Great and interesting video Helena, I'll have to watch Nico's video later on. When I first saw the description I wondered how you would manage with the lack of darkness up there, it's bad enough down in the south west I have a combination of Bortle 5/6 and no astronomical darkness. Full credit to you for staying up into the wee small hours to get the imaging done. I've never combined NB and RGB images but you've inspired me to give it a try. I'll look forward to your next collaboration.
Really cool collaboration. I was daydreaming about something like this. Maybe by next year I'll have more equipment, more time, and more experience to have this kind of fun. Well done! Keep doing it.
Really enjoyed both of your videos, Helena! I was most interested in how you lined up your fields of view, since you had slightly different sensors/gear. At the moment I have only my DSLR and 70-200mm f/2.8 photo lens, and small Skywatcher Star Adventurer 2i mount. You and Nico have given me a great look into what might be in my future!
That was awesome Helena. It worked out so good and he is a legend to learn from probably the best on RU-vid! Nice weather and we do get great weather sometimes. Where I live in Scotland it doesn't get dark enough as sky is too bright. How does it feel being with a legend like him? Pretty soon I'm going to shoot the Cygnus wall when it starts getting darker in August! So many targets I want to get! Just can't wait to start going to highlands again for those dark sky locations! You both did great on this shot and keep up the great work!!!
Great video 👍 so nice to see young people full of energy and enthusiasm for science and photography and collaboration. Definitely the brightest sight YT has to offer. Well done both of you 🎉🥞👍
A very nice video about the possibilities of astrophotography. I watch these videos even though I am strictly a visual observer. Everybody loves the result.
Nice job, Helena! I love your channel, your accent, and your bright smile. Collaborating with Nico was a great idea, and I always learn something new from both of you. I look forward to your next vid. Clear skies!!
This is a great video and good successful collab! I'm glad you're getting the eqr6 dialed in. I have an older predecessor (Atlas EQ-G) and I find it to be an extremely capable platform. If I ever have clear skies here in the southeastern US, I'm going to set up a rig at the cygnus wall and one rig at the veil complex. Great video! Clear skies to you.
Hello Helena, I'm suprised when I see you same with Nico. 😊 Do you know a koppel in Las Vegas the Galactic Hunter they have nice ap or your I-phone . greating from Emmen, The Netherlands
hey HELENA, I LOOKED THROUGH THE EYE PIECE OF A FRIEND'S TELESCOPE AND I WAS HOOKED LIKE A HUNGRY WIDE MOUTH BASS. ;-( AND SINCE THEN I'M ALREADY UP TO SEVERAL TELESCOPES IN MY COLLECTION, LOL. I HAPPENED TO SEE A ''GSO 10" F/4 NEWTONIAN STEEL OTA'' AND IT DIDN'T COME WITH A MOUNT, SO I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND A ALT-AZI MOUNT HERE IN THE U.S. WHICH HAS BEEN IMPOSSIBLE. AS A LITTLE FISH IN AN OCEAN FULL OF SHARKS, (MEANING I'M AS AMATUER AS IT GETS, LOL), CAN I ASK YOU, ''WHAT SHOULD I PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN SETTING UP MY GSO 10" IN A CITY ENVIRONMENT, BESIDES THE LIGHTING"". 2# I DON'T HAVE A DSLR, BUT I HAVE A COUPLE 'NIKON P600 & P900 CAMERAS', IS THEIR ANYWAY I COULD POSSIBLY USE THE NIKON COOLPIX P SERIES CAMERAS FOR ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY? I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED THESE CAMERAS FOR THEIR ABILITY TO CAPTURE SPACE OBJECTS. BUT I REALLY WANT TO TRY TO USE THE CAMERAS WITH MY 10'', ;-( PLEASE TELL ME THEIRS A SLIGHT POSSIBILITY ;-[.. I DO HAVE A 'SVBONY 305 I BELIEVE'' BUT AM HAVING TROUBLE GETTING IT TO WORK PROPERLY ON MY 'JUMPER X2 LAPTOP''. SO ANY SUGGESTIONS YOU CAN HOOK A BROTHER UP WITH WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS MATE
