Nick Cave's Into My Arms | Solo Guitar Arrangement 

Whoever is listening to this should read the lyric. My wife said that this was the most beautiful song that she had ever heard. Sadly she passed away a few years ago at the young age of 55 with an inoperable grade 4 glio blastomer brain tumour. From initial diagnosis she lasted just a few months. The song was played at her funeral. It was interesting asking the vicar to play the music because of the opening line, “I don’t believe in an interventionist god”. The vicar was so taken with the song that instead of playing it as people walked in, he waited for them all to be seated so that they could listen to the entire song. I guess most people hadn’t heard the song before and certainly got them thinking.

I've always loved The Bad Seeds/Birthday Party/Grinderman and all things Cave related, but I'm a bit intimidated by trying to learn any of their guitar parts. Blixa and Roland were each such abstract players that relied more on texture and atmosphere than any sort of conventional "rock guitar" stylings. It's kinda hard to know where to begin with this stuff. You did an excellent interpretation of this, though, as usual!

Stumbled upon this channel just a few days ago. Found this video and quickly picked up my Telecaster and was playing my own version of this arrangement within an hour or so. Slapped on a bit of reverb, and it sounds so good. Looking through your previous videos, there's definitely a lot of great lessons and tunes on here (Slint!) that I'm looking forward to getting into.
