I never got why Nickelback became hated by anybody. They are a solid band, have some cool songs, and so what if they have said some off color things that pissed somebody off. Name one rock band that HASN'T done that.

@@carl5381 There is no record of abuse. The literal only crimes he has committed is a DUI in 2008, and running a small Mushrooms operation back in the '90's. If he was an abuser, I think Avril would have said something by now.

This group has added a certain kick to my soul here and there. I have found myself really amazed with the songs. I feel pulled to keep trying different songs.
I just saw them for the first time this week. I’ve seen bands live from Pearl Jam, to TOOL and these guys had the crowd going like nothing I had ever seen. Unreal show.
They are the modern version of AC/DC...just a smooth, hardcore band, that is amazing live and really has no weaknesses...yet hated by those who dont know..smdh

"Mutt" Lange is producer for Nickelback and Def Leppard. If you listen to both you can definitely hear the similarities. Nickelback is the "Def Leppard" of the late 90's and early 00's. 🤘 🤘80's rock lives forever.
IMO, the most original song they made. They're hated sort of meme-like. It was just "cooler" to get on the hate bus than to like them. Trust me - they did just fine financially.
I never understood the hate they got. Are they your average generic post grunge rock band? Yes. Does a lot of their music sound the same? Yes. They're still a pretty good band though.
