butterball human um no it's not. Have you all forgotten about guitarists like synister gates and Ben Bruce. The sad part is though that lil Wayne and nick Jonas get more credit and are more popular.
Nick Jonas's Solo was actually more of a solo that sounds good until he makes those errors including 2 missed notes and a choked bend, Lil Wayne's Solo on the other hand was not even close to sounding like an actual guitar solo, it sounds more like something a child would play
jonas looks like he can play and prob just got nervous or brain farted during that clip. lil wayne looks like he has no idea what he's doing but thinks it sounds good
That's a tough one! Although Lil Wayne killed it with that highly intricate solo filled with lightning fast triplets, ascending and descending arpeggios, and mode mixing, Nick Jonas blew my mind when he integrated muffled and sometimes missed altogether notes into his profoundly innovative solo. It's a toss up! I'm stumped!
I picked Nick Jonas for 2nd place because at least he practiced the solo a few times, despite unsuccessfully trying to distract us from the missed notes using his awkward attempts at the cool, guitar solo poses - whereas Lil Wayne’s attempts at making cool guitar solo facial expressions could not distract me from the fact that he’s just ass ❤
@@JohnHWelch63 I changed my mind, after reviewing the video; yes, it’s a tossup for sure. I don’t know what I was thinking. Can you imagine if the two of them got together for a night? Stripped back, no band or distracting backing tracks; just them sitting on stools, both of them on nylon string classical acoustic guitars? Music would never be the same for any of us - it would be truly life-changing 😍
lil Wayne’s genuine pride and joy and absolute faith in his prowess is what makes his priceless. Jonas knew he’d screwed up and that’s nothing to mock. But when a guy thinks he’s amazing and he’s not it’s pretty hilarious.
that makes his worse in my opinion. lol. jonas probably practiced his and somewhat plays the guitar he shouldnt mess up something that easy. nerves or not
Nick jonas's sounded like what every beginner guitarist plays when they just start to learn how to improvise. Boring and generic. At least you can say you haven't heard anything like lil wayne's lmao
Ill give nick jonas this as a guitarist myself. He was actually playing a decent slow solo, it wasnt until he hit a dead note that he began to crumble. I know from experience that hitting one note can lead to fumbling the whole solo. Cut him some slack Now, lil wayne, bros just a fucking god, we cant comprehend his musical prowess.
0:11 That spot on timing and immaculate picking is so amazing that it's a little TOO perfect to be believed. My guess is that it was corrected to perfection in real time by a supercomputer behind the scenes.
Funny how nick's solo wasn't even difficult at all and he still fucked up. I mean it started with bending the same fret 4 times and then who knows but obviously anybody could play that. And I know everyone messes up but a good guitar player can play through mistakes so that no one knows because they have the ability to think quickly and improvise.
What the frick was Wayne doing to that poor guitar? I would never do that witchcraft to my guitar. Jonas on the other hand, at least had some sympathy from most people. It was a big mistake tho
See people aren’t realizing that you can clearly see Jonas knows how to play he holds the guitar somewhat right but lil Wayne looks like he was just handed a guitar for the first time and told to go on stage and use it. Stop comparing them there’s a massive difference
The cheering during Lil Wayne's solo shows how musically blind brain dead his fans are as well, and most of them sounded like girl screams...says a lot, doesn't it?
Whoever believes in evolution is wrong. We are devolving, not evolving. It went from Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour and a whole lot more to this. I decree this as the night lord of our universe. Goodnight everyone.
Honestly props to nick jonas, the solo sounded pretty good up until the mistakes, but it shows that his guitar was actually plugged in which is something many artists would be scared to do
Nick Johnson That's what I was trying to point out in my comment earlier. These two guys suck at guitar. Nick Jonas did this for the shock value, to draw attention to himself. It amazes me how the people who call European power metal cheesy are the same ones who listen to this mainstream b.s. It becomes the talk of the town when someone who wants people to buy their albums will do something like this to draw attention to themselves. Chances are, if you see the artist on Vevo on RU-vid, it's probably crap music.
