I don't know why so many people concern themselves with estrogen and testosterone levels. They should be really concerned about how out of whack everyone is with the four humours in this century. I had myself tested by my local Apothecary and he said my choleric levels were way below what they should be. Bloodletting and blistering saved my life.
“Well?! You won’t bleed him, you won’t cup him, you won’t divine his humors; for all you charlatans know, this poor man is both phlegmatic and bilious!”
Hot tip, to paraphrase Dara O'brien, if someone calls themselves a "nutritionist" take whatever advice they give you with the biggest grain of salt... There's a reason why they use the title "Nutritionist" instead of the legally protected title "Dietician" because a dietician not only has to earn their title, they can't be self-proclaimed, but also dieticians actually have to present credible evidence and sources to support their claims. It's like the difference between a "Fiduciary" and "Financial Advisor" or a "Dentist" and a "Toothiologist".

I’m a woman and the past 5 years I’ve been working at a sushi restaurant. I eat tons of tofu, I literally drink soy sauce like it’s water and I bathe in miso soup. A year ago I grew a third breast and as of today I’m the proud owner of 2 vaginas.
This is great news for the male to female transgender community! No more need for hormones or surgery, just drown yourself in a tide of soy and vaginas will appear!
This is a five year old video but there is an important topic to be added to this discussion. The original idea that Soy feminizes men comes from White Supremacist beliefs in the 1800's that claimed men from East Asia were more "Feminine" than white men. The view of East Asian men led men in academic institutions to link it to the soy that was a large part of the diet in those cultures, similar to how they used the shape of skulls to "prove" that Black Men were less intelligent than White Men.
I paused at exactly 10:00 and the commentor legitimately wrote "I'm fairly sure also the only heterosexual out of all of them is the asian dude which explains why he has the highest level testosterone." Eugene (The asian guy in question) is gay, he has a husband, and everyone else in the group is straight with wives. This cracked me up
I'm a trans girl and when I heard soy feminized people, I went slightly bonkers and ate like 5 kilos of soy beans and drank about 1 carton of soy Milk. Conclusion: real real REAL bad tummy ache and didn't leave the bathroom for about 8 hours
This is extra funny to me because I’m Chinese and these people never even think about the fact that there are cultures that base their entire diet on soy products.
No no, they think about it a lot. But hear me out for a second, they are racists. They don't care about that because they already think Asian people are worst in some way and therefore see it as a consequence of soy. It's not that they don't think, it's that they are bad at thinking because the knowledge of the world they base their worldviews around is stupid to begin with
You are literally irrational. Like, literally, in every sense of the word, you are objectively not rational. Literally one of the parts of my job is to teach teenagers proof that you're irrational. Maybe step out of this one, root 2.

Me too, but my mind just remember video game stuff Alpha/Beta? I think of a game in early development, Sigma? The (once scary, but then laughable) villain from MegaMan X, Omega? The hilarious robot from Sonic Heroes... And so on, these names are just funny codes to me

This entire sentence is so stupid. It implies that there are disputable facts but a fact cannot be disputable aside from disputes about alternatives to reality (at least as long as we all inhabit the same reality) since the possibility of such an alternative would mean it's not a fact (or at least that we don't know yet).
@@ginkgothestink-o6949 True, it would instead say something like "In all the studies done on the jaundice caused by watching Shrek, we found no conclusive evidence to prove that there is a correlation or that watching Shrek can cause jaundice." I had always figured one of the reasons people assumed soy to be feminizing because of the toxic masculine hatred towards vegetarians, but I suppose that is just one of them

Have you noticed? Silly meaningless SHORT replies always get lots of likes? They've got to be short for slow moving minds. Are you sure that your name is Witt? Ah..2 letters T. That makes it OK.
25:46 also notable thay when reading kosko's article he states that Eugene (the Asian guy) is "probably the only heterosexual" when he's exactly the one that came out as gay last year. They just had to make yet another conclusion based on stereptypes that obviously turned out to be wrong.
I would also like to point out that "nutritionist" isn't a job title or profession. The actual profession you're looking for is "dietitian." People who refer to themselves as "nutritionists" do so because they legally can't describe themselves as dietitians because they don't actually have degrees in anything (at least, not anything related to diet science), and would, therefore, be committing fraud if they did and could be sued or even imprisoned. So, if you see someone calling themselves a "nutritionist," that person is a con artist, and now, you'll know better.
I think it depends where you're from. Here in Australia, one of my best friends has done a uni degree and is a nutritionist. It was a 3 year degree as well so not some random 3 month course.
@@f_yu Many people who are Nutritionists will have degrees, but the original poster is correct that the title of 'Nutritionist' isn't protected by law*. Thank you! I'm studying to be a registered dietitian right now (I've been in college for 4 years and I'm applying to interships so hopefully in a year I can be a dietician). There is actually a push to change the title from Regestered Dietitian to Registered Dietitian Nutritionist so we can seize the title from people who don't know what they're talking about (though many have mixed feelings about it)
Can we all also agree that shrieking about soy is the adult version of “girls are gross and have cooties”? The whole concept that anything feminine is bad is peak misogyny.
Bad take. If it were true, that soy did increase estrogen, there would be plenty of reasons for men to avoid it. Just like how there are reasons many women would not want to take testosterone supplements.
This is the video that got me out of the pipeline. I had seen youtubers i respected and believed say that soy was evil and feminising and accepted it as true, thinking myself as a sceptic for doing so just because the 'SJW's said otherwise. Oh god. Endocrinology is one of the most complex fields of medicine that exist. People have pointed out BMI scores are often a bit sketchy? BMI scores are goddamn stone tablets from God Mountain in relation to the complexity of hormones and their interactions within individual people. Oi.
Eight to twelve years of education and residence to legally help people understand and regulate their unique endocrine systems and health vs. a chart without citations on some alt-right blogs written by some gynophobic dudes? 🤔 What makes you more qualified to talk about estrogen?
I'm transgender, and it's common knowledge in the community (because of HRT self-medication) that estrogen alone won't do SQUAT regarding feminization if you don't take testosterone blockers. Otherwise, testosterone in your body will simply overwhelm any effect estrogens you take might've had.
Exactly. Looking at the average test level is like looking at the average height of a man and thinking your body is fucked up because your genetics made you an inch shorter.
Same on the trans issue: I was gobbling 2 mg of estrogen and a weak dose of spiro (have went to the doctor and gotten a higher dosage) a day for months AND have been on a vegan diet for at least two years whilst still having a dark, coarse beard growing in a matter of an one-and-a-half week with little effects. Will take these claims with a grain of salt or 1-up my game as a ~soy boi~
It's crazy that people think they're more in danger of hormonal imbalance from drinking soy milk than drinking a pregnant mother cows' milk that's meant for her baby, which has ACTUAL mammalian estrogen. Beer has more phytoestrogens than soy, but as we know, phytoestrogens don't affect us like that, but if we're to claim it does, then beer is the least manly thing you could drink.
"omg hhomberguy its a joke take a joke soyboy is all joke" hhomberguy literally shows people in this video who take it seriously and is very obviously making this a response towards people who do actually think its real. The fact that PJW is okay with blatantly manipulating the sources he uses so it fits in with his narrative is surely a bad sign for the rest of his content, regardless of the topic.
Yeah. It's fine to be wrong about stuff that's not your specialty. But you can't use that defense while simultaneously claiming to be presenting the truth.
Kolbe Howard Some of the criticisms towards SJWs are valid, but I find these anti-SJW channels and their followers have become just as easily wound up by things as the people they criticise. The new Star Wars films being "SJW propaganda" seems to be a particularly popular topic of choice at the moment for them.
The thing is, none of these areas are his speciality, because he's never actually studied them in any sort of depth beyond the conspirasphere and blogs. None of these anti-fems and most of the far-right youtubers and the skeptics have any understanding of what they're talking about because most of them haven't studied the topics at all, read any of the relevant material, and those that have studied a hard science, which is all well and good, but that doesn't make you any sort of authority on social sciences or philisophical concepts etc. I still cringe at Armoured Skeptic's "post-modernism" video, and all the other sheep bleeting "cultural Marxist" and "Frankfurt School" who don't know who Adorno is and haven't read any of their work, and then, like PJW, go on to make critiques of modern culture in a similar vein to how the Frankfurt School, particularly Adorno (I think), critiqued it, only they blame those very "Cultural Marxists" for what is actually the fault of neoliberal (I wonder if TL;DR has learned the meaning of this yet) capitalism.
And the fact PJW's work on immigration makes him a borderline-Nazi. The guy is a dye in the wool racist. And I'm someone that gets into arguments with the sjws on my side all the time. PJW is just a racist repugnant piece of shit.

Wait until he hears about potatoes. “Since the invention of agriculture we have been selectively breeding plants to overcome their evolved defenses. Berry bushes were bred for reduced spininess and the berries for reduced toxin concentrations. The history of potato domestication, as described in Johns’s book, is especially instructive. Most wild species of potato are highly toxic, as you might expect, given that they are an otherwise unprotected, concentrated source of nourishment. Potatoes are from the same plant family as deadly nightshade and contain harmful amounts of the highly toxic chemicals solanidine and tomatidine. Up to 15 percent of their protein is designed to block enzymes that digest proteins. Still, a few wild species can be eaten in limited quantity, and edibility can be increased by freezing, leaching out the toxins, and cooking. We enjoy thoroughly edible potatoes today thanks mainly to many centuries of selective breeding by native farmers in the Andes. Concerns about pesticides have recently spurred programs to breed plants that are naturally resistant to insects. This protection is provided, of course, by increased levels of natural toxins. A new variety of disease-resistant potato was recently introduced that did not need pesticide protection, but it had to be withdrawn from the market when it was found to make people ill. Sure enough, the symptoms were caused by the same natural toxins the Andean farmers had spent centuries breeding out. An evolutionary view suggests that new breeds of disease-resistant plants should be treated as cautiously as artificial pesticides are.” - Why We Get Sick: The New Science of Darwinian Medicine

We have so much medical technology dedicated to having kids that there's really no reason to be so worried about something like sperm count.
Drinking soy ≠ feminized men was officially confirmed way before the Infowars nutjob made his video. You'll probably stop breathing the moment any news comes out that air makes people inflate to death.
Fan of skeptic community content watching your vids for the first time. Keep up the good work, we need people like you. The left needs people like you. Please continue shaming bad ideas!
Keep watching, he's got some good ass shit about video games too! It's also nice to see someone who just puts real effort into the 'video' side of 'videos on the internet'
Which skeptics are you into, and which major ideas in that community do you agree/disagree with? I'm always curious about this stuff, none of this is rhetorical.
Check out the Michael Brooks Show on the Majority Report, he's an articulate, intelligent dude who blends humour, wit, insight, knowledge and, perhaps most importantly, nuance as well as makes left wing ideas accessable, understandable and explains concepts that trigger the anti-SJWs in a way that I think a fan of the "Skeptics" would like and understand, and hopefully you'll join the cuckoldry!
And you are a credit to the skeptic community. Too many tend to be ironically unthinking, who just go with their first assumption on things and never let people challenge their views. I'm glad that people like you exist. Even if we might disagree on some things, it's good that we can do so with mutual respect.
So you were mentally ill as a child, and your abhorrent mother didn't realize? Sad. Good thing is that there's still good people who produce rope for you, so you can add to the statistic.
*Anybody* using "soyboy" to insult anybody is a *chimp* (cue agitated chimp sounds) And what defines a chimp? They're territorial, mean-spirited and primitive. Nazis derived their social Darwinism from chimps. What defines a rational human? Well, quite clearly the ability to function *above* the basic needs of a chimp. "Soyboy" is a chimp-level "rebuttal". It's not found in academia or any level of mature and educated debate. I'll tell you another truth. Trying to out-chimp other chimps is never going to lead to any progress of humanity.
My father is very conservative, so is my brother in law and they FARM soy beans. Both are not what someone would call feminine; they are a guy's guy. They eat soy. It doesn't change a thing about them.
@@JoeyCentral Fermented soy products may contain a lesser amount of phytoestrogens, but due to the process of fermentation these are more bioavailable and thus should have an even greater hormonal impact than the ones in unfermented soy.
proud of being delusional I see, you will destroy your body and feel like garbage all the time as that is not how your body is wired, you will be very unhealthy and die much sooner than everyone else (well with the way people are these days, prob relatively soon like them as you have the same unhealthy behaviors, habits and mentalities) and have a worse quality of life, and after that you will possibly get punished in the afterlife, depending on gods judgement of your sins, you are doing self harm, you are hurting yourself and defending that which is your enemy. sadly you can't help lots of people like this, they just don't listen, but their miserable lives are punishment enough, although sad, the 50% rate of unlife shows that enough already, it's unnatural, unhealthy and morally wrong, I say this not of hatred, but wanting others and society to be better.
It's been a while since I first saw this video but the first guy he clips looks like a soy boy cuck look at his eyes he loves soy effeminate fairy boy Edit: bro for real had to go into bodybuilding because he was so fuckin ashamed of his own face every day he looked in the mirror
Innuendo Studio's series called The Alt-Right Playbook actually has an interesting analysis of this kind of mindset, I believe the episode is called The Card Says Moops. Decide people are serious if you want to make fun of them, decide they're joking if you want to make fun of someone else. If you haven't seen it I recommend it, the title of the series may be misleading but its's a good leftist analysis of alt-right techniques.
Minor update: A: "X is true" B: "X is not true, and here is why." A: "Hahaha I was just joking I wasn't being serious stop making me look dumb. Anyway, X is true"
I know this video is **SIX YEARS OLD** at this point, but, I can dream, right? I remember seeing Paul's Soyboy video as a new upload when I was a teenager. I was just beginning to realize that there was a big world out there and it was made easier to fall into the world of Alternative Fact by my parents, who raised me to believe in all KINDS of different forms of nonsense. I specifically remember, as I was beginning to get off of the wild ride back when... well, when this video was uploaded, actually... I watched a PJW video where he mentioned that China's social credit score system was on a track to take over the world, and I remember feeling just... so hopeless. That hopelessness was only matched a few months ago when I FINALLY realized that there's simply no way I can get my parents to see sense, to accept who I am, and to connect on a shared view of how the world fundamentally is... If you *are* reading this, by some miracle, I just want you to know, mate. You're helping.
I used to self harm and have a huge problem dealing with anxiety, but now I lift heavy shit because it makes me feel better. All of these clowns are trying to come up with excuses to convince themselves that their low standards are acceptable because everyone else is either a low testosterone beta or is on juice, meanwhile they never make any steps to improve themselves. I hate seeing these people prey on young men’s insecurities, selling them some wonder solution to a problem they’ve made up.
wouldn't you say that Info war's Brain Force Plus is doing the same thing? They use extremely low quality ingredients and sell for an outrageous price to people insecure about their mental alertness. I think it's good that your trying to improve your body, but perhapses find a few more opinions, look around at what evidence is out there. Be a self-advocate, and you can improve your mind too.
On what planet did I advocate for some goddamn brain juice? I’m p sure I was giving an anecdote into why I find using any sorts of products like that unhelpful. Am I missing something?
Its called growing up, also testosterone levels change over time. I went through the same changes, started working out after college but spent the better half of my life as some insecure, fat & weak. Low standards = being a doormat, and yes being physically weak is a low standard because being physically fit and strong requires hard work and dedication. Its easy to sit in a chair all day, grow fat and/or weak. The clowns with low standards would be the people telling you that its ok....Do you really think being morbidly obese and 400 pounds is having a high standard?
I was doing other things while listening to it in background & just happened to glance up while he was 'trying' to cut thru the cuffs - followed by a wtf?! moment lol
Is that what's meant to be happening? God, I feel so silly now. For months now, I've been trying to decode what's meant to be happening in the background... and it was kidnapping. '='
Drunk Superman actually surprisingly not(or unsurprisingly really), women are more likely to vote progressively on average and their reason for that is because of women and estrogen, it kinda has to be that way to keep the narrative standing up, it has to be women's manifest destiny to vote progressively or there could be ya know, an actual reason. This is also why the mra manosphere types don't think women should get to vote, since they're just "inherently irrational and wrong almost always, because women" That's paraphrasing but you could pretty easily find them saying pretty much exactly that, but why would you subject yourself to that. And if the women agree with them they still don't get to vote, they're just being correctly submissive.
Actually, everyone is aware of the fact that soy or the estrogens aren't the reason for why people are or become liberal. This notion is just a strawman and this guy loves to use them in order to make sense of his strange theories
Yeah, I... I don't see why people believe estrogens _directly_ result in more women identifying as liberal. It's far more likely that more women are liberal or register under liberal parties simply because liberal parties and liberal ideology is generally more supportive to them. None of this is to say that these _are_ the reasons why women typically ID as liberal, it would be hypocritical for me to argue that; it's just what I think is a more _likely_ or more _prominent_ factor related to the correlation.
Worm Driver. Not really. They just did not carry it to Hilary. When 52% of men vote Trump and 54% of women vote Clinton, but Trump wins because of the Electoral Collage. Blaming it on the women is simply unfair.
I mean, it's honestly kind of a fallacy anyways. Of _course_ some women are going to vote republican, no one here is saying that all women fall on the left, so honestly it should be kind of obvious that if all of the women who voted republican voted democrat instead, Hillary would win. At the very least, it seems reasonable to someone who hasn't looked up any statistics as of now. Looking up statistics now, it looks to me like most of the women who did vote for Trump were white; uneducated white women were the only demographic among women to vote in majority for him. (College-educated white women were very much on the fence, but tilted just a little bit towards Hillary) Overall, it honestly seems like a bit of a cop-out to give such a simple claim as "women carried the election", as there are so many other factors to that. (my source is in the next comment)
