He's innately cynical and an asshole. Other people are naturally quick and funny like Ant, but Nick's shit is visceral anger with the side effect of funny.

Never listened to Opie & Anthony, but Tough Crowd was one of the best comic shows ever. It was there I became familiar with Nick and Jimmy, and of course Patrice, Colin, and Vos. Were I Ruler of the World, that show would have run ten seasons, and expand it to sixty minutes.
To be fair, Maxwell actually did _not_ laugh at Louis' joke. Stansbury was the one who laughed. You can hear Maxwell immediately object to the joke by saying _"Aww... now, see that right there... Stansbury thinks that's funny..."_ while Stansbury was doing the laughing. (5:30). Maxwell didn't laugh at it at all.
True. Maxwell did not laugh at Louis’s joke. I still, though, think Maxwell should’ve called Louis out on the joke genuinely the way it truly upset him and should’ve told Louis how he found it to be offensive, rather than following up Louis’s joke with a joke of his own about Eric Clapton that he told in a rollicking, joking tone of voice. Attacking Louis AFTER Louis hangs up doesn’t give Louis a chance to defend the joke and is (for lack of a better word), cowardly for a talk show host to do.

Please for the love of God stop spamming the comments of every O&A video with "Opie sucks" stuff. I don't even disagree, but it's non-stop literally everywhere all the time. We get it, you're hearing this stuff for the first time and you don't like him. No one cares, it's just annoying as hell.
