One of the rare singers who can sing live as good as the recordings, no strain, no autotune, just pure musicianship and great song writing. Such an amazing band.
This wonderful gritty, gravelly voice, paired with the smooth harmonies, what's not to like? Acoustic, no auto tune....no where to hide...that's talent.
This is a raw accoustic cover it isnt tweaked or edited or auto tuned in the slightest this is real music this is how it became what it is that is the reason you enjoy it so much - justos
The main reason I like when they do acoustic sessions is that's when you differentiate the really good musicians and singers from the not so good. When they do acoustic unplugged sessions is their instrument and their pipes with no auto tune, no nothing, just their guitar, their pipes and a microphone. This should be a requirement for ALL MUSICIANS.
Does this seem like 20 yrs later? And he still has the great voice.!! Great job.! And I'm thinking he can still do another 5 top #1 songs if he wanted today !! Please try. !!
+Camila C. I agree. The guy has a great voice. Of course it's just my opinion that guys shouldn't highlight their hair (or color it for that matter) BUT with that aside, they harmonize very well.
+Camila C. My guess is that there are two reasons why Nickelback gets so much hate. First is because there is a perception that Nickelback is unoriginal, that they follow a formula, that there music is shallow and overproduced, and people are angry that Nickelback gets so much radio/tv time in place of more original/sincere/worthy bands. The second reason is because people secretly love Nickelback and they are ashamed of themselves. If somebody REALLY didn't care about Nickelback, they probably would just ignore them. So the people that hate Nickelback are secret fans with low self-esteem and they project their hatred on to Nickelback.
This song is a very perceptive commentary, and parody, of people's dreams of being " A Rockstar". I have never understood why people "hate" it. Others have written about the misconceptions of the "rock star" life style. ( Consider Seger's "Turn the Page") . It is a difficult lifestyle, not a continuum of pleasure, and the heavy demands have killed many a talented musician. In addition to the normal joy of listening to this great song, the original video inspired people in difficult situations (military people) to create their own music videos, to match the lyrics! Nickleback provided these people with inspiration, so that they could have some very creative fun. This is a great version of a wonderful song! Love it!
Addictive voice Chad! It's near impossible not to listen to 'just one more song,' only to realise 4 hours later that I've done nothing else but listen to just one more! 😉
