Rick Graham not as amazing as your music, but it's o.k. this song should've been called "ghost of the robot graveyard ", not that jazz piece. just my opinion
I love the way you stick with the beautiful melody for most of the song and don't go shred crazy just for the sake of it-it makes the other passages you play so much more effective and adds greatly to the emotion of the piece-well done
I don’t know why but the ending section where the guitar goes crazy and the music is really uplifting and melodic it makes me emotional. Like the guitar is crying out exploding music into the atmosphere. It’s so beautiful
This is fantastic taste and playing. That took me from Jeff Buckley to Opeth with hints of very mindful and intelligent shredding. You've got yourself a new fan !
Nick you have quickly became my favorite player. You have IT!!! Your playing has made me pick my guitar back and start playing again because I want to play like NICK JOHNSTON. Your awesome man, keep it up.
He's going to inspire the next generation of players. Even if you can't shred like he can, his compositions show you don't need to be able to shred to create the kind of music he has created. Absolutely stunning melody and harmony
Mind blowing and phenomenal. Not a guitarist, or just a guitarist, or even just a guitar god, but a *musician*, to the level that so few are. Deserves views and likes in the millions, not the thousands.
the guitar is just an extension of your soul. Dude you play with so much feeling, just watching you play gives me inspiration. awesome stuff, you definitely have your .own style
The more I listen to this song the better it gets. Really amazing and deep. I love how as a guitarist you didn't skimp on the bass and drums and made this a full on ass kicking masterpiece.
Way Way more emotion then grabbing a guitar and just wastefully and distastefully shredding away !! Excellent fukn song man this is fukn amazing brings back memories!!!!!
Limit3r I daresay you will obtain legendary status, although you already have... As long as you stay pure with what you're doing , who could even say? What a player!
Saw your performance on Keith Merrow's channel. Just wow. So in love with the way you control the instrument. Exceptional feel, beautiful tone, and fantastic technique to support it all) You've got a new fan, sir.
Been watching the BBC Sherlock series, and the theme music reminds me of Nick. Something about the arrangement, the chords, the melody, just feels like something he might have composed. I don't expect it to happen, but it would be cool to hear Nick do a cover of it. It would also be an opportunity for another creative video.
Yes...fantastic tone...great phrases and sense of melody..and aforementioned..shredding at random and not throughout the whole song..reminds me a bit like Roy Buchanan...I call it ..breath of fresh air guitar playing....after listening to so many shredders...fantastic..
My favourite instrumentalists are ones who balance Technicality and Melody, there's few solo guitarists I can listen to a lot of, but you've got that balance down perfectly.
Truly great playing! Yesterday I tried these Schecter USA for the firts time. It was simply mindblowing, beautiful guitars. 3700 euros though, way over my budget! But man, they were great!
Nick has an amazing tone, great pickups and distortion.. for a tone like this you can buy his Seymour Duncan Antiquity Texas Hot pickups.. gorgeus pickups!
