Mariah, IN MY OPINION, may actually be the one of the most qualified people within the music industry to be giving advice and if there was ever an artist that I would ALWAYS accept tips and criticism from, it would be her. I honestly can't think of any instance where I'd be willing to ignore her advice and not follow it.

She produces, she does beats, she manufactures music and is prominent in the music 'scene.' Why shouldn't she be a judge on a singing show? It makes sense. MC is one of the reasons why our music exists and continues to boom over centuries. She may have struggles hitting the notes that she once belted yet none of us can deny that she has done so much, impossible for the other singers to obtain for she is the only reason why young aspiring singers come out.. The “struggle” she has with hitting the notes that she once belted are directed to the same notes that contain the pitches on a keyboard piano. Her voice lowered, meaning it deepened and the tessitura shifted, all due to aging. She still often successfully sings as high as she used to, just not all the way up in the notes that are on the keyboard that she used to attempt (back when her voice hadn’t lowered).
mariah by far is one of the best vocalist contemporary music ever had. and this is singing competition after all, so when she speaks everybody better to listen to it.

Mariah was the one who started the whole drama between them in the first place. Who cares if shes a "legend". Mariah didnt want another girl judge on the show, she was telling everybody BUT nicki this, so when people started telling nicki was mariah had said nicki was confused because she thought that they were friends. When the show started nicki said that she felt the shade coming from mariah, thats when nicki started firing back. Nicki doesnt have to show respect to somebody who couldn't even accept the fact that shes not the only female judge on a tv show & decided to complain about it every chance she got behind the scenes.
