A review on a very interestingly built pair of engineer/roper style boots.
This was a collab boot between Nick's Handmade Boots and a clothing brand called Zuriick (one year retired). These are on lend by good friend and boot brother @Boothunter on IG.

loving that mustache dude, you rock it well!! I love the sound of the rain in the background, I thought I had my meditation music on LOL!! wish I had a friend to do boot swaps with, unfortunately nobody lives near me who is an 8.5!! great video brother!!!

Boots look awesome! Through my experience many makers use a rougher material for the interior heel counter to keep your heel from not sliding up and down like a smooth leather would which seems to cause blisters. In the long run it seems to be better for that issue. Im sure once they broke in to your foot and heel they would’ve been fine even without the waxing. Glad you dig em. I’d rock the oxblood of those two

Do you have any issues with this boot heel slipping? I have lace up nicks and they’re awesome and I’ve been looking at a pair of these, how do they compare to lace ups in the sense of staying on your feet?

As long as that heel cup is formed to the back of your foot it really will lock in. It may take longer than most other boots but is nowhere near as pain staking as a Nick’s lace up boot. 👍🏽
