Comparison between two Nicks Handmade Boot leather options.
Both boots are:
- 11067 Last
- 6” height
- Moderate heel height
- Dogger heel profile
One boot is Horween Natural Dublin. The other boot is Wickett & Craig Milled Buck Brown. Both are Veg Tan.

All of your videos have been worth while and always with information for someone to take away with them. I’m not a big fan of the one comment “you need to make long form videos”. Do what you want. I’ll take what I can get. I appreciate all of your videos.

I think it's very much worthwhile. Anyone wanting to know these differences need to see your comparisons and will surely appreciate them. Perhaps show them in the shade, like you did here, and in the sun both, JIC that might show something to note, too. The color is very close, like you mentioned. For the first 5 seconds I thought they were a pair of boots sitting there and then you were going to bring out the other pair to compare...LOL.

That’s funny about thinking they were same! The general tone is close. In person you can see that milled buck brown is slightly darker and has the milled texture.

Hello there, I appreciate your work making this video.From people like you we are learning things we can’t get from Nick’s. I want to ask you about the 67 last.I am wearing for many years RW Iron Rangers and I am happy with the fit.I don’t know what is the last , but toe box is a bit tall.I am wondering how 67 fits for an everyday wearing boots.Both with digger hill and the block one. As per your experience. Thanks!

I have a Red Wing Iron Ranger (posted a video about them) in 11D. When they were new they felt super tight, but over the years they broke in and feel good. I am wearing Nicks 11067 in 11E, however I wear a thinner sock. If I were to wear a thicker sock like I did with my Iron Ranger, I they would feel too tight I believe. Let me swap from my Prospectors into my IR and contrast the fits.

@@EDHBlvd Thanks for your immediate reply and detailed answer, I am wearing all my IR 10.5 D, but it looks like my size is E. The stretched enough so I don’t have any problem. I will order probably wide E with Nicks. Thinking to choose between 11067 classic arch and 55 last classic arch. The tall toe box looks a bit too tall and more narrow. 55 with standard toe probably will be better.

Very good. I need to make a video on them. Might finally condition them. I’ve literally never conditioned them. Just brushed and spilled things on them 🤣🤣

Yes I ordered it with all eyes. I hate how the back of speed hooks tear up the kilties. I kind of prefer all-eyes on a 6” or shorter boot.

I’ll try to get motivated. I got some comments to make more “my old boots” videos. I had planned for those to be a series so I need to get my act together and review my old Wolverine 1000 Mile and Frye boots.

All Nicks boots are just adjustments of variables. You could call these a Robert built on an 11067 Last and with a moderate (lower) heel. Normally Roberts are built on a 55 Last with Classic heel. Or you could call it a Prospector built with a 2 piece back-stay (instead of a single piece). I like to call them Prospector’s myself, because the 11067 Last and Moderate Dogger heel are the key components.

@@brandonrogers4415 I wish Nicks would offer the Double Shot or Oiled Latigo leathers with the 11067 Last, but they stopped. I guess the leather would tear when lasting the toe.
