the Kings have been playing exceptionally well this season. Pens gotta keep an eye out for being offside. This is the second game in a row they've had a goal called back due to being offside. It was equally amazing that Rust got his goal back after getting the first one called back. Not too many people can say they've scored two overtime goals in the same game! GG, Pens!*
I thought the same thing! If I heard it went to OT I would have been happy with the point atleast. But great resilience from the pens after that overturned goal
Malikin what a dive. Look at Karlsson on Gentzel goal defendeing string. Skating faster than anyone from behind his own net delibering apass in ozone to genzel who scores. EK65 premium world class. Who else does this so effortless? Amazing player.
Yes his Skating is incredible! No joke. But how does he fail to use it on the first kings goal! Zero hustle and Kopitar beats him to the puck and EK65 just stands there! WTF! You HAVE to go hit Kopitar in that situation! He is just so soft and doesn't even play defense AT ALL!
Kings outplayed the Pens and they played last night, gotta give them all the props in the world. But man what a win. Hellberg vs Copley was really the difference maker
Kings are back on the upside of things! I'm excited for them coming from a pens fan! I may even have to thrown on some black and silver when the pens are toast lol
Kings really are an elite team this yr I give them that, the only gripe I have with them is I've always found their goal horn to be quite annoying lol.
Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins wins in overtime against Anze Kopitar and the Los Angeles Kings 🏒⚫🟡🐧 Pittsburgh Penguins went up to 6-6-0, while the Los Angeles Kings dropped to 8-2-3
He looked fine with the shots but his feet don't seem to know where they are. Like he just switched from olympic ice or something. Hes loosing his position relative to the net even post to post which was a factor on the winner, his foot diddn't go straight to steel but over into the twine.
@@adamrichmond6348: I'm an endangered species: a Copley defender. However, his lower-limb location for the winning wraparound goal was wince-worthy. Kings' careless puck-handling, plus cheap penalties = Automatic Loss.
It was a full breakdown. Goalie misplayed the puck. EK was slow getting back. Then went to the guy in the corner instead of playing the pass. And a horrible change. Just a full breakdown. Got the W tho EK had 2 important points. Ill take it.
@@eYeCeD7 He didn't go to the guy in the corner either! He just stood in no man's land looking at Kopitar! Just horrible effort on the race for the puck. In that situation he has to go hit Kopitar and try working him at least , even if he avoids physical work like the plague! Just so soft...his Skating is incredible tho so he should have been able to beat him to the puck but couldn't be bothered to back check hard.
@@montuckyman4982 its tough. He just hesitated and got caught up. Once he seen kopitar have possession he tried to block the passing lane but it was too late. His biggest mistake was waiting for the goalie to play the puck back to him. Hes gotta beat kopitar back especially with his skating speed.
@montuckyman4982 he was at the end of a long shift; he didn't have the energy to race. He started to go in to contest, when he realized no one was covering the player in the slot. At that point, he wasn't going to get to the board in time, and had all the wrong momentum to play the streaking player. There's explanations for Karlsson's play if you look for them. Not every bad play is just someone being bad; there's nuance.
Got to be happy with a point, but if it wasn’t Copley in net, it probably would’ve been two. If Copley doesn’t improve soon, then LA needs to call up Rittich or even Portillo.
What--so they could rarely start a game because Cam Talbot is on a roll? How can Kings fans defecate on Pheonix Copley after he saved last season? Jonathan Quick had fully lost his mojo. Then Copley got snuffed for a late-season rental who was no improvement. Is Bill Ranford, whose work I have long admired, behind all of this? If he's got a problem with Copley, he should release him. That'd be gratitude for you.
WOW! Karlson showing his true defensive colors on the kings first goal! That's just pathetic effort. You HAVE to go hit Kopitar right there if you can't hustle and beat him to the puck. What a Slacker!!
It's much more difficult to prevent goals "that you can't give up" when your skaters cough-up the puck near their own net and the opponent is handed a breakaway. These are the '23-'24 Kings (N.B. Fiala + penalties), and were the '22-'23 Kings (N.B. Doughty).
No NHL goalie allows 2 wraparound goals in a game. Kings had chances to win this game, but clearly, Copley lost the game. This leaves no doubt who the Kings #1 goalie is, if there ever was ever any doubt.
@Mulukkis sure, great minds you got there... I think it's safe to say the biggest "fraud" of the season by great margin, applying your logic then, are the Oilers. Avalanche starting to look like a fraud too by now.
You idiot kings played back to back and the guy in net played after 9 games sitting on the bench kings dominated every game they played your trash penguins got lucky.
talbot in net we win easily pitt fans! In any case Cops has to get some game time way slow & not coming out to meet shooters he's a tall guy so he needs to use that positioning, but man way to easy on (2) wraps for pitt, ..come on man
Love Copley but he was bad last night we were @ the game and after watching the game highlights wow Copley gave up two wraparound goals because he cant do the splits or side by side moves never seen him do the splits Pens played a solid game but Copley lost this game not the Kings
