I've lived my whole life here in the Pacific Northwest, from the back country of Spokane county to the Columbia River gorge, from the magic of the Palouse to Dry Falls. This land has captured my heart and it is so rewarding to understand some of what I have seen. There is magic in these hills.

Young Creek Falls outside of Snohomish seems to be a very unique waterfall the way it cuts through the rock. Might be interesting for you.

So what protected the Steamboat structure from being eroded away like the rest of the box canyon when the floods went through? Both sides were taken away but not the island in the middle.
