You "expect" Saban to out-coach Harbaugh, especially? The guy that has been successful in the NFL vs the guy that was a bust there...Saban doesnt "out-coach" other coaches, he has a roster of 5 star players, 3 deep. Thats how he wins.
@@nickcampbell2222 9-7 - first year 6-10 second year. Bolted back to the College ranks. Saban also struggled at Michigan State. Saban is a great coach but he was bad in the NFL once they figured him out.
@@danoneall4013 had a great run with the browns as DC. If you're going to include history gotta include all of it, not just the ones that back your argument.
Disagree with that, Bama players wanted it as much as Michigan. As for Saban getting outcoached I wouldn’t really say that either cause Bama made the adjustments at halftime and they had more game control until Milroe fumbled the ball. Michigan players just made more plays to outlast Bama at the end
@@kevinchavis2755what game did you watch. Michigan by far had more game control. Take away the special teams flaws and this is a two score Michigan win.
@@thejuniors5345 Michigan won the 1st half, after halftime Bama gained steam running the ball and while not dominating they had more control of the game until about 6 minutes in the 4th quarter. Rewatch the game or least highlights and you’ll see that
They want to talk like it has to do with the coaches but in my opinion a lot of it has to do with the players. Michigan bullied Alabama at that line. I hate to say it since I’m obviously a Buckeye but I’m proud of Michigan. They looked great. They represented the Big10 really well. I don’t think Washington has it in them to not get blown out.
@Bowhunterohio Michigan is the toughest team in the country this year. I've had them favored to win it all since about mid-season but Penix Jr is a problem and a different type of qb to scout against. Gonna be hard for him if his O-line gets dominated though. I think Michigan wins by 8.
I think he also knows that the gap between the SEC and the B10 has closed considerably as a result of NIL and the transfer portal. I think he realizes the days of SEC domination are behind him.
@@Starwarman1sec has always been the premier conference in college football. UGA Bama LSU Auburn Florida all with multiple championships. Stay recruiting 5s and sending most the the nfl. Sec has always been superior to any conference.
Yes he was outcoached. All the Michigan pre snap motions and shifts confused the Alabama defense. Michigan's defense was tenacious! Why are people not talking about Michigan's #55 on defense, he was having his way with Alabama offensive line men.
@@bigmilly5445this game was a defensive struggle, with the difference being the Michigan pass rush consistently getting pressure. Bama defense was elite this year but I do think Michigan’s is the overall best D.
Both defenses are very good, Bama has first round talent at the corners while Michigan doesn’t. Scheme and Michigans line helped their lesser corners out. Against Washington, this will more challenging, MP is a beast.
He wasn't out-coached. Michigan was a better team. It was only a game because Michigan special teams were a disaster yesterday. But keep dreaming the SEC is so much better than everyone else.
@@jeremyking9185what goes up must come down….u can’t lie, Saban looks and coached like he’s past his prime……I bet no contract extension after this year 😅
Recruiting is Nick Saban's strength not game planning and in game coaching. He proved that in the NFL when talent level is equal he isn't a great coach. He wins in college by having a much better roster than everyone else.
Where are all the Alabama Fan at now???? If Alabama had won it would be a million of streams on RU-vid talking how great Alabama is and how Michigan was not good enough to win. The only thing I hear is crickets........Ha Ha Ha
Michigan simply executed plays better than bama. All the low snaps set the qb up for failure. Even the last play of the game was a low snap. Blocking and tackling was better on Michigan's side of the ball. Yes Harbaugh confused bama but Michigan's players dominated the line of scrimmage.
@mauricejenkins2819 On pass protection they were, but Bama's run-blocking was solid, especially the 2nd half. When you adjust Milroe's sack yardage from the rushing total, Bama had over 200yds rushing!
Paul Finebaum must have forgotten that Texas blew out Alabama in Tuscaloosa, and the narrative today about that Sugar Bowl is pretty ridiculous, seeing as how Washington never trailed the entire game
Easy to scheme when you have all the signs. This was even explained live on air and his school imposed the suspension. Anyways grats to mich. Not the kids' fault.
@@ChrisMusson-kv8ph can't pretend like it didn't happen in the past. As for this game? You think preparing for a team who is a known cheater doesn't change things? These kids couldn't even study the way they typically do. They had to change because mich was stealing signs... Even if it didn't happen for this game it's still a huge integrity issue and resulted in teams having to prepare for THAT.
I watched the Alabama defense simply run out of gas late in the fourth quarter and into the OT period . Michigans special teams were not good and almost cost them the game . Michigans offense and defense looked solid when they had to be . Extra points , field goals and the return guys need to be better . It should be a great game against Washington. Hard to predict the winner but Washington looks very solid and will be tough to beat .
Bama's defense was solid the 2nd half, up until the last 4 minutes! When you are going consecutive 3-and-outs and fumbling the ball, you can't expect the D to not eventually break at some point, and it did!
You’re high if you think Washington has the more complete team. Michigan got caught in the headlights the first quarter. Alabama has been the dominant most of those young kids football lives. Once they felt what Alabama was about and got settled we did what we had to do.
@abercrom21guy Michigan is going to have to score points to win this match-up. Though I see Michigan's front being capable of slowing what Penix Jr and Washington like to do somewhat on offense, I still see them being able to put points on the board like they did against Texas. Texas's front is as good as Michigan's, and they weren't able to affect Penix Jr much ar all. When it comes down to it, Penix Jr and that receiving core are simply too good! Add to that, the ability of O-coordinator Grubb to keep the defense constantly guessing and reacting, and the Huskies are simply too explosive on offense. Michigan's offense will possibly have to score at least 30pts to give them a chance to win this. I see Washington winning this game, possibly comfortably, and claiming a well-deserved championship!
Naturally Finebaum doesn’t give Michigan any credit for having good players. His rhetoric was Alabama messed up. Alabama’s offensive line didn’t play good. Alabama’s coaches didn’t make the adjustments. He reluctantly said that Michigan MIGHT be the best team in the country after he’s been saying for quite a while that the only way they were winning because they cheated.
LOL, as a Michigan fan up until the final 4th QTR drive thought that Bama was outcoaching Michigan in the 2nd half after getting dominated in the first half. Who pays the salaries for these ‘commentators’?
And you beat Maryland 31-24. So what's your point. TCU beat you last year and we dismantled them in the championship. We beat the breaks off you 2021 and would've done so again this year. Y'all talking a lot of crap and you haven't won the Natty yet, don't be disappointed!
I just wish we could’ve played Iowa in our championship game. And had Ohio State as our toughest opponent in the regular season. Would’ve been undefeated like Michigan for sure.
@@breakhal We are talking about this year , not the past . Accept the loss with a little class and stop your crying. Bama should have never been in the top four and Michigan proved it . Bama was confused , outplayed and outcoached. Bama proved that they couldn't compete in most other divisions .
This goes to show you how great Jim really is. He don’t recruit anywhere near OSU or Alabama. But yet he still wins. If he would’ve gotten rid of Don Brown earlier then he did, his record would’ve looked better because Brown sucks. Saban is great because he’s the best recruiter in the country. When he had to coach with mediocre players he couldn’t achieve.
This is a ridiculous statement. Harbaugh isn’t great. His record speaks for itself: he’s good, but hardly great. Saban, on the other hand, has a record that proves he is the GOAT. He’s done it with multiple coaches and players for a long time, so please. Sell that nonsense elsewhere.
@@oleboy7615 Harbaugh brought an under recruited team to the playoffs 3 years in a row and is going to the Natty. He brought an NFL team to the Super Bowl and almost won. Saban in the NFL: Fired.

I do think Saban should've called a timeout on the 4th and 2 deep in Michigan territory so the D would be ready. This could've forced Harbaugh to use a Timeout as well or maybe change his mind and punt. If UM doesn't convert it would've been ball game. Why does it have to be outcoached? Players make plays. Can we just accept this was a 50/50 game and tip our caps to Michigan? This is the best Michigan team in 75 years or maybe ever. If Bama had won I'm sure they trash Harbaugh over the flea flicker? Bama had shut down the Michigan Offense for 20 minutes in the 2nd half. Michigan was looking for a spark w/ that call. I'm a lifelong Bama fan(over 45yrs) It showed me that Michigan's Senior laden team refused to lose. I want to send congrats to Michigan and their fans. I think both fanbases had to see it to believe it. They know how big of a hurdle Alabama is. They deserve to be proud and excited. My only advice is focus on the task in front of you. Washington's Offense looks insane. Good luck Wolverines!
I have to say in general Alabama fans are some of the classiest fans out there. I’ve seen it all over comment sections today and in person with Alabama fans I know. Go blue!
If you're happy with the Saban result, I truly love it! I understand that this is your coping mechanism but since the selection committee arrangements Michigan's coach wasn't qualified to hold Saban's toothbrush. So now all the big mouths have to atone... Saban was spotted at least 11 points and still lost? As far as Washington is concerned the QB and head coach have been in the Big Ten for three or four years prior so I'm sure they got this...look at it this way, if Michigan can beat Alabama they can beat anybody. My only advice is to enjoy fishing and Life!

A 5th year Senior 3 star can play w/ any 5 star that is 2-3 years younger. Transfer portal might be the answer to Bama/UGA top 2 yearly recruiting classes. I never felt comfortable in this game. It's not an excuse when I feel Saban should've called a timeout. With the game on the line you want your best play call. Alabama should've sold out on the play. I was hoping of a Fire Blitz since you have 2 NFL corners and a true freshman star at Safety(Caleb Downs) Does Harbaugh change his mind? Not likely. You could tell that Bama was confused on the play. Being a bama fan, I have to agree that Saban got outcoached. Seemed like he didn’t trust Milroe passing in big moments in this game and didn’t stick to our gameplan. We took Michigan for granted it seems
Uncle Nick is on cruise control. Between his car dealerships, TV commercials & his lake house, he's too busy to be troubled with running a program. As an LSU fan, I'm glad he's preoccupied. 💪🐅🎵🎶💜💛🏈
It was honestly a very close and exciting game. Bad mistakes by both teams could have swung the game in either direction. Just think what would have been if the UM punt returner knocked the ball inside the end zone. It would have either been an Alabama safety or TD. UM was very fortunate to have the ball die right at the half yard line and recovered there. They made it to OT and finished it from there. If Bama won, the headline would have been the exact opposite. It was an imperfect game yet exciting and competitive none the less.
Can we report he hired that agent a month ago while working on his contract at Michigan? Just because ESPN decided to report about it this week doesn't mean it just happened this week.
I really didn’t c the hype on Milroe I think he is at least 60% responsible for those 6 sacks and don’t forget the fumble that killed our momentum if we would have scored on that possession dude been average and was below average . The real MVP our our punter and kicker
As a Michigan fan, honestly that's not fair! Blame Milroe's offensive coordinators and coaches for his sacks and the plays ran! They schemed the protections and called the plays! They didn't have a consistent answer for Michigan's defense period! Who called the last play of the game? Milroy didn't call his own number! Saban called a timeout and that's the play they came up with. Despite the fact that Michigan's defensive line had been dominating Bama's o-line for much of the game! Not to mention all the low snaps Milroe had to deal with. So to blame the QB who kept Bama in the game is ridiculous! Now don't get it twisted, Michigan also played a subpar game! A muffed punt return which led to Bama's first TD. A missed XP, a missed FG. A muffed punt return that almost led to a safety! All which killed momentum! So don't act like it was just Bama dealing with miscues! At the end of the day, Michigan was the better team plain and simple. Go Blue 〽️ Michigan vs Everybody
Paul Finebaum's career has been largely marketing the SEC. He might as well be talking about NASCAR. This was about Michigan matching Alabama's enormous offensive line and sacking the QB. This was about a athletic but very limited Alabama QB. Alabama is one dimensional and largely about muscle over strategy. Michigan is a complete team and Washington is a complete team.
But everyone was saying if you want to be the best you have to play the best! Well obviously Michigan must be the best!!! Everything that has been thrown at them, they have overcome! Now because Bama lost it’s not their best team! HELLO! Keep finding excuses!!! That pride Alabama has just fell! Like the Bible says Pride comes before fall!!!
I think mostly Michigan is just a better team . Alabama just ran out of luck . We were extremely lucky beating Auburn , could hv easily lost that one and the Georgia game could hv gone either way . Still proud of Alabama this year .
most sensible Bama fan take I've seen all year,.... it's honest, and doesn't mean y'all weren't good, but luck plays a large part in this thing sometimes, and it's 100% why you settle it on the field. With that said, go Noles.... would have been nice to see a team without opt-outs and transfers playing against somebody yesterday. Only true way to hush all the speculation is let an undefeated conference champ who won at all costs in and if they get rolled....so be it, but you can't know the outcome without the head-to-head match up.
As a Michigan fan, beating Bama was almost more satisfying than beating Washington…I know it was a down year for Bama but they are normally coached very well and it is still a great achievement for a program that was down for what seems like a few decades.
I don't remember who broke down that last play by Alabama, but it was a lot closer to being a TD than it looks.. if the right guard (I believe it was) didn't get blown into the backfield, I think Milroe scores on that play
Bama had success with that play, Milroe ran up the gut to the one for Bama's second TD! He had 60+ yards off of that play. Nevertheless, Michigan's D-line got great penetration on that play and did so consistently all game. Personally, I would have ran RPO to give my player a better chance but I think Michigan would have stopped that as well. Go Blue 〽️ Michigan vs Everybody
Considering the number of special-teams mistakes that Michigan made, most other teams would never have beaten Alabama with that poor of a showing on the basics. Alabama is really good at capitalizing on your mistakes .
Disagree as well, Michigan muffed 2 punt returns, lost one on the 30 and fumlbed 1 of them down to 1 yard line, also missed a extra point. And missed a field goal, and missed two wide open throws both behind reciever and still beat bama
Agree. Most people think "mistakes" are only the big, visible plays (fumbles, drops, etc). Blown coverages, blocking assignments, etc probably figure more than most think.
I live in PA and first and foremost a Penn State fan. But I also am an Alabama fan. So I think I can be somewhat objective regarding this Alabama team. Arguably this is Saben’s best coaching year. He took a team that early in the season looked to me to easily lose 3 or more games to the semi-finals. The talent level was not up to Alabama standards IMHO. Especially the Oline and receivers. Yet they ended the regular season with only one loss. Michigan won because they were a more physical team all around. Glad to see Jase McClellen have a really good game, as it may be his last with the Crimson Tide.
Don’t think Saban was out coached, Michigan just had the better players. Bama on offense was one dimensional. They tried to scheme their way to a win but fell short.
The only way Saban was out coached was by having a centre that cant reliably snap the football in shotgun formation. 56 of Alabama effectively cost them the game with two bad snaps in regulation taking them out of FG range.
Finebaum is a Michigan hater who couldn't be objective if his life depended on it. Harbaugh is a class act and outcoached Saban. Michigan's defense was much better than Alabama's. GO BLUE!
The eye test alone we all saw bama got dominated from beginning to end if it wasn’t for Michigan making dumb mistakes probably would’ve been a blowout 🤷🏿♂️
And this man gave FSU, who at full strength, had a similar swarming defense, no chance at winning and stated they did not belong there. Karma at its best!!! As usual, Alabama lost once, and Paul begs the voters to put them back into the race. And what happened? They lost again. Bama lost at home...that should've been enough to eliminate them and give FSU the opportunity to compete. THIS IS WHY YOU LET PLAYERS PLAY THE GAME!!!! Otherwise, simply crown Alabama the champions at the beginning of each season. Each season is EARNED!!!
