A bit late here, but apparently this wasn't even part of the study; it's only mentioned at all because it was apparently a novel instance of alpha-GPC causing hypersexuality in a subject and supposedly was reported to them after the study (which is actually linked in the pictured website) had taken place with no other notable mentions I can find. Not only is Paul not actually citing a study for evidence, he's citing a second-hand anecdote about an apparently novel instance of alpha-GPC causing hypersexuality in a subject. You couldn't cherry pick evidence harder than this without just plain making it up.
@@junieb9446 That could mean that the 79 year old man may of had compounding factors that even lead to the secondary effect in which the alpha-GPC wasn't the main contributing factor, or possibly not a factor at all. The guy could of had a different way of processing it medically unique to few people. This is why sample size is so important in studies, along with control groups to at least try to rule out outside factors tainting the data.

I know years late on this response, but for my education to get a degree in Chemistry, we watched a documentary about how the Soy plant is pretty much the most useful plant in history. It has steroids in it that can be modified to be a wide range of important drugs, it's alpha protein was game changer. It's like these people don't actually understand chemistry or how the fact that because something started in a Soy plant, that doesn't mean it is the same thing anymore.
Because that would ruin their argument if they understood chemistry, so instead, chemistry is a "libreal" study while "real men" (what ever that is) to make sure that it can't hurt their objectively wrong ideas

I've never hated myself enough to endure a full PJW video because whenever I hear him speak I get a similar experience to when Carlgon speaks in that I can feel my brain cells rapidly committing suicide, but oh my god. Even in just a few clips, it's clear how desperate Paul is to convince his followers that he's right and everyone else is wrong.

Well scrolling the comments, I've seen some people saying they used to be wired into the alt-right echo chamber until they watched videos like this, so I'd like to hope that some of them are coming to a reasonable fact based conclusion.
The problem with PJW is that he's a salesman who's opinions are motivated by his sales. I don't think he's even making an attempt at intellectual honesty.
I think some genuinely believe the things they say, but not because they have thought about it but because it feels enough like it's true and makes the world simpler for them. None of these ridiculous conspiracy theories hold up to any scrutiny, they just require you to want to believe them and not scrutinise them.

Alastair Bond actually unfermented soy is not a good quality food to eat, quite a few in nutrition and science believe this and there are plenty of studies, fermented soy is another issue but in the West it is mainly unfermented soy which is eaten here.
