I belive the NHL should be limited in the number of players they can sign with no trade clauses. It has gotten out of hand, as it hurts the NHL Team, and the League with the wasted money, and crippling Teams. Pay the player, cut the No Trade Clauses.
I'm a good buddy with Trouba's wife's yoga teacher. She says she'll wave her full no move residency contract if the hospital in Buffalo will throw in a free latte as she comes into lecture hall every morning.
Why in the world does Marner owe the media anything…it’s his choice if he wants to leave and absolutely nobody’s business but his…they gave this to him so don’t hold it against him. Leave the guy alone everybody!
I thought Trouba -> Buffalo was goofy at first but the more i thought about it the more sense it makes. For Buffalo and possibly for Trouba. Now i sort of want it to happen.
only jokiharju and clifton are RD. you have to play dahlin on his off side. also, bryson, johnson, and gilbert are AHL level dmen, with only johnson having potential for more. trouba would actually fit your team well, hockey-wise. not just that he's RD, but also that he's physical, which is your team's biggest weakness. but if you were going to do this, you should have kept skinner and swapped him for trouba. the rags need a 2nd line winger. it's probably not going to happen. i'm betting the rags keep him for the year, then trouba plays ball next year, once his wife is finished her residency.
@Sabres1970 Lindy would love to have Trouba i think. RD, experience, physicality, leadership history. I thought the same thing at first but then it started to make sense. Plus Sammy is constantly injured which may ultimately be a downfall to him, which i hope doesn't happen but def not out of the realm of possibility
@@boxingfan5555 we like Joki, but that's not out of the realm of possibility as a real trade honestly. We just re-signed Joki and are trying to add another Rshot D, so it would be a little goofy on our end, but it could happen.
@gootvansquid joki is a free agent after this year, that's one of the reasons why I said that, the Sabres can move him before his contract is up and get something for him at least
Depending where Trouba is living, Buffalo is a solid 7 hour drive from NYC. I think Trouba makrdsense on the ice but only as a bottom 4 guy. And I think BUF gets a bad rap for living, but with the wife firmly entrenched in NYC, I doubt that would be a factor
Nobody wants to play in Montreal, if Montreal was so wonderful place to play why didn’t Stamkos sign there? He played with their GM. Media and fans there drive people crazy plus you have 58% taxes
@sojiroseta98 who says he can't make an impact he had 40 points in his second season as a third liner. he didn't get the same opportunity slaf got. also his bozo coach got fired for a reason. watch the games.
Has anyone considered the leafs brutal d corps results in less chances for the forwards? Their backend has held up defensively but haven’t produced any offence.
Great Video, as usual, Mike. I don't see A Trouba to Buffalo Sabres, especially since, I don't see any player(s) that will be wanted by The Rangers (Tage Thompson isn't coming back to The Rangers - LOL). Also, I don't think that Kevyn Adams will trade one of his Prime D to The Rangers for Jacob Trouba either. Therefore, I don't think it will happen, not to mention, I don't think that Trouba would want to go from A President's Trophy Winning Team to some team that's still rebuilding. Let me know what you think. PS. I don't see Lindy Ruff being a fan of Trouba, given his Poor Defense, etc.
Buf needs an actually decent right-shot defender, we need an actual line mate for Power on the right side, he would be a prefect upgrade over Henri Jokiharju. It makes a ton of sense over detroit, because detroit isn't going to pair him w/ a former 1st overall pick, guys would probably rather play with better talent (on defense) if they have a say (nmc/nt-c)
When your practicing in the medical field you have to stay in the Same state hence why Buffalo and Trouba make sense. Only other place is the Islanders so it makes sense. As the money goes they can figure ways to not eat all the Salary
Buffalo’s GM won’t trade with NY Rangers, after Drury lowballed for Eichel, he wanted to give up the 12th best prospect and a 4th rd pick for Eichel. Wouldn’t even give up the great Kakko Krappo bust o Rama
If Drury waives Trouba, could Trouba threaten to retire to prevent a claim and what would happen to Trouba's cap hit if he did retire (both before and after a waiver claim).
I’m a habs fan but today I thought what if the leafs traded JT for Liane. They save 2.5M almost and JT has a contact that is all signing bonus so it should have been paid july 1. Columbus pays league minimum for JT but gets the big cap hit to save money and the leafs get an elite scorer to add to the embarrassment of riches and get 2.5 in cap space
why would any team in their right minds want Tavares? even in his younger years I always thought he was so overrated but now? he is 33 and Laine is far younger at 26..Laine can get you far more than just Tavares and Columbus will want much more..but truth is Tavares will never waive his NMC to go to Columbus anyways..you are right about the money part, its just not realistic cause he holds all the cards
@@RoamHockey I totally agree 100% whit his no trade or no move I honestly don’t think he gets traded. When I looked at his stats and his deal he really has value to lower spending teams. He had 29 goals, high 50’s FO% I think it’s an 11M cap hit but due to its structure it’s all signing bonus except a league minimum salary. I feel teams like OTT or Columbus due to spending or the devils due to being on that playoff bubble he would really help. It won’t happen tho
@@RoamHockey also I don’t think Liane fetches a ton. I want the habs to trade for him honestly. I think something like Barron or Harris, middle 6 type prospect, 2nd rounder and Armia for some salary going back
@@JohnnyJMurphy if we trade for laine, the blue jackets are taking back anderson. we'll toss in barron/harris and the 2nd. if that's not good enough for them, i walk away.
If you honestly believe that then you haven’t been paying attention. I have covered tons of players rumoured to be traded that were traded. You also need to realize that when really good players are available for trade there will be tons of teams interested which is why there is so much speculation on where the player may end up.
If im Drury id do a backdoor deal to get rid of trouba, especially if he dont wanna work with nyr! He dont wanna go to detroit then send him to Anaheim 👋
I sick of this talk about Drury going to play dirty this is not Family Feud ... Its a business has nothing to do with being ruthless us as fans yes we love our players but when its time for change to win then we need to do what it takes to win and if if you cant find a trade or work together the you have to wave him. BOTTOM LINE WAVE HIM!!! LGR
@@user-jr4ev2iz9p no loyalty that has nothing to do with it it has to do with we have been paying this man 8 million a year to do what he supposed to do and he hasn't been doing it so now it's time to move on And find someone that will do it no loyalty I've been a ranger fan for 40 years I'm lucky I got to see a cup but my kids want to see one too
I would not give even a 5th for Hall lol..that guy is so useless and lazy..but? I live in Montreal and if the Habs did that? I would call all my friends that are Habs fans to rib them about it lol..so I hope it happens somehow 👍
hall has the talent to play in the top six and his deal expires after this season. anderson has 3 years left. that's the why. next year you can plug demidov into that hole. the why not is that hall is just as flaky as laine is, but 6 years older. if i'm doing this i think i offer a 3rd instead. not crazy about hall, but not the dumbest idea i've ever heard.
