"You here for me, to take me off yo the institute"? "I was until I noticed you didn't have a bag or toothbrush packed. You're making this very difficult."
Some of the most emotionally supportive characters in this game are robots. I remember Nick asking me how I'm holding up in one of his affinity conversations. Dude never even charged me money for working as my private eye.
@@chadnorris8257 The setting's economy is barter based with a focus on goods/services. You meet Nick by saving him from a certain death that he knew was happening. When you get him out of the Vault, he thanks you and offers to reunite you with your kid to say thanks. Play the game for yourself instead of reading about it/watching context-less clips. £~¢£ing embarrassing.
@@chadnorris8257 He didn't know Ellie sent the SS after him. Her involvement isn't necessary as you can get him out before going to his office. "I have played the game, quite a bit." You sure know the lingo, don't you 'tist?
@@FerretCuddles Alright. I was mistaken about that. Still, he's one of the nicest companions you get. real hard to dislike. Now as for you thinking I haven't even played the game, I'm not sure how to respond to that. Not sure if I should let you friend me on Steam so you can see I own the game, or what. It probably doesn't really matter either way.
Yeah I stupidly left him in his office for the majority of my first play through, wasn't until I got to Far Harbour that I realised I should have had him along the entire time. So making up for that on this play!
Love how everytime someone mentions the institute hes just like woah buddy, i hate them as much as you do, look at the face they gave me! Thing is full of holes!
@@datguy8460It is because infiltrator synths blends in society. They should be friendly most of time. That's why she fears him. But still it's kind of unlogical.
I mean, the institute is known for making your killers greet you with a smile before brutally executing you. She's just a random farmer who doesn't know as much as us or the protagonist so her fear is quite understandable.
it's rare when these follower commentaries happen, i wish they happened more often though because there is a lot of missed dialogue that is never seen or heard because the game's scripts can often not turn on for what ever reason, i mean i just for the first time ever say the mayor of diamond city freak out after the brotherhood took out the institute, he apparently stabbed that one gate guard Sullivan and you can interact with him by saving him with a stimpack and then deal with the mayor, i have beat the game with the brotherhood multiple times within the last year and that's the first time i ever saw this interaction. maybe it has to do with when i killed Shaun, this time i killed him before attacking the institute, he was on the CIT building after the bunker hill attack when i killed him.
Nick seems to have quite a bit - have seen him go over to a settler and talk to them as if he knew them. But yeah, it would be nice if these things were a bit more common (except Piper telling me to hold on for a minute while she goes and questions someone, does that quite a bit)
There is an encounter where a bunch of raiders call off an attack when they realize you are with Nick. 'Sorry, Nick! Didn't realize they were with you!'
the only interact i get from companion to random settlers is Cait always asking the bartender for an hard drink and the bartender always refusing it and it's funny how it's the same interaction even after Cait personal quest where she's clean
Honestly, I do a bit of writing as/with Nick's character. So, I look up tons of information on his character and listen to voice files from time to time to get a read on him. And Nick can be flirty with some of his interactions. I tend to headcanon that he's a bit of a flirt. Although, he's also just very polite, and that can get taken out of context as flirting, but always a good rule of thumb that being polite doesn't equate to flirting. ^^
