It's pretty ironic that Patrick was casted as Frosty the Snowman since three years later his voice actor actually voiced Frosty in "The Legend of Frosty the Snowman" using the same voice and giving the character the same personality. With that Frosty the Snowman movie being many years after the original special, I guess that explains a lot.
Goofy Goober I thought the skeleton version of him was scary as a kid, plus that Grichelica skit actually inspired me to an Ed Edd n Eddy adaptation of the Grinch, obviously Eddy is the Grinch.
Wow. This is incredibly well written, laden with fantastic pop-culture references, and entertaining as shit. They should just make one big crossover sketch-comedy show.
Something like The Office but with Nicktoons. Set in the Nicktoons Animation Studio in Burbank, CA, Spongebob is the Michael of the fan-series. Just an idea I had in my head! Thanks for the ideas!
This is painfully nostalgic for me. I have so many memories of watching these Christmas specials in the days leading up to Christmas day when I was much younger. I looked forward to it every single year. Now I'm a freshman in college reliving old memories via RU-vid. It's insane how you can blink and suddenly 10+ years have passed...
The “Patrick the Snowman” clip’s ending always creeped me out as a kid. Still, all of these clips are better than any of the holiday commercials from Nickelodeon today.
2:58 12 Bubbles Blowing 3:04 11 Clones Attacking 3:09 10,000 places Debbie would rather be right now 3:12 9 Reindeer Droppings 3:15 8 Oddball Wishes 3:21 7,000 Pounds 3:25 6 Jamming Jellies 3:28 5 Incredibly Expensive Golden Rings 3:33 4 Dudes A-Shredding 3:35 3 Cans of Hairspray 3:38 2 Turtles’ Love 3:41 And a Starfish on a Pine Tree!
8:42 Ironically, Bill Fagerbakke, the voice of Patrick, would go on to voice Frosty the snowman in the 2005 film The legend of Frosty the snowman. Also, one character in the film, Mr. Tinkerton, was voiced by Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob.
Probably a good thing Fairly Odd Parents kept going too and most people agree that got worse even later seasons of Rugrats are considered bad or not as good by some people...speaking of Rugrats it has a reboot that's currently still airing new episodes so there's that. Anyway those shows ending isn't a bad thing most of them didn't overstay their welcome and suffer a slow decline in quality like Spongebob did. I think the real problem is that Nickelodeon doesn't have many good modern shows that can be fondly remembered other than maybe Loud House and most other shows get canceled if their not immediately a big hit like Spongebob.
One thing I truly liked about the Nickmas promos was that they acknowledged all the holidays in December and didn't flat out force the entire theme of Christmas like they do nowadays.
I think the decision was because Angelica was known as the bratty selfish kid on Nickelodeon ten years before Zim was even on TV. (Rugrats aired in 1991 and Invader Zim aired in 2001)
+BeatlesLuvSoftKitty Please, Zim wouldn't bother with such petty schemes such as _ruining_ Christmas... No, he actually *used* Christmas as a means to (almost) enslave all mankind!
I think he got so upset because Jimmy just told him Spongebob wanted to be a frycook, and Zim took that as a personal insult because that was the job he was assigned as a punishment after fucking up Operation Impending Doom 1. So he wanted to know who Spongebob was so he could find him and beat his ass in the Denny's parking lot.
It really amazes me how the modern-day anti-PC brigade thinks this is some magical new fight that only they grasp. Protip: You were ignorant of this then, and you're still ignorant of it today.
So im just finally realizing that @2:26 was the embarrassing snapshot of Spongebob at the Christmas Party lmao. But man, this brings back a lot of great memories from my childhood. I loved watching Nickelodeon especially around the holidays. Great times 😊
The Godlygamer It may NOT for you. But I did seen that snowlady, back in Christmas 2002. On that time I was with at my aunt's house with my cousins watching Nickelodeon. And until then it appeared these commercials. So shut the fuck up, douchebag . Some people started might remember this when their at the age of 2 year old(like me) or 3 year old(like you?). We are different.
Joe Johnson You are a moron. The brain is not developed enough at that age to hold memory other than basic functions such as language and motor skills.
+Shaknowne Chrono One of the best?? I'm afraid you're sadly mistaken... All Rocket Power was, all in all, was a cheap shot from Nick focus groups to try and pander to the "XTREME" demographic to carelessly profit from it. Seriously, how did it stand out as anything legitimately unique??
Ahh I wish that nickelodeon and cartoon network would bring back all the good amazing memories that the 90 kids had. This was one of the best moments around the holidays, watching this with my parents and siblings on Christmas eve was really a amazing time for me :3 hmm they should bring it back. Or at least put it on DVD XD
+Unfunny Dilbert 1876 Yes. I wrote, co-wrote, designed and directed all of the shorts in this Holiday campaign. Some of the most fun I've had in my career.
+Spaceprince72 I don't know if you are still replying to comments but I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for having a hand at these bumpers and shorts, when I was a kid these got me so excited for Christmas and gave me such happy feelings. So thank you for making my childhood Christmas memories something absolutely memorable.
+Jason Phillips I check in from time to time. I can't tell you how much it means to me to hear how much my Nickelodeon work has made so many people happy. Aside from a couple of comic book characters I've worked on I get the most amount of kind comments on my animated work. These Nickmas ones in particular, so thank you for the kind words.
Here's my guesses on who wrote those shorts. 1. Plankton's Holiday Hits - Written by Mr. Lawrence 2. NIckmas Party - Written by Stephen Hillenburg and Derek Drymon 3. The 12 Days of Nickmas - Written by Paul Tibbitt, Walt Dohrn, and Mr. Lawrence 4. Chuckie Finster's Christmas/Hanukah/Kwanzaa - Written by David Rosenberg 5. How the You-Know Who Stole the You Know What - Written by Merriwether Williams 6. The Nutcracker Suite - Written by Butch Hartman and 7. Patrick the Snowman - Written by John A. Davis, Steven Banks, and Merriwether Williams
+Veston Bruno Good guess and very flattering but it was myself and my writing partner Samantha who wrote all of these. We locked ourselves in my office for a month and watched every Christmas special we loved from our youth and found a way to apply our own nostalgia to the current shows, which have now become, your nostalgia. We originally wrote all the shorts as a continuing series. You could watch them all individually but if you watched them all back to back it became an epic journey that SpongeBob the Elf takes in order to become a Fry cook. He encounters all the other Nicktoon characters in different ways. Patrick was a snow monsters, Jimmy Neutron a Toy Maker, etc...etc... It would have been truly epic. But I loved these too.
I remember figuring that out when I was younger lol. I was like oh, so THAT'S the Christmas party he was talking about! Haha I wish they would bring this back!
I was thinking about a lot of these earlier this week! Can't believe they're still in my head after all these years. :) 00:17 to 01:17 I used to think was so hilarious because Plankton can't sing. 03:03 and 03:27 I loved too, mostly because I love to see Squidward being tortured. 08:43 Birthday Happy! (my favorite Nickmas special) Thanks so much for uploading these. Brought back lots of memories of a better time. :')
damn i really miss this . can't believe i watch this on tv when i was 9 and now I'm 21. how time flies. maybe its a sign for me to grow up and stop watching nickelodeon
- The first real Christmas song that Plankton sings is O come All Ye Faithful - The second real Christmas song that Plankton sings is Joy To The World - The third real Christmas song that Plankton sings is Deck The Hall’s - The final (fourth) real Christmas song that Plankton sings is The Nutcracker Suite
so did i. i remember seeing them when id just turned eight. i miss when nick was like this too :( it sucks now. 2002 was the best damn year of my life. i wish it could come back :( merry christmas btw. hope u had an awesome one
Hey! that new ninja turtles is awesome!!!! and that's coming from a guy who grew up on the 80's and 2003 show. Heck, I even watched Next Mutation. But I do agree, most of the shows on nick suck these days. In fact, when ever a new show airs, it seems to last for a few weeks, disappears, then a new show pops up. The only constants are Spongebob, Farily Odd Parents (for some reason) and.......that's it. Nick should have a block like CN's Cartoon Planet were they show old shows and have it at a reasonable hour.
Jaeger nickelodeon has a station with all nicks greatest hit shows from the 90's called nicktoons which is on channel 122 not just cartoons were nicktoons!!!!!! :)
Truthfully their latest version of THE TMNT isnt that bad, definitely not as good as The 2012 Series, or The 2003 Series, but better than The 1987 Series and it's better than the other crap they have on
these nick commercials are so fun to watch:) I dont watch Nick anymore though so i dont know what the Christmas themed Nick commercials are like this year. I loved how they did parodies of Christmas classics.
2002? Holy crap! I think I was 7 when I saw this. I remember back then where nick or cartoon network or disney channel used to get me pumped up for Christmas. I really wish they would bring this back! so many memories
My god I miss old nickelodeon/nicktoons. I was only 1 year old when these came out, but I wish I had been old enough to see and remember them. Has anyone else ever felt nostalgic about something they've never even experienced?
Nyla Allen A crying damn shame indeed, my friend... Oh well. At least the Disney Channel, in an ironic turn of events, is doing phenomenally well, in contrast. You seen Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder, or Star vs. The Forces of Evil yet, by any chance? Those shows are fucking *godly.*
Nyla Allen Is Girl Meets World really that good?? o.o Is it like a sitcom or something? I heard one of the few recent Disney sitcoms out there is Good Luck Charlie, which my girlfriend has been *heavily* recommending to me...
Well if I didn't know better, it'll be all like.... And now it's time for the Nickelodeon Christmas Party, the part of the show where we join our favorite Nicktoons at their first ever christmas party!
Here are the 12 Days of Nickmas: 1. A Starfish on a Pine Tree 2. 2 Turtles Love 3. 3 Cans of Hairspray 4. 4 Dudes are Shreddin' 5. 5 Incredibly Expensive Golden Rings 6. 6 Jammin' Jellies (a.k.a Jellyfish) 7. 7,000 Pounds 8. 8 Marvelous Wishins 9. 9 Reindeer Droppings (It's a Funny Joke) 10. 10,000 Place I'd Rather Be Right Now (That's What Debbie Thornberry Said) 11. 11 Clones ATTACKING!!!! 12. 12 Bubbles Blowing
