Man, I really appreciate how you did this video - no fluff, straight answers about what's good and what's not worth it, and you get to the point quickly. Subscribing!
Leaving this comment after following your recommendations to a T (including staying at niagara on the lake) to tell everyone it was spot on. Thank you for a great video!
That’s amazing to hear! Truly that makes me feel good. That’s why I’m making these videos. I hope people can get the most out of their time around here.
I live in Northeast Ohio I go to Niagara Falls about 4 times a year I know most the free view points on both sides I start my walks at Terrapin Point US side of Horseshoe Falls and walk my way over to Table Rock Welcome Center over the course of the day going to luna island, prospect point, walking the rainbow bridge then soaking in the views of the Canadian Side always a great experience to be able to stand right next to the falls on the US side then getting the views on the Canadian Side it's definitely the complete free Niagara Falls experience
@@glasbo Terrapin Point on Sunny mornings like 7am till 11 to noon can give some pretty impressive Rainbows at Horseshoe Falls to give Canadian Side a run for their money for photography shots lol I got a great video of a rainbow at Terrapin Point somewhere on my channel
Currents was an experience ill never forget as well. Its a must do at some point, they did an amazing job telling the history of the falls, how the local communities grew over time and how the power station was created. I found it all quite inspiring. The way they integrated the visitors into the show and also the turbines was especially memorable. I need to go back and see it again.
Wonderful video. We're planning to visit Niagra Falls later this year, and your well-edited narrative with beautiful footage and insightful commentary is incredibly helpful! Thanks!!
Thank you for taking the time to create a thorough review of Niagara Falls! I've never been and I'm about to go. You probably saved me a lot of time. It's appreciated 🙏😊
Took the power station guided tour. Was very impressed with it all! Take a jacket with you into the tunnel! It is cold and damp walking thru there! Hoping some day to ride the jet boats! We always miss making a reservation!
Great video on ranking the attractions at Niagara Falls! As an Ontario local, your insights are really valuable. It’s helpful to know which attractions are worth the time and money. Niagara Falls has so much to offer, and your recommendations will definitely help visitors make the most of their trip. Thanks for sharing your experiences and tips! Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad
Hi all! As a Niagara local and someone who works by the Falls I'd like to throw my 2 cents in. It's mainly reinforcing a lot of the points but also with some other information not talked about. First one is clifton hill: In my opinion it's GARBAGE, a lot of tacky overpriced arcade and carnival esque things that just aren't really worth it at all in my opinion for the price. The Skywheel is about as much as I'd recommend for the view and experience alone (Especially at night when we do our fireworks show at 10). Apart from that it really just depends on your tastes and how your travelling (kids etc.) Another one, for most of the Niagara Parks attractions/parks you're gonna be needing to drive or walk apart from the ones located in the welcome center or power station. Both the Falls and Plus adventure pass include 2 days of Wego bus access, which is phenomenal especially if you don't have a car, as they are hop on hop off and have various routes that go to basically all of the attractions. The Plus also includes the NoTL wego shuttle for the attractions up there and is only 25$ more expensive than the Falls Pass. If you choose to drive and use your own car, beware of the parks parking lots hefty prices (most are $8-10/hr but this gravely adds up, some are even 24/hr!!!) Instead a $45 yearly all lots pass is sold online from the parks website for Ontario residents to use on 2 cars. But purchase it ahead of your visit as they get mailed out a day after you buy them and can take up to 2 weeks to get to you wherever you live in Ontario. It's good for a calendar year so you only get about 4 months of use out of it now, but if you do the math you're still saving money with the prices of hourly parking. Hope this helps you all enjoy your next visit to the Falls!
Great video, super helpful and much appreciated. I use to visit Niagara Falls as a kid at least once a year (whenever family would visit!) but haven't been in over 15 years. Going soon with my own kids (7 and 10) and it was great to get a refresher about some of the old and new attractions. Glen nature reserve looks like an amazing hidden gem :) Would love to hear your take on the Bird Kingdom; go or pass?
Great video, would agree with most of your views like flower gardens can be skipped. Few places new to me like the welland canal and Glen nature center, would definitely try. Super informative content 😊
Great video- wish I ran into it sooner into my Niagara trip! 😂 Agree with most points. I would say if you can only choose one, it's gotta be the Hornblower. Absolutely worth it and such a fun experience being so close to the Horseshoe Falls. We-Go passes to get around were worth it too! Might try to stay around Niagara on the Lake next time. Cheers!
Ooh I have to ask have you ever tried/done the Cup and Saucer Trail on Manitoulin? Its got some amazing views also has varying trail difficulties. (With gorgeous views) Great video ^.^
Something I think that’s worth mentioning is climbing the ~250 step high Brock Monument Tower. It’s not always open for climbing, but holy smokes is it one of the most bizarre experiences you can do in Niagara for $5. Before you start your climb up, just be sure to ask the attendant if there’s anyone in the tower already. There’s barely room for 3 people at the viewing platform at the top, but you definitely feel accomplished when you get there. Hopefully you can do a review of that in the future!
I've lived here in Niagara Falls all my life. I'd say you're pretty spot on. It was my great grandfather that untangled the lines on the breeches buoy chair to rescue the two men from the scow (barge) in 1918. A new commemorative plaque was placed at the river's edge by the scow in 2018 on the 100th anniversary. A huge storm moved and broke up the barge a few years ago after sitting there undisturbed for a century.
I was just there, and I agree with the first few. It's sad that more often than not when they show the Canadian side, they only show Clifton Hill. The Floral Clock, unless you're going to Niagara-on-the-Lake, I wouldn't make a special stop there either. The Laura-Secord house seems interesting, but too inconvenient if you don't have a car. Skylon Tower, maybe if you're staying on the Canadian side, but if you're just visiting from NY, I don't think it's worth the hassle. The next few I agree. I almost didn't go to the Botanical Garden because of YOU, but sort of ended up there on accident, and I disagree with you that it's no different from other botanical gardens and that NOTL has better ones. Maybe if you're Canadian I can argue that it's nothing special, but as an American, I found it much better than our gardens. Plus it's free! The butterfly place I would skip though. The Glen and Niagara-on-the-Lake I agree, but you lost me on the rest. Rainbow Bridge is cool, but don't go there unless you're actually planning to cross the border, because at the end of the day, it is an official border crossing, not a place to play around. I would add the Carmelite monastery in Niagara Falls and also Fort George and maybe the Temple of Ten Thousand Buddhas. All very underrated attractions. I know this video only focuses on the Canadian side, but on the American side you gotta do Fort Niagara, Lewiston, Whirlpool State Park and Niagara State Park. I'd also recommend the Wax Museum of History and Niagara Falls town if you like history. The American side also has a free attraction shuttle, which the Canadian side doesn't. The Canadian side as a whole has much more to offer, but the town has a lot of tourist traps, while the American side feels more authentic. But the Canadian side has better customer service has way more amenities, nightlife and food options. The American side looks like it's designed for South Asian people. One Indian restaurant after another! And once you get past the tourist area, it's unsafe. The Canadian side is more expensive, but personally after having spent time on both sides, if you can afford it, stay on the Canadian side. You're right about the travel times between the different sites, especially if you're using the shuttle
A bird sanctuary with a Niagara Falls history section? Interesting. Driven by that place many times but never gave it much of a thought. Will have to check it out. Thanks.
Thank you for this wonderful video. I am planning to be there in a month. Do you suggest to rent a car while visiting? I am planning to be there 4 days. Thank ton 🙏🏽
Thanks for watching! If you get the Niagara Falls Pass it includes the WEGO bus pass which will take you to all the major attractions so you could get by without a car. But if you want to visit Niagara-on-the-Lake, wineries, etc I’d suggest getting a car for a day or two. Hope that helps!
I really don’t have any recommendations. We don’t typically eat near the falls. There’s a lot of chain restaurants around there. Niagara on the lake has better restaurants if you’re looking for a nice dinner/ patio experience.
I've only been to Fallsview once, I'm an advantage BJ player, saw the high table limits and Shuffling machines so left, terrible games terrible everything
Only go to 'Journey behind the falls' if you go super early or not in the summer. You will be waiting in line for at least 2 hours just to get in and 20-30mins to get out! The jet boat is pricey, but is totally worth it. Super fun, and if you ever wanted to expirience massive walls of water slamming against you over and over this is it!
We love Niagara Falls and visit every year at least once. And we love the Floral clock! We always stop there because every year it is different. ( The Floral Show House is also great in winter when many attractions are closed) Other then the jet boats we did all these activities and some more and the best thing we just did this year was the helicopter ride! It is not cheap but it was worth every penny!
Hi! Thank you for nice videos and info. But if we stay in Niagara on the Lake (like your suggestion), and we have car with us. Should we take public trans or driving? Are there plenty of parking spot near the Falls and free parking? Thanks in advance
There’s lots of parking around Niagara Falls so you can park pretty close to whatever attraction you’re visiting, but the parking is not free. It’s going to cost around $35 for the day. Personally I would use my own car over transit because it’s just faster. If you decide to take the wego bus there are lots of stops so it will take you right to the major attractions.
Hi. We are going to Niagara Falls in a few weeks. A couple of us have knee issues is there things that you would do/not do in that situation. Great video! I have watched several and yours is by far the best and most comprehensive as to what you liked/liked less.
I’m just seeing this now. I may be too late but most places are accessible. I know for sure the whirlpool aero car does not have an elevator and it’s only a steep set of stairs.
