He also gives a review of the car, talks about why he was drawn to the E46 M3, and future plans for the car. i have an e46 m3, converted it to manual, not because i hated the smg, the smg was excellent. thought it was the smg system, turned out to be the gearbox not the pump/electronics

It’s such a shame with such good engineering the subframe wasn’t engineered properly.

The fact that you were able to weld all of that in yourself is nothing short of amazing. The subframe being toast + the rust essentially totalled that car if you would have taken it to a shop. Easily $10k or more worth of repairs.

I think that is diff bushing clonking the one on subframe make sure is tight 21 millimeters socket

Just come across your channel, i have the same car with issues fixed like yours! One of the best mods i have is a purple tag steering rack, quicker rack than the green tag. not sure what us cars got standard?

Nice video! Also that clunk holy shit how does it happen? U went to 2d and then what was just rolling or giving it gas on and off my 02 SMG tho does not so that but in setting 6 and hard shift I get a huge bang shifting lol

That was giving it gas. I’m sure my diff could be freshened up and I think the reinforcements in the rear amplify the clunk.
