Niagara Falls 🇨🇦 - Fallsview Casino Resort Walking Tour + The Backyard BBQ And Walk To The Falls 

Hands-down one of my favorite places in the tourist areas of Niagara Falls, Ontario. No matter the season, the Fallsview Casino Resort Mall is always welcoming, filled with bright colors, offering yummy foods and enhanced by spectacular views of the Horseshoe Falls from various points right outdoors. There's a reason I selected this fun place as the focal point -- along with the waterfalls, of course -- of my birthday celebration earlier this year. I didn't stay at a fancy hotel, but I stayed across the street (at a charming hotel, Quality Fallsview Cascade Hotel, in an upper-floor room with a balcony and view of the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls). So it was neat to be able to cross the street -- Murray Street a.k.a. Murray Hill -- and be at the Fallsview Casino Resort Mall. Oftentimes I'd cross from that hotel and climb the steps, and then stroll the tranquil path lined with beautiful trees and shrubs as well as gorgeous views of the Horseshoe Falls, leading right up to the area where the Backyard BBQ takes place in summer. ... Then I'd continue on via the Niagara Inclined Railway (after securing an inexpensive r/t ticket) and ride down the beautiful steepness to the platform where you can proceed on the Bridge of Flowers and into Table Rock Centre or turn left (after exiting the funicular/railway and taking the left pathway instead of heading straight to the pedestrian bridge) and find yourself on a mellow downward paved path leaving you a few steps from Queen Victoria Place's shops and grand restaurant. What I long to experience is the Backyard BBQ! Christine, I'm sure I stand among many of your subscribed viewers in thoroughly enjoying your footage of Fallsview Casino Resort's Backyard Barbecue.❤️‍🔥 What I love about ALL of Niagara Falls -- Canadian and American sides of the river and gorge -- are the many facets in which Nature is celebrated (from well-maintained parks and lookouts, tunnels and trails, to aerocar, catamaran and zipline); the youthful year-round carnival-like amusements and eats for all ages; various levels of dining ($, $$, $$$ and $$$$); and fabulous attractions everywhere. Consider this: You can hike through the Niagara Gorge on either side of the Niagara River after a hearty breakfast at your hotel or in town (PLENTY of places); check out The Tunnel (Ontario side) or Cave of the Winds (NY side); ride the Niagara Falls Scenic trolley (NY side); ride aboard Maid of the Mist (NY) or Niagara City Cruises (ONT); visit the amazing Bird Kingdom (a must-see, more than once); tour the lobbies of hotels (both sides of the river); enjoy a yummy lunch (either side); enjoy the Midway and Niagara Skywheel (ONT side, on Clifton Hill); explore the authentic Downtown Niagara Falls (ONT) or Old Falls Street (NY -- please, make a reservation online for lunch or supper at SAVOR , located on Old Falls St., or at least stop by SAVOR's pâtisserie where no reservations are needed ever); chill at dinner at Red Coach Inn or SAVOR (NY) or Backyard BBQ or any of a slew of restaurants (ONT); and then enjoy fireworks (through October 9th) from a high-floor but inexpensive room at Comfort Inn The Pointe (NY, steps from the American Falls) or from multiple spots outside or inside your hotel room on the Canadian side. The moment in this wegoplacestours video when Christine speaks sweetly to a seabird reminded me of something: a passport. I never forget to get mine renewed every 10 years. One thing that I find isn't said specifically to Americans and Canadians which travelers from other countries already possess: Please bring your passport with you when you visit the Niagara Falls region. There are lots of Americans and Canadians who don't have passports or whose passports expired. Believe me when I tell you that it's a JOY to be able to have fun in Niagara Falls, NY, and then to stroll across the Rainbow Bridge and -- after a brief stop in Customs -- have fun in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Remember, Niagara Falls is one, great region! As we've seen in Christine's videos and in other vloggers' videos, visitors can make Niagara Falls (U.S. or Canadian side) their hotel base and then fling themselves not too far afield to enjoy wineries (NY & ONT); dining and antiquing in Lewiston, NY, and sightseeing in Youngstown, NY (including Olde Forte Niagara) all possible even if you don't drive, because there are FREE Discover Niagara shuttles in spring, summer and fall (call or visit the website of Discover Niagara to know which exact date in October is the last for the shuttles -- and there's a shuttle route to & from Lockport, NY). And there are wine tastings in multiple locations right there in Niagara Falls, NY -- on Old Falls Street -- and in the Made In America mall. And let's not forget the many tours on foot and by coach that are worth every penny. So you don't have to have a car to enjoy lots of great areas and towns in the Niagara Falls region. For example, I'm a diehard budget traveler, yet have seen and experienced a wide variety of attractions from natural to manmade. I've enjoyed AMAZING cuisine from around the world and, quite frankly, the best Burger King meals from the franchise on Clifton Hill and the franchise in the lower-level food court inside the Fallsview Casino Resort Mall. And pizza? Yes, I've had the most delicious pizza on the American side of the Niagara River, from Mario's Pizza (on Old Falls Street, a hop-skip-&-a-jump from the American Falls and from the U.S. side of the border) and Frankie's Donuts (to get to yummy donuts AND pizza, there's a shuttle stop on the Discover Niagara's main route) to Vincenzo's (Center Street in Lewiston, NY -- I discovered it by riding the Discover Niagara shuttle in early October 2022). Both sides of the Niagara River have awesome bakeries. Thus far, my fave for Italian breads, and sandwiches, tarts and cakes is Di Camillo's Bakery (several locations in Niagara Falls, NY). My fave for Parisian-style pastries and cakes is SAVOR pâtisserie, located on Old Falls Street in Niagara Falls, NY. SAVOR -- both the resto (for full-course lunches and dinners) and the pâtisserie -- are part of the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, and the chefs (including pastry chefs), servers, bussers and captains are students. I always make a reservation for lunch or dinner about two months before my visit to Niagara Falls, NY. IMO, every time it has been a Michelin-star experience! Though, how many restos can you have a fine-quality, white-tablecloth, four-course or five-course experience for $15 (lunch) or $25 (dinner). The prix fixe structure includes non-alcoholic beverage. When I've ordered wine by the glass, it was delicious and inexpensive. Hey, there's an unaffiliated wine tasting establishment next door that I advise you all to check out; it features bottles of wine from a Niagara County winery. Six bucks for delectable wine & cheese? Yes, please. Once I happily paid $9 to have my wine tastings in a cute souvenir glass, which looks awesome in my cabinet.👍 Much love and success to wegoplacestours!😄 Another fabulous Backyard BBQ video! 🔥🥩🌭🍕🍦🍺🌝⛲️ Please remember to pay a visit to Bird Kingdom, located in Niagara Falls, ONT, just steps from the Rainbow Bridge and, thus, the border; the Niagara Falls Aquarium (NY)easy to reach via Niagara Falls Scenic trolley (not a year-round trolley), Discover Niagara shuttle, or on foot (you can walk from the Prospect Pointe edge of Niagara Falls State Park, to the aquarium); and three more wonderful Nature attractions: the Butterfly Conservatory (take WEGO's Green Line bus); the Floral Showcase; and Dufferin Islands. These last three places are located in Niagara Falls, ONT, and can be reached easily by WEGO buses, by bike, by car or on foot. Please note that the walk is far from the area of, say, Queen Victoria Place to either Dufferin Islands and to the Butterfly Conservatory. The Floral Showcase is a quick walk from Table Rock Centre. I can't say enough and often that, out of the numerous RU-vid vloggers who have shown us footage of Niagara Falls (the entire region), wegoplacestours has given us the most comprehensive. Enjoyed the casino walkthrough and seeing the shops within, Christine. Always wanted to see my eye up on the wall! 🤣🤣Love the modern architecture and glass walls. Bakery too! But nothing beats BBQ 🐷with a lovely view of the falls! Wise choice for desert. Shame it was a little dry. But the folks on the tower could only watch and 🤤But wait a minute. That includes me too! I love that they move the trucks around and have different ones! the smells are so good down there. There was more around the side of the casino when I was there, I came in from the Skylon side. I had a feeling the funnel cake was going to be your choice! So nice behind the casino. If I was in that elevator I'd be not happy lol. Loved the video Christine! Wish I could have made it out

Hey Christine, awesome shots of the Falls, river, boats, and seagull!! Absolutely beautiful! I wonder if there were any people in the broken down Skylon bug elevator. If you're going to be stuck in an elevator, I guess having a view of Niagara Falls wouldn't be so bad, lol. It is so sad the Swiss Fudge shoppe in the casino is gone. I last bought fudge there in 2021 shorlty after the border reopened after the pandemic. I was talking to the owner of Swiss Fudge and she told me how she was struggling. She said her dad started the business in the 1960's and how she will be disappointed if she can't keep it going. She said how terrible the casino treated the tenants during the Covid shutdown. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she will open up again in a different location. As a kid, I remember mom buying fudge from them when they had a little cart in the Skylon Tower. Their fudge really was the best. The fudge on Clifton Hill is good but Swiss Fudge was even better. Thanks for the video!!

Interesting tour. It is cool to see new trendy things like the Iris Art Gallery but I wonder about the ability to stay in business with a niche place like that. Carlos has cake vending machine, how cool! Choices, choices, ice cream or funnel or both! You know we are a funny bunch in North America because we don't tend to mingle with others in this setting. I have often found if there is room for me and others in my party I ask those seated at a table if they would mind if we sat with them and have never been refused. Meet the nicest people that way. The falls looked pretty on this day.

Hi Christine, l know l joke with you but mean no malice and just to say you make great videos with steady pictures and you are engaging. Loss of signal can happen to any streamer at certain times around that area, can't be helped but it would be good to think viewers with any empathy realise it is the effort that counts. Nice shopping Mall , Atrium and Backyard Barbecue. Always good to see the Falls and terrific shot of Hornblower passing the American Falls and of course the magnificent Horseshoe Falls. Nice closing shot with the powerful cascade of the Falls dropping at the side of the ant-like looking people on the look out landing .
