I literally just watched them play it live from 2007, and this one in 2019 and they perform it just as well. Really incredible for a band. His voice handles the song just as well, not easy to do
I don't really understand why people hated them. These children are hating them just because it's a meme or it's trending. Nickelback is such a great band. The vocalist had one of the most unique voices in the industry.
Chad's voice has held up remarkably well throughout the years! This song is one that's not that easy to sing either. He's singing in his higher register for the whole tune, and night after night.
I watched the recorded video and then this. I thought to myself, "nicely done". I love this song. Everything about it - the vocals - hard but not screaming, the lyric - emotional, but not sappy, the simplicity of the melody - easy to sing along to, the bass follows a simple root-5-root pattern, and extremely effective. Even a new bass/guitar player can quickly learn this song. Just a great song.
@@getgle Photograph is definitely lip synched. They use the same recording from the Live At Sturgis show. The rest of the Rock In Rio concert was performed live but they've been using this recording for Photograph for a while now. Probably to save Chads voice. Still one of the best live acts to this day though!
Fuck this man is awesome...somehow there are still some of them that make good make real music... Those who are singing along in the crowd are real music lovers... They appreciate his work... Because thwy truly know music is that.. No lip sync no auto tune. Gave the best
Ok. So I've analyzed this performance and the one from "Live At Sturgis". This concert is basically live but in this particular song he used playback vocals from Sturgis. I don't know why he did it, given that the overall performance from this concert was far more than good enough. But yeah, saying his voice hasn't changed a bit is a little lie. It's a shame, because I loved the "sturgis" concert with all my heart
I've noticed it too. I don't hate them but maybe he can't sing as high as his voice before or maybe his voice is not rough like before So that's why they chose to lip sync it
Y’all do know he had vocal surgery a couple years ago. They had to cancel the last part of their tour cause Chad’s vocals were shot to sh!t. He tried to stick it out and eventually had to have surgery
