I am big fan of J- shinkansen, mostly travel monthly basis in H5 and N7000S model North and south direction from tokyo. Its awasome our great country going to have my fav shinkansen E5 model for Mumbai to Ahemadabad. For sure its going to be a econmic transformation in the route.
Really happy to see the high speed line development and hopefully would enjoy riding it someday soon. However, the last statement in the video, which went "proud signature of Indian engineering" is quite misleading. It is after all Japanese engineering and we should give credit where it is due.

make this is as default tracks for all future tracks and existing track conversions.. Also think how the same track can be converted to maglev with similar modular constructions
It's construction cost is too much. One route of mumbai- ahemdabad is around $12-15B. If it extends to Delhi then another $20-25B. That's why routes like Chennai -bengaluru - Hyderabad are more important after this. We need to take many loans for that.
instead of making new bullet trains make a good railway double line to increase frequency and stability for great intercity trains for basic need most ppl need intercity than bullet train because bullet train will be same price of air cost so prefer normal train to increase speed and increase route like delhi south india via bhopal like via some other route
Only Modi ji made it possible , Japan built it in 1964 on its own , China built these tracks and trains in 2009 operational what were we doing then? Amazing work by current gov and NHSRCL.

This is a TOY SYSTEM just like RRTS and metro. Make High speed railway NETWORK and then we talk. Leave NETWORK, this is not even LINE, this is just a LINE SEGMENT B/W Mumbai Ahemedabad taking this long………………………VB, electrification and Station upgrade is good. But there is a data that shows 23% increase in track length vs 1200% increase in no of trains and passengers since 1950. Due to heavy traffic the trains have become equal or even slower than it used to be in 1960s. Never Faster! Hygiene and Overcrowding is no1 issue but not fault of Railways it’s the Poor Indians and poor mindset and people who travel without tickets

The people who can afford this bullet train are busy in doing their work. And the people who generally can’t afford it are watching this video and typing comments. Not saying that it’s useless..it is much needed thing. Because the amount you spend on capex and in infrastructure it returns back. But just saying what I feel. Bullet train can only be successful if the distance is between 200 and 800 km. Most of chinese bullet trains are in loss except shanghai bejing. They are country concentrated in east coast. Building bullet train in western ghat is gonna be huge costly, so mumbai pune can be ruled out. So their are very vew chances of other route to feasible in future. It is the best route they have chosen. And have 2, 3 major cities in between. Other cheap alternative can be europe like mix of high speed and medium speed tracks in our existing tracks. Spanish and Portuguese high speed trains are only high speed trains capable running in broad gauge. They can be better and cheap alternative for other route with very less money.
Two things. Railways must learn to run its train on time and second we must learn to keep it clean. In most of the express train I have noticed even the local trains that people really do rubbish work which makes me wonder why do we dirty our own country. Finally I have never understood why railways fails to keep its train on time.
That train is still not operational. It is still in testing phase available only in certain routes in Japan. This train can anyway run on the same tracks. So in future we can acquire if there is more demand for it.
