Thanks M.J. for these gems. The first numpty is already priceless. He's convinced the EU can't function, and therefore it doesn't. Regardless of the EU stubbornly refusing to collapse, Greece still being there despite having been totally destroyed by the EU.
@@alerojas2952it’s weird isn’t it. How anyone moral that’s blessed with the gift of thought could vote for Brexit is just mental. The media have a lot to answer for. Rupert Murdoch and his billionaire friends need prosecuting along with this current breed of Tory politician. Farage and Johnson should be jailed for treason too. Or executed?
The first caller started by mixing the Eurozone and European Union with each other and then just went downhill from there.. I can’t believe so many in the UK are still on Brexit. Us in the EU moved on ages ago. Stop calling us! 😂
Thank you for putting these together, I'm starting to hear Nicks sound board in everyday conversations Haha. Also one of your musical intros got me into Sleaford Mods so thanks for that too :D
I'm Irish, I enjoy your shows, amusing,I can't imagine that people can't speak English,I no longer live in England, thank god your program has opened my eyes,to the lack of education across the board, from your Humphreys and Charlies, your Bobs Alans, Brians etc.My brain fries.I love it!
Wow! Underrated comment right here. Same can be said for those of us across the pond. Full of scorn & mockery, but insufficient fire in the belly to make a significant difference.
12:50 this caller says in essence that you should be appreciative of your freedoms and respectful they aren't taken away i.e act like they do in those countries or they will make you act like that. wonderful to see we have intelligent brexiteers fighting out corners
If anyone still wonders how the English would relegate their entire country into World-Wide ruinous, financial hilarity need only listen to Nick's show.
"27 countries in the Eurozone..." (there aren't 27 countries in the Eurozone) "They all have different attitudes to education" . Which is why they are all free to enact their own distinct education policies. Mindblowing ignorance. Announced with unshakeable confidence. Dorling-Kindersley effect in ghastly evidence.
1:11:55: Martin from Woodford is actually quite correct about the common swift. Except for laying, they do fly basically _always_, they even sleep airborne.
“The big freeze” was not what scientists thought was going to happen. It was from one paper that was sensationalized by the media. Anyone who doesnt know this and uses it to argue a point should be embarrassed.
1:12:30 in response to Nick's query about pigeons. I believe the reason why so many are missing a foot is because they walk in their own feces which is corrosive and it burns them off after some time. I don't know why they only lose one foot though, as I doubt they would be able to figure out the cause of the loss of their first foot.
@@weezer5442 Neither do I what? Not know? I cannot remember where I first heard it, but there is a wonderful invention out there called the world wide web. Why not look it up for yourself? That way you could have responded in a way that made you come across as a smart individual rather than just a smart a**e.
I demand to self identify as Tuesday morning. Please don't be horrible. Its my right to be whatever I feel like. I also don't like people who identify as items of furniture...especially radiators.
One of the main reasons some odd Brits are so upset by the euro is simply that the euro surpassed the pound and only the dollar is ahead of the euro. The euro is then followed by the Yen and then by the pound. About 22 years "old" now and doing well but still a pain in the arse for some Brits. To quote the Wikipedia: "The euro is the second-largest reserve currency as well as the second-most traded currency in the world after the United States dollar.[7][8][9][10][11] As of December 2019, with more than €1.3 trillion in circulation, the euro has one of the highest combined values of banknotes and coins in circulation in the world". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro
While I respect Nick in many ways, he needs to stop claiming that £250,000 per year are 'expenses', implying (incorrectly) that MPs receive this personally. RUBBISH. MPs offices are run like small business units, meaning they need to pay for... constituency office rent, gas, electric, related taxes and... here's the kicker... staffing salaries to deal with 'minor matters' like casework, helping constituents. Those 'expenses' paid for my rent, food, transport and other such luxuries. Funny that. Gaslighting indeed. I despise knee jerk and misrepresentation - on All sides. Facts are important (I know, SO old fashioned!).
Fair, certainly the dodgy expenses claims deserve far more attention. Also hiring your wife/daughter/etc to work in your office for fifty grand or more...were your relatives REALLY the most qualified and suitable applicant to the job?
