@@chrisguardiano6143 Considering FOX sold all of their RSNs to Sinclair/Bally Sports, it's highly unlikely. Maybe the NBC Sports RSNs can adopt this theme.
Pierre: yea guys I spoke with Sidney Crosby while he was shitting earlier. He was struggling to get it out and made a large splash. Im guessing it weighed about 4 pounds which means he should be a lot faster during tonight’s game against the Flyers. And now let’s discuss the game we are actually covering. The Red Wings are a team on the downfall and the Blackhawks need Patrick Kane to show up or they will struggle tonight. Now let’s hand it over to the sexy and amazing Kathryn Tappen back at the studio. Kathryn???
I played this in my apartment and now its in Flames. I played this to my pet fish, now they are Sharks. I played this to some princes around the world, now they are Kings. When you use caps lock you can make CAPITALS. I drank Red Bull in some café in Detroit and it gave me Wings. I played this in a pile of birch leaves, now they are Maple Leafs. I played this while snowboarding, now theres Avalanche. I played this in some observatory in Dallas and I saw Stars. I played this to my horses, now they are Predators. I played this to my paper airplanes, now they are Jets. I played this to my chicken, now they are Ducks.
My whole childhood growing up watching and falling in love with the sport of hockey. I was born in 2002. NHL on ESPN absolutely sucks. Nothing will ever surpass this legendary theme song.
The NHL on NBCSN is brought to you buy Honda, official vehicle of the NHL. Hello and welcome to Orange County, California for this first-round matchup between the Dallas Stars and the Anaheim Ducks...
I'm going to miss this legendary theme. I always considered NBC to compliment the NHL so well, as if it was synonymous to it. I'm going to miss hearing Doc's voice (I already did this season), as well as seeing the NBC scoreboard on Chel. Thank you for shaping the hockey aspects of my childhood, NHL on NBC. You will be missed.
@@faisalamalo3695 along with oddly enough CBS/Turner in a joint bid. Those two work together for March Madness and the reason why it is a joint bid is because the NHL doesn't want games on the new Paramount+ streaming service and wants those games on cable especially the ones that ESPN isn't doing. This is why Turner with TBS/TNT is a part of the bid. They are unlikely to get the NHL in my view when compared to Fox or NBC because of this. Besides CBS has said that they want soccer rights especially the Premier League to grow Paramount+'s sports portfolio and Turner is more focused on trying to keep the NBA and their portion of the MLB contract.
I will forever associate this theme with the sport's return from the lockout, the epic two series between the Penguins and Red Wings, the Hawks' dynasty, the Kings' OT thriller in 2014, and the Blues finally getting it done. It was also really cool to have the same announcers during the Olympics (albeit with different theme music), especially in 2010 and 2014. While I am no doubt thrilled to have ESPN back and its theme, I will miss NBC's coverage.
"All the sound and fury. Its over tonight! Game 7; One game to decide Lord Stanley's cup! To be decided perhaps by an unlikely goal scorer; a local Edmonton hero whose been seizing his moments. Game 7. Will it be last seated Edmonton completing one of hockey's most improbable championship seasons? Or, back in the comfort of home, can Carolina's battered Hurricanes claim their first ever cup?"
The NHL on NBCSN is brought to you by Geico, 15 Minutes can save you 15% or more on Car Insurance. Good Evening and Welcome to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs between the Vegas Golden Knights & the San Jose Sharks here at the SAP Center in San Jose, CA.
0:17 Mike Emerek: "It's a tradition that's gone back decades. The NHL Winter Classic of New Year's day. We have a good one this time between the Boston Bruins and the New York Rangers. Welcome to the NHL on NBC."
ESPN has the better broadcast, they’ve marketed the game far beyond anything that NBC did But NBC had Doc emrick and this music. Perfect for a big time hockey showdown especially playoffs.
It is,I think the Golden State Warrors and the Indians blew a 3-1 lead Wayne.I was rooting you you guys -coming from a chicago fan who doesn't watch alot of basketball. :) #CUBS!
The song makes it feel like the world will end if your team gets eliminated. While NFL on FOX and NBA on NBC are nice to listen too, this fits the event like no other.
NHL needs to get back on NBC. ESPN is putting the sport on the back burner and the streaming only games even in local markets are going to make things worse
15 years of covering one of the best major sports in North America. 15 years of showing unforgettable playoffs runs from the underdogs proving themselves they are not an easy team to beat, to contenders proving they are the best, to unexpected players becoming playoff heroes, to heart racing overtime games that sometimes need more than one to settle who wins, to teams coming back to win the series from being down, to seeing teams lose in a heartbreaking fashion, to teams winning their first cup, to teams winning multiple cups and some forming dynasties, and to Doc himself commentating games these unforgettable games. Thank you NBC for making the NHL be so fun to watch all year long and thank you for being a part of my childhood for those 15 years. Here’s to the future of ESPN and TNT broadcasting the NHL
We are at SAP Center in San Jose ready for playoffs round 2 I’m doc emrick next to me is eddie olcyzk. Now we will go down to Ray Ferraro about Thornton ray..
Great NHL theme music. This theme reminds me of the Red Wings winning the Stanley Cup in 2008. It is also very epic and energetic sounding for the game of hockey.
Hello everyone, welcome to the PPG Paints Arena where tonight we have game 7 of the 2nd round between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals! I’m Mike Emerick and this is Eddie Olzyck with Ray Ferraro rinkside . Braden Holtby has been slumping recently, and will have to get back on his game if the Capitals have any chance of staying in this series. On the Pens side, Murray has been explosive, and Crosby, Letang, and Malkin have been on fire. Brought to you by Honda, the official vehicle of the NHL. This is the NHL on NBC Sports.
Bettman should have told ESPN to kick rocks. They only want the NHL back so they can burry it on the streaming services and not have it compete with the NBa
