Watch the final seconds of the 2010 BCS National Championship Game at the Rose Bowl as the Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Texas Longhorns to win their first title with Nick Saban as head coach.
@@detectif1061 imagine thinking one good season from kalen deboer means he is the next nick saban which had a team of players that he didnt even recruit at washington not counting those wins at those lower level schools
I drove 5 hours to watch this game at the Rose Bowl. One of the best days for a college football fan. The Bama fans were respectful the Texas fans not so much.
We got so close to Alabama & Texas in the national title game this season. Unfortunately both got taken out in the playoffs. That being said, in an alternate universe both Bama and Texas did make the national title game this season. Not only that but Alabama wins, plus Nick Saban still retires. He would have came into Bama winning the natty and leaving Bama winning the natty, against the same team, Texas. That’s what could have been, we got so close to that, that’s how it should have happened.
Alabama was only up 24-21 with 3 minutes left against a true freshman QB and Texas had the ball. Also, Saban is 0-1 vs healthy Texas QB’s that have played the full game.
Texas was gonna beat bama starting in 2023 several times even if Saban was still gonna be there but now that he gone we might not see bama beat an elite team ever in most of our lifetimes.
The birth of a dynasty and we had to get through that dynasty to win the first playoff and he won his last championship by destroying us it not going to be the same without Nick he was the big boss , the last video game boss , the old man who doesn't give you the candy you want but instead give you butterscotch candy just to shut you up
It's no mystery or conspiracy why those 2 teams were put in over FSU. No assumptions needed: #1. Loss of starting QB. #2. Scored 16 pts vs #14 Louisville #3. Strenth of schedule 55 vs 5 ...FSU were left out for the same reason 13-0 Liberty was left out. The bowl games were a reflection of that in both cases.
Nah it’s cuz of favoritism, first of all if fsu went in they would’ve been absolutely obliterated by any team they went up against. Bama deserved it more for sure. College football isn’t scripted of made up, if anything is it’s nfl football thats rigged.
That’s not it. First, there is more pride in college football as opposed to the NFL. That is one reason. The southern states are also better at football for a number of reasons which causes the southern schools to get the best talent. This causes a cycle of good players to gravitate towards the southern schools when being recruiting. If all of the other schools could catch up, other parts of the country would care more for college football. USC, ND, Michigan, and OSU are all teams not located in the south that are very popular within their region of the country whenever these teams are good. The issue with other parts of the country is that they are fair weather college football fans. They only care if their team wins. Look at Michigan. Their fans only started caring when they became a good team. No one was screaming “Go Blue” when they had Brady Hoke or Rich Rodriguez. It’s the way college football is. Do not be upset just because the south is better at something than others. It only makes you look feeble minded and petty.
@staygoldpunnyboy It's a school why would a National League team fail there when it can use that school as an academy after the draft picks of course...your system seems mad in ways but do love the draft system gives the weakest players the best pick of next year's college players...
And now he retired bc he knows everyone can not only pay players but it’s now not against the rules that was it for Saban ironically the NIL and transfer portal ruined him and forced him into retirement.
@@staygoldpunnyboythe only ones bama has are with Nick Saban. Before him and after him just bad years after bad years it’s time to live that again enjoy the dark times
@@savagetigerfbfan6673 Alabama had some down times before Saban for sure, but Alabama has 18 national championships. You were very wrong when you claimed the only championships they have are with Saban. Do some research lol
