I've never been a massive fan of builds that mix CCBS pieces with original Bionicle pieces, but these revamps get the perfect blend of both and I actually really like how they look. Theu almost feel like titán sets with how much bigger and more detailed they are, I've been impressed by every single one these so far and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest

Even just putting those ice shoulder pieces on the sides instead does SO much, and the diaphragm joint is such a good idea too 😎

I tried to rebuild this mod from the other clips you could see in the mod videos (i basically tried to rebuild all your shown glatorian mods with stronius being the absolut hardest to do) and i did Strakks torso kinda different becasue i couldnt wrap my head around how you did it lol. i love these mods an they are decorating my most prominent shelves.

Dang I really liked the Glatorian line. Something about them seemed more action figure-y in terms of looks than older sets.

I stayed up an extra few hours to wait for this to drop, and I don't regret it, sleep deprivation be damned.

If I were to do my own MOC of Strakk, I'd definitely agree on him being like a Nordic warrior, both in Temperament and Personality. You really did make him look most ferocious!

I really love the Inika foot piece resembling rips. Never would have come up with that idea quite honestly. And this nordic touch is great. Now I wanna see Gelu with an arctic explorer touch and I'm in love.

Just finished recreating this build yesterday, and it really does look outstanding! The skeleton is nearly identical, but I made use of some System pieces to fill out a few more gaps and modify his shield. His calves are solid now, which I did using simple slanted white bricks, though that meant I had to do away with the icy studs (it’s just as well, I didn’t have enough for both the arms and legs until I did this anyway). The shield I’m especially proud of; I was able to use some white plates and one of those round, bulging circular plates to give the front a symmetrical look, and I managed to actually combine it with his old Thornax Launcher! Strakk was the first Glatorian I got as a kid, and definitely among my all-time favorite Bionicle figures, and I’m glad to finally do him justice with this titan-esque revamp. Great stuff!

That axe makes me want to build an icy version of Billy Blaze, the firefighter from Rescue Heroes from Fischer Price. He carried a backpack with a chopping axe

I kind of like how the Glatorians switched up the pattern of Inika builds a bit.

This is the reason why everyone loves bionicle it’s because the Mocs it make it muscular designs ✊🏼👍🏼

I also tried modding my Strakk, or more accurately, I tried making a new character using mostly Strakk's pieces. The idea was a Toa of Ice who betrayed his team and got exiled to the North Pole thousands of years ago. He started loosing some of his bulk, and parts of his body began to permanently freeze over. Also of course his age made him acquire Strakk's hunched back. I started by getting rid of all of Strakk's dark blue pieces. In my eyes white + dark blue evokes more of a "comfy" cold, like going out in winter but wearing a thick anorak. This character should have nothing comfy about him, the color scheme should make you shiver by just looking. For an even greater effect I'd have to buy Matoro Inika's trans light blue bones. I also added some of Thok's "white" pieces, which aren't actually white but a color BrickLink calls "very light bluish grey", and it made him look less like a robot with a freshly polished white paintjob and more like a guy who's spent multiple millenia in the snow. It made him kinda "dirty" looking. But I never managed to find the right amount of "lankyness". You have done that perfectly! I think if I try again I'll try at a slightly larger scale, just like you. I just doubt I have enough small pieces to fill the gaps and make connections, especially in the color scheme.

15 yo me in 2009 would have loved this so much. I remember owning all the glatorian from the first wave back then. I invited a girl over because we were dating at the time, she ran home once she saw my bionicle collection.

I'm really liking these mods, so much so that I'm trying to mod Skrall in the same style, I've got the arms and legs figured out, might tweek them some more, but that torso is tricky much like Strakk's

Wow, this Strakk mod is really cool. It's ice to see all the changes you made. I'm glad you didn't go too far with this one. You Metus in the middle with the changes. He really looks like he gives people the cold shoulder. Anyways, there's snow more puns I can think of, so I'll chill out. All puns aside, I really like this mod. Might be my favorite of the ones you've shown so far, except for maybe the Ice Mammoth Battleship

Hey I just wanted to say I love you’re content. LEGO has been a big part of my childhood and you’ve said some very nice things about the themes I care about. Now I also really got into Metroid recently and watched your videos on that too. Now I can’t stress enough that I don’t want you to feel forced or do anything that you’re not currently in the mood to do, but I just think you’d have a lot to say about the recently released Metroid dread. Again, you in no way have to do this, it would just be nice to see another fan just talk about Metroid. Especially one this important and close to becoming a major success. Anyways that’s about it. And if you don’t, that’s fine too. Love you’re content Nick, keep up the great work.

A while back I ended up giving his axe to the 2015 Kopaka set. I am glad that they took the opprotunity to give a figure such a wicked weapon. Sad to say that Strakk is a set I never got during the initial run though

Okay I liked the others, but this one showed an incredible amount of imaginative building techniques. I have been trying to mod some of my own Bionicles, mostly starting with the 2015 Toa due to their very modular CCBS build.
