The "Nickelback sucks" meme only gained so much traction bc of the other popular bands and that Nickelback's music more basic. They were never bad; they just weren't as good as other popular bands at the time and the internet had just discovered trolling
I don't care about what anyone has said about Nickelback in the past, they found their niche and did what they needed to do for success! This band KICKS ASS! 💥💯👍🏼❤️
Every band has its general group of people who do not like the band's music. The only reason I feel there are people who say negative things about Nickelback is because it became trendy. Once, a group of us were sitting around discussing Nickelback, and two people (whom I barely knew) said they could not stand Nickelback. I asked them to name one Nickelback song. Neither could. I then asked them to even say one Nickelback lyrics. Again, neither could. They just thought they'd say it to sound cool and then everyone would hop on board with them.

AMEN! Saw them 2007(i think or 2009?) and was best sound ever heard Live . They started the show with this song. An event my daughter and i will NEVER forget for sure (she was about 10yrs old at the time)
Listen man they were one of the best bands in the world throughout the 90's and early 2000's at least 20 decades under their belt irrefutablely.. And huge international record labels wouldn't sign any bands if they didn't sound like them.. It's just the haters hating like they do the best like Mainstream media, Music Aficionados, Idiots, and jealous people.. They didn't sell 50 million albums worldwide being a garbage band and on all the radio channels across the world unequivocally.. They are also the second best foreign band that sold the most albums in America just under the iconic biggest band in the world the Beetles who are first.. That has to tell all the hating dummies something but they are to stupid to know facts.. Trust..
They are great live... the sound is perfect and their voices, on pitch in every song... oh, and they are also very funny: asked the audience if they wanted to sing along and started playing "All the Small Things" from Blink-182😂😂😂
I still don't understand why they tried to cancel them. I enjoy all their songs and it's a band that is so underrated compare to what we have now. This is awesome music
I think it was the over playing on the radio that got them hate. They have always been a good band, especially live, since I heard they were always great and better live

Chad Kroeger and James Hetfield are 2 singers I think a lot of people take for granted, but they have been screaming for decades with little difference. People praise Chris Cornell, but realistically, his vocals were shot after 10 years.
Is this a post from an alternate reality? Without comment on Chad, James Hetfield lost his ability to scream after he blew his voice out in 1993. He started to "Sing song" most of the parts he used to yell after this because he simply couldnt do it anymore. The difference in Hetfield's voice after the Justice/Black Album is night and day. As for Chris Cornell the dude sounded consistent throughout his entire career and could still hit most of the high notes. There were a few he wouldn't go to shortly before he died, but overall that dude sounded the same.
God this makes me want to be at a Nickelback concert SO bad. I remember vividly how it felt every time the pyro went off and the build up of excitement when Burn It To The Ground started. 🤘🏻🔥

I think rock fans can be assholes with each having their favorite band but we all are in this thing called rock n roll together...NOTHING is wrong with nickleback at all.... they good live, they good musicians and nothing wrong with their songs.... good job guys.
This was absolutely amazing, and after seeing this being played live, I hope that there will be a Live Album or DVD/BluRay of this show, because this will be amazing to watch or listen to if they ever do release this live, properly.
Just saw them last weekend at the Churchill Park Music Festival. AMAZING! One of the best concerts I’ve been to. So good live. They finished their encore and the night with this song and the place went crazy. It was awesome!

I think one of the reasons that people said Nickelback wasn't good was because it didn't match the aesthetic and sound choice of a lot of the bands coming out of the late 90s, early 2000s. Let's face it, a lot of the rock from that time period had evolved from grunge to emo. Everything sucks and I want to scream about it. Well Nickelback didn't play that game. Let's be loud, proud, brash, and sing songs that bring the house down. Very different head space.
I'm 54, I saw Van Hagar back in the early 90's @ Red Rocks, what an epic venue!!! I still live in the 80's, give or take 5yrs, musically. I have liked a few new rockers over the years, but absolutely can't stand today's music. I have to say, I've been to plenty of concerts around the world, but these guys sound the same in the studio or live, very rare...PHENOMENAL!!!
When I'm transferring cd's to thumb drive to play in my car I will select only a few songs from any particular cd but with nickleback I transfer the whole damn thing.......
