Hi , I'm a Nick's boot owner too. If you want to keep the edge dye looking good for longer, I recommend waxing the edge for extra water resistance. Give it around 11,000 steps , it should feel way better :)

Hey Patrick, for the tongue issue, that is common. I highly recommend getting a pair of Kilties. Nick's sells them for $12.99 a pair. I just got a pair of Iron Rangers, added a pair of Kilties from Rose Anvil, and I am really happy with the results. Plus Nick's currently has them on sell.

Thanks for the comment! They actually sent me a pair of kilties... but they don't go all the way to the top. I guess they are for a 6" boot? Don't think they'd help in this case. But I'll throw them on anyways and see how it goes! Thanks! If it works I'll come back and let you know.

Oh boy he's into the big time with those Nicks. You know they did a jacket with Heat straps called the Patriot and I kick myself for not getting it. Just bad timing.

Im about to get some nicks my sizing thing is i think in line with yours. Your trumans are a 10d correct ? And the Nick's 9.5 e fits similarly ? Your brannock looks identical to mine ive often thought 9.5 e would be right on the money im a 10d in most, trumans the same thing. Did you get any other special fitting or just e width ?

Yeah, I didn't quite think I needed all the thick midsole, so I'm trying the JK OT boots for about the same price instead, but haven't quite dialed in the correct size yet. I think Nick's and White's both gave me bad directions regarding that, but Nick's closer better fit overall but still might have preferred the wide instead regular, but JK seems to run even narrower but don't have any EE in stock, either, blah, blah. I do like this color a bit but that doesn't seem to be the Quick Ship option they call Predator Orange or can get waxed roughout this might not like as much?

I'll put these on my MAYBE NEXT YEAR List and somebody might jog my memory in the meantime that I likely may forget if still on the market for MORE boots. Almost done with Boot Season here already, anyway.

I think you're in the majority with sizing issues. I've heard a lot of folks say it was hard to dial in. I like these in 9.5E. Now would 10-D have worked too? Maybe? Who knows. I did consider the Predator Orange, but ultimately wanted to experience a new CXL and a THICKER one so I can compare how a really nice piece of CXL ages versus the cheaper/thinner options used by other makers.

@@rockymtnstyleYeah, looks much nicer than the usual reddish brown shiny stuff, BUT they also need to have a better color menu thing on that website that I think I've mentioned before that some boots I find it on accident with the correct model, at least. I think the mahogany maybe was a color I would really like someday, too? I haven't stuck to my initial rotation schedule much and it's already mid-March now and I managed to slot in a couple other pairs while skipping the ones I wore last year, etc.

I have 5is cut they to pairs of Nicks and the tong is be folded over for more protection its not a flaw normal and when order a new pair of boots from Nicks you get a faults tongue to protect the boot tongue

I did... but StolenAlias below got it right. I've never had an 8" boot, or a boot with such a thick lug outsole, so I figured I'd go that way! If I ever get another Nicks it'd likely be one of those two.

Hey dude I was not using the too eyelet at first either, but then I did. i get what you're saying about the tongue, but I just wrap my laces around and make sure i get the tongue under them because I wouldn't want them wrapped around my legs haha it is possible
