This is probably my last dig at this dump for a while and there was some lovely bits and bottles! I hope everyone has enjoyed my videos so far and I hope to be back as soon as I can once I am all settled into my new home. Please be safe and enjoy the move. I know they can be a little frustrating. I hope your home is blessed with many happy memories to come. I will miss your videos. I have become to love and look forward to seeing them. As much as I do the mudpie videos. I for sure will be here if and when you return. May God bless you and your family. Hi Ed, you sort of saved your best till last. I've really enjoyed piecing together the habits of the locals that used that tip, from the objects found. A real journey through time. Aw I’m going to miss your digs! ☹️ hope you get back to normal soon. I have one of those big stoneware jugs from my Husbands Grandparents who were married at the turn of the century and used to keep kitchen utensils in it. I now use it for the same purpose. Good luck with moving!

Aw Ed, we’re gonna miss you man! Sarah and I look forward to your videos. Hope you bag a new permission soon. Hope the move goes well too! That cup has Forget-Me-Nots on it… I reckon “Remember Me” is maybe a translation error from German to English. Your Toby jug looks like Gordon Brown! Thanks you guys 😊 I think I will probably be dusting off the metal detector a bit when I get there as it is a bit more flat around there, mountain side detecting was not easy😂 Interesting thought about the cup, you might be right, I think as it has Germany on the bottom it might be from before WWI, after that I think they put foreign made on it for obvious reasons. I will be back before you know it, thanks for all the support you two are legends (also jack too 😊)

Love Toby jugs. I have a tiny one my grandmother gave me at birth. It's only about 3" high and very old! And....Lol...I'm over 70!

@@VintageParagonUk I would say use as much as you think it will take as it will sand down easily,line the crack inside with a strip of Milliput to secure it and have fun 😁

Thank you, we have been planning to move for a little while but certain events delayed that a bit so now we are finally moving along again so we are excited to move but you know how disruptive moving to a new place can be so hopefully it all goes smoothly and I can get back out digging again. Those little flasks were quite popular during prohibition in the United States. Some had a curve so they would fit in a hip pocket or a ladies garter. Those paint cans may contain leftover lead based paint.

That is a lovely big jar I would also find all sorts of things to use it for! Looking forward to what you find in the future, always surprised by how fancy the paste pots are for what these days would be something in a can that you would toss just like they tossed the jars.

Thanks, they come out pretty clean already so usually just bottle brushes and sometimes a dip in brick acid 👍

Hi Ed, Just found your excellent channel & subbed, I follow several other bottle digging channels too, done a few digs myself, some years ago, wouldn't mind having another go at it, although not too many sites convenient to my area now, a couple I used in the distant past have either been built over or become completely inaccessible. What a fabulous haul of bottles! The big stoneware jar thing and the man are really cool. Your glass comes out so lovely. How do you clean it? Do you have any issues with sick glass? I hope your move goes smoothly and that you find some great dumps near your new place. I guess I'll have to work backwards through your videos in the meantime. Since I just found your channel recently, I have not seen most of them!

Thank you 👍 they seem to come out of this dump without much sickness usually so scrub up really well with just bottle brushes but I do use brick acid on any with rust on them. I hope you enjoy the rest of my videos too 😁👍

What's the best way to find an old dump, I live in Wiltshire not far from Devizes and I'm sure there must be one near.... Where do I start.? I hope the move goes trouble free and I hope you find another dump to investigate 👍💕💕

It can take quite a bit of walking about but old maps help, sidebysidemaps.com for example and look for old pits/ quarries/ ponds/ ditches that are no longer there and they might have been filled in with rubbish. look for broken glass china or coal ash and chances are it was used as a dump 👍 I hope I find a nice digging spot too 🙂

The ones in these beers were rotten cork/wood so not really worth keeping but always hang onto any Vulcanite ones 👍

I have boxes full of beer bottles in the shed 😂 I can't bring myself to leave them there but no idea what to do with them, I don't usually put them on Etsy as they are so heavy the shipping would be crazy but I can have a rummage about for you if you message me on there 👍 I think that one is quite sick from this video and I am not sure I have any others as I sold most of them to a pub in London called Jones & Sons.
