I took my husband to A&E with excruciating pain in his leg he was screaming the DR came in and told him to stop screaming it was just cyatic pain he was rushed to surgery hours later they had to amputate his leg he had a massive blood clot blocking blood flow to his leg. His leg died and was killing him. That DR was so rude and dismissive

Doctors are unfortunately a set of brainwashed entitled socialists there for the salaries. NHS is a failed communist Ideology which costs lives. Throwing more money at the monster won't solve it.

So sad . Chloe should have been listened to and taken seriously. It is shocking how Chloe was treated by professionals. It should of been treated immediately. There should of been high quality care . Chloe should of been given life saving treatment. Chloe was so positive. Chloe smile is infectious. What a beautiful girl Chloe was . What a lovely girl Chloe was . No parent should have to witness there daughter deteriorating in this way . My heart goes out to Chloe's family. My condolences to Chloe's family ❤❤❤

That is messed up, it is extremely important to know if you have had sepsis because sepsis can have some lifelong complications (most common is you are more susceptible to getting it again)

It seems in these cases complaints to the hospital don't work, unless someone dies. I noticed they get entertained when things get to national media. Apart from demanding a second opinion, it helps being very vocal that you intend to involve national news channels. You'll see doctors and nurses moving very quickly, busy or not.

My father passed from something very similar to sepsis. It was very quick and completely unexpected. He was shivering, but it wasn’t cold. He never got sick and he had a cold. When we called an ambulance, they said they think he might have sepsis. He looked so shocked and he was really poorly. My mother went with him in the ambulance. His temperature was also high aswell. He stayed overnight and came home two days later, they said his temperature was normal again and the shivering stopped, and also sent some anti-constipation medication sachets. He spent his final night in his own home, his own bed, with his wife, and daughter nearby. He didn’t sleep much but he was so so glad to be home. He took a fall the next day in the bathroom, couldn’t get up (he was a large man), I heard him dying; the toilet door was locked and he was struggling to get up and breathe. Then there was silence. My mother called his name and there was no response , so she immediately called 999. I helped get the door unlocked but my father was trapped and we couldn’t get the hinges off the door in time to resuscitate. A neighbour helped but it took too long. He had gone. 😢💗💔my beautiful papa was 64, and I don’t fully blame the NHS but they could have done a lot more. They should have been extra cautious. We need better diagnostics in place, as well as more tests. Sepsis is real y’all..Spot the signs. Even if it’s 2 of the 6. Don’t wait for it to pass. Go to the emergency room and insist to be seen.

What an appalling neglect by medics in one of the most developed of nations! Anyone can easily guess what would be happening with patients in developing nations.

Oh my days. This is so frustrating. I’m an emergency nurse and now work in GP practice. I don’t understand why clinicians don’t check and double check sepsis markers for almost EVERYTHING. And then recheck. Even if I have a minor cut come in I give sepsis advice and leaflets. It’s infuriating how avoidable this tragedy can sometimes be. My absolute heart goes out to them.

I’m so sick of the Nhs getting away with this now! She was a young girl! She should not of lost her life like this! Nhs need to be held accountable for every preventable death! And preventable life changing injury.

1. RIP and condolences to your family 😢❤ 2. It is utterly ridiculous that this even happened. The onus should not be on the parents to ask the doctors and nurses whether it could be sepsis. The doctors are trained medical professionals and should be doing their jobs properly. How on Earth do they expect parents and other individuals who are at hospitals, who likely are experiencing a lot of stress as is and who are NOT trained, to know this information and to have to ask basic questions that the medical professionals should already be asking themselves upon making their assessments? This is absurd. Everything should be taken seriously at the hospital, medical staff should be doing what they're trained and paid to do, and this is a prime example of gross negligence. The nurses and doctors responsible should have their licenses/certificates revoked. Those responsible should also face jail time for this young person's death.

Thanks for sharing hopefully we can save others. But medically if doctor's don't act quickly what can you do. Transfer your child? 2nd opinion or let them put down your questions? Crazy illness comes any time.

It is worrying that these high profile cases have been highlighted for YEARS AND YEARS and it feels like the medical profession has not moved on this AT ALL! Why is time standing still on the treatment of sepsis? Is it a cultural issue for the UK only? Are other countries standing still on this issue?

My brother wasn't tested for sepsis at A&E and was told to go home and rest. When he went back to GP, that's when he was properly treated. This happened because the NHS are desperate for staff, so they hier anyone.

Sepsis nearly claimed by Dad's life at Blackburn Royal Infirmary back in 2010. He ended up on life support and only narrowly survived coming out with permanent conditions from the ICU itself. The nurses were curt, arrogant and negligent.
