I’ve owned a pair of Nicks for about 2 years. They’re builder pros 10” and breaking them in was a bear, but they’ve lasted without any issues other than laces being replaced more frequently than other boots.

My Urban Loggers are apparently very similar to Builder Pros. Great boots!

I bought a pair of Truman Black Waxed Flesh Boots made in Eugene OR. They were $480. A little less $$ than Nicks, Whites or Wescos and the quality is right up there with the big name boots!

Btw. Let your boots dry off before putting in shoe trees. Trees can lock in moisture in the midsole that can lead to mold developing. Contrary to popular belief.

The kilties are used to protect the thin soft leather of the tongue, (and also to cushion your ankle) from the laces.

Hello Bradley, great boots brother, the on thing i wear every day is boots , i just love that the do almost every thing and keep my feet safe warm and dry, i have police riot boots, mountain boots and military boots, maybe a bit weird to some, but i love them.

Rose Anvil May have reviewed these previously. He cuts them in half down the middle. Appreciate your review on these when it comes out.

I have nerve damage in my right foot and I can’t wear anything with an elevated heel. I have a pair of Thorogood wedge style work boots that are awesome! They’re almost like sneakers.

Kilties will take away the discomfort or pain from tightening the laces. Highly recommend

My boots were second hand and didn't have the kilties included, but I ordered a pair from Nicks. I like them!

Wore red wings and muck boots for my two years of concrete work....would love a pair of Wesco engineer boots for work and on my Harley but they are so expensive and hard to get

Who is the maker of the padded knee pants at the start of the video? I have Nicks Builder Pro, many pairs of Wesco Jobmaster and JK's. My JK's I probably like the best. They are 18 inch insulated shafts, lace to toe, black rough out leather, honey vibram boots. The problem with Wesco is the wait time. I ordered a new pair of Jobmaster in January and bet I won't get them until Feb next year. I sent a pair for a rebuild about 3 weeks ago. Maybe a 3 month wait on those too.

Sounds like you have a great selection of boots there! The work pants I was wearing were these: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BNZ8D8K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My collection of "Heritage Boots" has grown exponentially over the years. I only have one set of Nick's and really do like them. I think the naming is kind of odd with the "Urban Logger" being near the apex. What even is that? That being said, they are a fine boot, though I do not wear them for work as they would be a bit odd in a Courtroom.

Haha! Yeah, they're a little beefy for that. I think they're supposed to be a fusion of city and outdoor boots, but they're so burly that I wouldn't really wear them outside of work.

You need the kiltties or false tounges so that when you tighten them down the hooks don’t dig into your feet.

Thr extreme weight is no joke. It's a deal breaker for working all day or hiking more than 3 miles. Super tough. well made boots, but 6 pounds disqualifies them as work boots for most people.
@stuffandthingsyoutube
@stuffandthingsyoutube 8 месяцев назад
Maybe. I do have to say that I got used to them after a couple of days and no longer notice the weight. YMMV though!

Use the false tongues they are there for a purpose.
